GAL BUSTER

Brand new game that has just released it's first set of enemies. So far Nekomata is the only one that I have seen with a kiss attack called "Mana Drain".

Very well animated attacks and absolutely adore the art style.

Very nice. I especially like the different approach animations, like how the catgirl skips toward you and the how that girl with the stick sways her hips when she comes in for the kill.

Progressing is rough, though...! Protip on mashing to escape, repeating the same button over and over works better than mashing lots of keys at once.

To escape, all you have to do is hold the up arrow

I'm not sure why the creator decided to make it black and white. When I heard about it at first, I was really disheartened, but after playing the game, I found out that it didn't matter to me that much as long as it had the content I needed (and it does!)

Well you may not be far off there LazyAlex. When I told him that the game was a bit hard, his reply that old style RPGs were very hard to play and he wanted to emulate them like back on the NES or SNES.

There's a reason that kind of grindy thing died off and/or eased up, you know.  It's not HARD hard.  You're not challenged.  It's just LONG.  You start with nothing and your gold gains are tiny.  10 gold means 10 fights minimum to get your first weapon or armour upgrade, NOT counting potions(Which are strictly better than the Inn, which costs 20, and the fact you don't use SP at first). Then another 10 for the other half. Then...who knows.

EDIT:I have equipped the Short Sword, but my damage has not actually increased against these slime girls, despite the supposed +40 attack.  Joy.  What the hell is the damage formula, then?  Unless it's something funky like 'Because 'Attack' is technically a skill, it's a 'spell' and doesn't check the Attack score'.  Or 'Because it's 'used' like an item, the boost isn't applying properly'.  That somehow wouldn't surprise me.  Especially since using the item keeps equipping it.  It's never taken off.

It doesn't help that the main's 'walk back to ready' from his basic attack is longer than his actual attack.

Just looking at that trailer, the battles look painfully slow. Why does your player's attack animation need to be 5-10 seconds long?

In honestly, I kind of use cheat engine to speed hack the thing because of how your character shuffles forward and back after the attack.

Here's what you do to go straight to the Nekomata enemy as soon as possible.

Leave the inn, head to the forest on the right. Go about the forest, dealing with Slime girls on the way, until you see some characters walking around aimlessly. Those are the Nekomata. Engage them and you're locked into the fight. The kissing attack is called Mana Eater, and it's good for its limited frames of animation. She's literally sucking the life out of you and you're trapped in it unless you break free. I do not recommend breaking free. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

You can always cheat engine your health and freeze it.

Yeah, looking forward to the finished product but game's definitely a bit unbalanced, which is expected from a beta release.

Hopefully he works out the damage formula and stuff. There seems to be no real reason for leveling up since slimes still outspeed you even at level 4 (so you can just get plain unlucky with slime balls) and your damage or defense doesn't increase.

Erocabin just posted a demo of another game. I haven't taken a look at it yet though.

Just ran through it and couldn't find any kissing attacks but he did put a facesitting attack for the boss which was nice for me lol.
