Cain, the Ranger (DarkTemplar13) vs Spider Princess (On hold)

Cain had continued to travel around, hoping to aid people in need. When he visited a new village one day, he heard stories about a monster living in the caves nearby, that had kidnapped multiple people that ventured inside. Listening to the pleads of the village inhabitants, Cain decided to go in and rescue as many people as he still can.

He ventured through the many tunnels, going deeper and deeper, the caverns growing ever darker... Until he walks into a dead end. Confused, he tries to retrace his steps, and suddenly gets caught in a giant spider web! Thinking about the fact that this wasn't here when he went through just now, he suddenly hears a sultry voice: "My, looks like a fly was caught in my web. Guess they never learn..."
He sees a large silhouette storming straight towards him!

-The old ruleset applies: the rolls are 1 to 100 even rolls are a success, uneven rolls are a failure.
-Characters are allowed 1 free action but must otherwise stick to their movepools
-Instead of VIRTUE and VICE, the adventurers have WILLPOWER and the midara have STAMINA.
-Encounters that use characters from the OpenRPG may cause a re-appearance of said midara, depending on outcome.

Paralyzed status- Character will be unable to move next turn and will be unable to dodge the next attack

Charmed Status- The next attack dealt by the midara does +1 Willpower damage

Bind Status- Character will be unable to move and continually suffer 2 Willpower damage each turn unless they roll a 50 or higher and escape


Rolls higher than 85 are considered critical and allows the attacker to follow up with another move

Tracking down the tunnels of this cave had been easy. Too easy. That realization came too late as it was only when he reached a dead end did he even think this might be a trap. He'd come here thinking that he was the hunter but when he found himself struggling against those sticky strands he knew that he was the one who'd been trapped. He grit his teeth as the monster he was here for hurried at him, his hand finding purchase on a small blade he kept on the back of his glove for emergencies like this. Managing to free his arm the rest of him quickly came down as he readied the blade.

Despite all sense he couldn't bring himself to merely go on the offensive at the drop of a dime. He wasn't a mere hunter, he was a ranger. This thing could clearly think and even if it was malicious he had to give it a chance.

"I don't want to fight you. I'm giving you the chance to stop this before anyone else gets hurt. We can talk this through."

Negotiate: 18

As Cain tries to speak to the creature storming towards him, he sees it slowing down, as it slowly comes into view. As she gets close enough, her true appearance is revealed: A spider girl with light gray skin, bright blue eyes with black eyeshadow and makeup, black lipstick, long white hair, and a tiara. He keeps a tight grip on the arachnid as she stops in front of him, towering over him as she looks down on him.

"Oh really? Well, that's good to know." she says while staring at him, a haughty but very seductive look on her face. "I'm not looking for a fight either. Look at these..." She moves her finger towards her lips, making sure it has his attention, and then moves it downward, so that he sees her incredibly large breasts. "I think you know what I want you to do with these..."

Her bizzare yet half human appearance put him on edge to begin with but her words and how she drew his gaze confirmed his worries. This wasn't just some random creature or monster. He'd stumbled into the den of a midara. This wasn't his first encounter with one. He knew how persistent they could be in getting what they wanted.

"I do. I'm afraid I can't condone that though. I'm going to ask you to please stop and leave these people be before they send someone more willing to put an end to you." Not confident in her reasoning after she'd opened up with such a bold attempt at seduction he kept the knife he used to free himself hidden in his cloak, ready to hit her with it if she made a more forceful move.

The arachnid merely laughed at his words, a strange smile on her face, as she says: "Leave them be? What do you mean? I never kidnapped anyone, never held anyone against their own will... All humans that enter here, both men and women, all stay with me on their own volition."

She starts to slowly move to his side, keeping her gaze on him. "And so will you. You may resist now, but you cannot keep your stubbornness up forever. And when you see the error of your ways, I will offer no punishment or pain, only pleasure..."

Just as he feared. Another midara that was oh so single minded, another tsudeo succubus that only cared about how good she could make people feel regardless of their will. Impossible to talk to once they started staring at you with lust in their eyes.

"Just remember, I gave you a chance." With that the knife came out with a flick, aiming at her upper half with a swift strike.

Basic attack: 98 (critical)

Cain quickly slashes the Spider Princess with his hidden knife. She almost falls backward, not from pain, but from pure shock, giving Cain another opportunity to quickly strike!

(Bonus attack)

With an opening so clear for him to take advantage of he wasted no time, jumping back away from her as the knife disappeared into his cloak as his bow slipped from his back. With practiced ease he notched an arrow and took aim, not holding it for more than a second before firing at his target.

Basic ranged attack: 84

Cain quickly loads an arrow onto his bow, and shoots an arrow towards the Spider Princess, hitting her in the stomach. She grunts in pain, returning to her senses as she quickly pulls the arrow out.

Arachnid Embrace: 67
"Guess you'll need a little... Persuasion." She turns around, aiming her spinneret towards him, and shoots a string of web towards him, but he quickly dodges to the side, avoiding the webbing. She quickly cuts off the web with her hindlegs and turns towards him again.

Spider Princess: Stamina 26

Cain takes the advantage he starts with and rolls with it, landing two solid blows before she can even throw one. With him already on his toes it's a fairly simple matter to dodge her obvious attempt to web him and roll to the side. The moment he straightens out of that roll he notches and arrow and goes for another shot, trying to wittle her down bit by bit.

Basic attack: 14

After his roll, Cain decides to shoot another arrow, and his advantage continues to grow, as he once again manages to hit the Spider Princess, this time in her arm.

