Tossing this idea of a more modern setting out, with rules based on a recent, simpler tabletop game I played.

For a long time, humans thought they were alone in the universe. Little did they know that ever since radio signals started broadcasting, an ill-intentioned race of aliens had their eyes on our planet. Their technology is advanced, but they are not militaristic in the classic sense of the word: instead, they seem to want to simply establish control over our species through subterfuge and seduction. Through careful observation, they seem to have determined the one thing that makes us stand out as humans: our relentless sexualization of everything and everyone. Playing into this, the Stars use raw sexuality in order to bend men in key positions of power to their will. Many governments are already under their control, while a theatrical facade is being made of said governments repelling the invaders in orchestrated battles. As such, the general population thinks the Stars are nothing but a new daily nuisance, and enjoys the benefits of reverse-engineered alien technology, which works like a bread-and-circuses of sorts.

Your characters, the Troopers, are the human part of this sideshow. Given powers by a mysterious benefactor(actually the Stars), they fight off token Star plots through use of their strength, smarts and the shoestring budget of the Trooper Tactical Institute, which has branches in every country and have a fierce rivalry with each other. However, giving humans alien technology might just be too bold a move on part of the Stars. The tools the Troopers use could be the undoing of the silent occupation...if they ever figure out how deep the conspiracy actually goes.

Creating a character
Your character starts as a fresh recruit in the city of Minipolis, a medium-sized trade hub on the Eastern Seaboard of the United States of America. A branch of the TTI has just opened in the city, and they're recruiting enthusiastic young people who want to protect the citizens of the city, and more importantly its booming economy. A brief description of appearance and backstory and the character will gain his wristband, which will allow him to morph into his Trooper Suit, which gives him a mask and the ability to communicate with HQ, before being sent on his first patrol. You will not possess any weapons at the start: like most Sentai shows, the combat is mainly hand-to-hand.

The Trooper starts with 12 points he can freely divide between Stamina and Willpower.
Stamina: Power attacks do Stamina damage. If Stamina drops to zero, the Trooper collapses into unconsciousness. Damage per attack is 1 unless stated otherwise.
Willpower: Charm attacks do Willpower damage. If Willpower drops to zero, the Trooper is enslaved by the Star.
Damage per attack is 1 unless stated otherwise.
Combat is the same as usual, with one action per round.

Ability checks are done with d6 rolls, and in order to pass the character has to roll a number equal or lower than his ability score. At the start, you roll 6 d6s to determine your starting stats(one die per stat). This can lead to the creation of either a super Trooper or shitty stats, but the challenge level will be attuned to the stats of the character, so do not worry about being outmatched. Here's what the scores do:
Condition-How physically fit and agile the Trooper is.
Observation-How sharp of sense the Trooper is.
Knowledge-How clever and well-informed the Trooper is.
Spirit-How mentally resilient and charismatic the Trooper is.
Resources-How much of a network and material goods the Trooper can utilize.
Luck-How lucky the Trooper is. You can spend Fate points in order to use your Luck score for a roll in place of the other stats. All Troopers start with 3 Fate points, and earn more by accomplishing goals towards their mission, such as winning a fight, discovering a lead or overcoming a particularly difficult challenge.

Example Character Sheet:
Name: Abel Johnson
Appearance: Slightly pudgy twentysomething nerd, glasses, brown hair, green eyes.
Backstory: Told to finally get a job instead of sitting around on the internet all day, Abel started working at the TTI in order to fulfill his hero fantasies. While he is physically not that impressive and has an off-putting sense of arrogance, Abel has surprisingly insight and general knowledge.
Stamina: 4
Willpower: 8
Condition: 4
Observation: 4
Knowledge: 6
Spirit: 2
Resources: 2
Luck: 4
Fate Points: 3

As your character starts working for the TTI, he will obtain Salary every day and perhaps even a Promotion. Promotions give you access to a suit with more abilities and other toys, Salary can be spend on helpful items. After every workday, the character goes home and recovers his Stamina and Willpower. As time moves on, however, critical plot developments can happen and the world status can change, so characters dropping in later will have an altered story they begin in.

Posts on the first module will be messaged to people who want to DM, how the Star profiles are created will shortly follow. Feel free to flesh it out or make requests for rule clarifications: I know I have a horrible habit of never finishing anything, so I hope this freeform notion will at least give inspiration.

Module 1 Stars:
Stars are mysterious aliens who take the form of bombshell beauties, infiltrating society for some unclear, nebulous goal. Sometimes they simply kidnap human women in order to convert them into other Stars, sometimes they simply cause chaos, other times they use far sneakier ploys, like launching a popstar's career who seduces men en masse, or poisoning the water supply with aphrodisiacs. Needless to say, they have a range of strange powers at their disposal.

