Dragon Quest X

Now I am sure like many DQ fans I was upset when DQX was a Japan only release, there is some talk of it going onto other platforms, but none of it seems particularly convincing and there doesn't seem to be any release dates. I'd hazard a guess it's probably not going to happen, meaning we are stuck with the Japanese version, and since it's online only and subscriber based, it's unlikely to get a translation I'd say.

Anyway the information I have is fairly limited, due to the obvious language barrier, there probably is some info to be found, but I must be honest I didn't dig massively hard. So the person in question is a boss (or mini boss, since it didn't seem like anything that hard), who presumes to be called "Julian Te", whether that's the real name or just a sloppy translation I don't know. So she is a succubus sort of elf like lady (although she is pretty much human like minus her strange ears and rather long and lively hair), her weapon of choice is the whip and pretty much all her attacks involve slapping the party members about with it. One such special attack she does a lasso dance with it and it seems whoever gets hit has a chance to get charmed (one for you all you S&M lovers).

Anyway the main reason we are here is for a kiss attack, where basically she bends down towards a character and blows them a cheeky kiss, complete with heart animations. This charms the targeted character for a period of time. Charm has the usual RPG effect of bashing up other party members.

Not bad as far as video game entries go.

I'll have a look a bit more into DQX and see if there is anything else.

I usually don't hold my breath on ports. It feels more likely for things to be translated instead (hurry up with the Megami Tensei If translation, Aeon Genesis! qq)
