Salos vs Seamstress

“I could make a special blend for you to try right now, if you could point me to the kitchen.” He offers.

"Okay, the kitchen is over there." Kayla says, pointing.

Salos enters the kitchen and starts making a special blended tea.

Kayla stands there and watches him make it, slowly realizing how much she messed up while making hers.

As he finishes, he offers her a cup. “I hope you like it. I learned how to make it from my teacher.” he said happily.

Kayla closes her eyes as she takes a sip of the tea, afterwards her eyes open, twinkling. "It's tastes so good." She says.

“Thanks. I’m pretty good in the kitchen. It’s a talent I always had.” He admits.

"I bet you could tell from my tea, but I'm not talented like you in here." Kayla says, a sad look crossing her face.

“I could teach you some stuff in the kitchen if you like.” He offers.

"It's not that I'm a terrible cook, its more I'm afraid of the kitchen, with all the sharp object and flames in it." She says.

“How about this? I could stay for a few days, to cook and take care of the kitchen. In exchange, maybe you could help me with clothes and my girl thing.” He offers

"Did I help you at all with your clothes problem in our previous battle? Cause if I didn't, I don't think I could hold up my end of that bargain." Kayla says.

“Maybe it would be less helping and getting to have some girl fun.” He says with a small smile.

"So, I wasn't helpful." Kayla says, with Salos seeing a sad look cross her face again as tears well up in her eyes.

“No you were. You helped me feel like maybe I shouldn’t be so ashamed of my weakness. Maybe I should try to enjoy myself more in clothes like this. I loved all of the outfits you put me in and I want to wear more of your creations.” He said, giving her a hug.

"So, I was helpful?" She asks, really just wanting to hear him say it again.

“Yes. You did help me a lot. Plus you just gained a customer for life.”

"Yay, I helped you!" She says, hugging him back. Salos then realizes, even though she had the body of a young adult and sometimes the mind of one, she still had the heart of a child.

“And maybe while I work here in the kitchen, I could also work on the locator spell for you.” He said, offering her hope.

"Please do. If you manage to do it, I'll be forever in debt to you." She says, breaking the hug and bowing to him.

“Only if I could spend some sister time with you.” He says returning the bow.

"Sure!" She says, with Salos knowing she would do anything he asks as long as it gives her more of a chance to see her sister again.

“I promise to use all my power to reunite you with your sister again. But first, let’s get back to our tea.” He suggested.

"Okay!" She says, beaming, as she begins sipping on the tea again.