Venomous Kiss: 54

She once again scuttles towards him, grabbing him and pushing him against the nearby wall. Pressing her huge breasts against him to hold him in place, she uses both of her hands to force his lips into a pucker. "Here you go lover, here's a biiiig kiss juuust for yooou!" She presses her luscious lips against his, and as he feels the silky lips, their touch incredibly soft, he slowly loses power as the venom on his lips paralyze his body.

Spider Princess: Stamina 24

Maybe he was sloppy. Maybe he was overconfident. Maybe she just got serious with him. Whatever the case he hadn't expected such a charge towards him, grunting as he hit the wall. She pressed up against him and forced him into a kiss, his body getting ready to try and push her off... just before his limbs went numb. He knew what happened almost immediately and had to force himself to try and get moving again as he started to drown in her soft kiss.

The spider princess merely laughed at his attempt to escape, knowing well that he cannot do anything against his current situation. "Don't worry lover, just let yourself go... I won't bite."

Spider kiss:

She slightly bends her knees (Spiders have knees, right? Right.) and pushes her lips against him once again. This time, no poison flows through him, only the pleasure her soft lips bringing, almost making him drown in it.

Cain thought of himself as being made of sterner stuff but at his mind threatened to blank as she kept kissing him he realized how bad this situation was. If he wasn't careful and if he didn't get out of this soon he might really just end up like all those missing people. While he did melt with the kiss for the first few moments without the venom he felt his strength starting to return and tried for his next escape attempt.

Struggle: 69

His strength finally returning to his arms, Cain puts all of his strength into pushing the Spider Princess' head off of his. She backs off for a second, purring: "Hmm, I like my lovers strong..." and then lunges forward again, but Cain quickly dodges away, as she merely slams into the wall. He makes some distance between her, as the arachnid turns toward him with a disappointed look on her face.

Spider Princess: Stamina 24
Cain: Willpower 26

He gasped deep breathe of air as he managed to get away, thankful that she hadn't been allowed to go on longer. With her being quick to start approaching again he dove away from her and turned in the air, firing an arrow midflight before landing on his back.

Basic ranged attack: 76

Cain loads an arrow and jumps to the side, moving past the approaching Spider Princess as he shoots an arrow into her spider body, the arachnid crying out in pain as the arrow drives into her.

Arachnid Embrace: 34

He lands on the ground behind the Spider Princess, who immediately uses the opportunity to shoot a web at him, capturing him. Bound, he is pulled in by her strong legs, and is hoisted up by her arms, as she gives him a hug, pressing her chest into his face. "Now, time for a little fun..." she whispers seductively, as she starts moving her breasts around his face, burying Cain into the soft flesh of her breasts as she keeps her hold on him.

In most cases his maneuver might have been a wise choice, flanking the opponent and giving him a moment to recover as they reeled from pain and turned around. Just as he landed and found himself staring down her spinneret he realized this wasn't one of those times. He had no hope in dodging as the webbing got him, tangling him up as she was quick to grab him in her legs and bring him back in front of her. This time she started to smother him in her chest, trying to tease him with her body to break him down. While there was no denying how soft her bosom was he was still quick to start struggling again the webbing when she had him still.

Struggle: 21

Cain tried to fight against the spider girls webbing holding him, but even the blade he holds in his hand seems to have trouble getting through it. Meanwhile, the spider's breasts pressing against his face isn't helping one bit, only making him less focused, so that he puts even less strength into his blade. Meanwhile, the Spider Princess starts to rotate her breasts in different directions, sending an unique feeling through Cain as he feels their softness...

Spider Princess: Stamina 22

This was bad. He couldn't tell if it was his strength or his blade's sharpness that was failing him but he was in quite a bad place regardless. Similar to her lips before he was starting to drown in the softness of her body, catching the womanly scent that clung to her skin as she teased and tried to excite him. Of course even then he didn't give up. He had plenty of fight still in him even if a very base part of him didn't want to keep it up.

Struggle: 37

His will reinforced, Cain's blade slowly starts to cut through the webbing. He tries to put all the force he can into his arms, but some of his force can't be brought out, as the Spider Princess keeps on grinding her breasts left to right. As Cain closes his eyes while putting in even more strength, his mouth is suddenly forced open, as her nipple is put inside of his mouth. He unwittingly sucks on it for a few seconds, before she pulls back and starts shaking again.

His focus had been so firmly set on his task to cut the webbing that he was taken completely off guard when he had his mouth forced open and her nipple pushed back his lips. For a moment he sort of wanted to suck at her teat but by the time he snapped out of it she was just back to teasing him with her chest again. All her teasing was starting to get his blood boiling and he was back to hacking at the webs in no time.

Struggle: 80

With his blood boiling, Cain finally manages to put all of his strength in his arms. He slices through the webs surrounding him, and then slashes sideward with his blade, freeing his body completely and slightly damaging the Spider Princess' lower body, causing her to drop him.

With a deep feeling of satisfaction he gets out of his bondage and gets another cut on his arachnid opponent before she had an idea of what just happened. Quick to put distance between them he decided on a certain desperation act to try and get this over with quicker. He unclasped his cloak and suddenly flung it at her face, trying to tangle her up in it before drawing three throwing daggers and chucking them in unison, hoping to hit her through the cloak while distracted.

Cloak and dagger: 15

Running away from the Spider Princess, Cain decides to try and throw his cloak at her, and then barrage her with a few knifes while she's preoccupied. However, when he flings the cloak, she catches it, and bends forward, unknowingly avoiding the daggers, as she smells at the cloak. "Hmmm, smells like you, lover... Thanks for the present, now I can easily follow your scent..."

While he puts some distance with her, Cain just narrowly spots a thread of webbing near his feet, and jumps over it. Looking around to take a closer look, he sees thread like this all over the cave. He starts to think that it may not be a good idea to make a lot of distance in this battle.