Whenever a Star is needed, the DM rolls two dice. The combined total is the point pool he gets to divide between the Star's Stamina and Willpower. Next up is determining the abilities of the temptress: this is done by rolling two dice and adding the corresponding ability to the Star's repertoire. What the ability can do depends on the Star's rank. The number of abilities depends on the Star's combined point pool for Stamina and Willpower before a rank bonus is given. If a double ability is rolled, roll again until all ability slots are filled.
2-4: 5 abilities.
5-6: 4 abilities.
7-8: 3 abilities.
9-10: 2 abilities.
11-12: 1 ability.
After this is done, add 1 Stamina and 1 Willpower if the Star is Novice rank, and 2 Stamina and 2 Willpower is the Star is Officer rank. Afterwards, describe her appearance and personality based on the abililies and level of the temptress.

Module 1 Abilities
11: Minion Mastery
The Star starts the battle accompanied by 1, 2 or 3 Minions depending on the Star's rank. The Minions can only do Power attacks and each have 1 Stamina. At Novice, the Star can drain a Minion's Stamina in order to recover her own. This takes a round and requires no roll, though the Minion collapses. At Officer level, the devotion of the Minions is so great that they jump in the way of any attack executed on their mistress(whether this is always applicable is left up to the discretion of the DM.
12: Intimidating Presence
Whether she is beautiful or frightening, the Star's sheer presence makes the Trooper do a Spirit save at the start of battle. If he fails, his Spirit is lowered by 1 for 3 rounds. At Novice rank, the Trooper must repeat the save at the end of those 3 rounds, and if he fails again, the penalty stays. At Officer level, the Star revels so much in the effect she has on the Trooper that she recovers 1 Willpower per failed save.
13: Lewd Lunge
Action. The Star suddenly lunges at the Trooper, giving a boost of 1 to the score of the roll versus Observation. After this first use, the attack gets a -1 penalty to the roll instead. This attack counts as either a Power or Charm attack. At Novice level, the Star can opt to extend the action into a hold, and the Trooper must do a check to escape using whatever skill is appropriate. If he wins the check, the Star takes 1 Stamina damage, but his turn is wasted. If he succeeds, the Star does 1 more point of whatever damage the previous attack did, and then it is her turn again. At Officer level, she can continue the hold for as long as the Trooper keeps failing his rolls.
14: Innocent Interrogation
Action. The Star puts on her cutest face and tries to win vital information from her opponent. The Trooper may choose whether the roll is versus Spirit or versus Knowledge. If the roll fails, the Star can use the information if she wins the encounter in a manner that is left at the discretion of the DM. If she loses the encounter, the beating she recieves makes her forget whatever info was there. At Novice rank, the Star can ask the opponent his weaknesses. This gives her a bonus of 1 to her checks versus that attribute for the remainder of the encounter. At Officer rank, the Star can try to obtain the true identity of the Trooper. She has to make a check versus both Spirit and Knowledge, but if she succeeds and wins the encounter, the Trooper must make a dice roll versus Luck the coming night to see if he is not visited that night by the Star in question, leading him to only recover 1 Stamina and 1 Willpower the next morning. What happens with the knowledge afterwards is left up to the discretion of the DM. This action can only be used once per encounter, as afterwards the Trooper is on to her tricks.
15: Dance of Delusion
The Star claps her hands and a mysterious music starts playing in the head of the Trooper she's fighting. The Star begins an illusive dance that puts great emphasis on all her curves. At Rookie level, it is a simple Charm attack that does 1 extra Charm damage if the opponent's Observation is (tied for) his highest attribute, and this particular effect will only occur once. At Novice level, he will take a penalty to either Observation or Knowledge for the next 3 rounds due to being distracted/mesmerized. At Officer level, the Trooper will not only take the penalty, but if he misses an attack while under its effect, he will suffer 1 Stamina damage due to tripping. The blow instantly snaps him out of the penalty, however.
16: Voluptuous Cushion
The Star

This is really cool and detailed. I got had a week off work so I had time to dump some text on the character page but now its back to the daily grind for me.

Also. I'm assuming labsab6 is me. Its me isn't it?

Name: Gage Benson
Appearance: Lean, athletic build, stands at 6'2", blonde faux hawk, blue eyes, prominent nose, full lips, brows are usually furrowed.
Backstory: With limited direction in life, Gage decided to join TTI to make something of himself. He is quite smart but is often too lazy to make use of his intelligence. Having studied the arts of wrestling and disarming, he typically prefers a close fight. He is one to crack jokes, even in dire circumstances. He is, however, somewhat short-tempered.
(Rolled 6d6's, seems a bit high, but I guess scale accordingly if I fucked it up.)
Stamina: 7
Willpower: 5
Condition: 5
Observation: 3
Knowledge: 3
Spirit: 4
Resources: 5
Luck: 2
Fate Points: 3

Clarified it. It's actually meant to refer to the fact that you roll one per stat, so you're going to have to do a reroll.
