A glitzy and glamorous casino that appears seemingly overnight. The place goes by many names, The Rabbit's Den, The Spiral Wheel, etc. But it is always a den of indulgence and debauchery.
To pass through the casino's many floors to find and confront it's mysterious mistress the player must accrue large quantities of cash while resisting the casino's many temptations.
The adventure is split into four floors and the final confrontation with the mistress in her private suite.
Passing into each floor requires more capital then the floor before.
100 gold for the second floor, 200 gold for the third 400 gold for the fourth floor, 600 gold for the fifth floor and 800 gold to be allowed to meet with the mistress in her private suite. The player can accrue this cash by gambling or other activities. The player starts in the bottom floor of the arena with 50 gold.
Every time the player is reduced to 0 Willpower they lose some gold and the final confrontation with the mistress of the casino grows more difficult.
The DM may roll for it pick events.
Events:
Gambling (Obviously): The player character decides to try their hand at gambling. Gambling opportunities found this way have a higher payout but carry additional risks. Roll to see if the game is attended by a bunny girl, on a crit the bunny girl is particularly seductive one that appeals to the player character's tastes. If the player character has revealed any weaknesses to the staff roll to see if she knows about them. If the player character has revealed four or more weaknesses roll at advantage. If the player character is winning too much the bunny girls may try to use their wiles to sabotage them.
Info Broker: The player encounters a bunny girl offering cash in exchange for weaknesses, framed like a gameshow. The bunny girl pays 15 gold per weakness revealed. Alternatively each weakness revealed can allow the player to spin a wheel for a chance to win 25 gold (40 on a crit success). After each weakness given the bunny girl will make a quick attempt to exploit it if she is able to. If the player has already revealed their weaknesses but would like to continue the bunny girl will offer to give them a temporary weakness for the rest of the run and reward then accordingly.
Alluring Dancers: A group of show girls dance on a small stage, inflicting fascinated and dealing ongoing willpower damage until the player character breaks free and walks away.
A Tempting Offer: The casino offers a staggering number of shows, activities, and even classes, the player character is sure to find one that appeals to them.
An Encounter with Security: One or more members of the casino's scantily clad security force take the player aside to "search" and "question" the player character on suspicions of cheating.
A Job Opportunity: The player character receives an offer to work at the casino for money, tending tables, working at the shows or entertaining the other guests. With predictable results. (Exchange willpower for gold at a general rate of 2 gold per Willpower, increasing with each floor.)
Wealthy Patroness: A wealthy and well connected patroness offers to sponsor the player character's entry to the next floor if they show her a good time. If the player accepts their willpower is immediately reduced to 0 but afterwards they can enter the next floor without meeting the usual requirement. (This event can only occur on a critical encounter roll.)
A Trip to the Bar: The player character visits one of the casino's many bars in which one of three things will happen. 1. A bunny girl waitress accidentally spills a drink in them and insists on helping them "clean up". 2. A patroness attempts to persuade then to by her a drink, dealing willpower damage. 3. The player has the option to buy a drink for themselves, dealing 5 willpower damage but giving them advantage on their next to attempts at gambling. (The effects stack with additional drinks.)
At any point the player character can choose to look around for something fun to do or to try to find a casino game with a lower payout but less risk of cheating or willpower damage (roll for a bunny girl attendant as normal). When taking this option a failed search checks run the risks of leading to an event as normal. The player may also choose to rest, paying money for a room and restoring their willpower. (The price of a room starts at 10 gold on the bottom floor and increases by 15 for each floor from there.) But even their room is not necessarily safe as the player character may find themselves tempted by the many varieties of "room service" the casino offers.
The Mistress of the Casino, also known as Lady Luck is an buxom, achingly beautiful redhead in a black cocktail dress. She is more then happy to spar with visitors, using her natural charms, luck manipulation, and connections to outwit and seduce her foes.
Come Due: Lady Luck gives the target a big kiss, attempting to drain their luck in the process. Deals 1 willpower damage and has a chance equal to three times the number of weakening wills the target has to drain their luck. A target who's luck is drained has disadvantage for the next four turn during which all their fails turn into crit fails.
Feeling Lucky: The Mistress of the Casino takes a sip from her wineglass as she prepares for the fun. Gives her advantage on her next three turns.
Knowledge is Power: Lady Luck takes advantage of one of the targets known weaknesses for 2 willpower damage + weakness effects.
Tipsy Kiss: The Mistress of the Casino takes a sip from her glass before kissing the target, the taste of the wine still in her lips. 2 Willpower damage. + Disadvantage
Under the Table Teasing: Lady Luck surreptitiously rubs her hands all over the target's most sensitive spots. 1 Willpower Damage + Charm.
Effortless Seduction: The Mistress of the Casino strikes a pose that shows off all her best assets. 2 Damage, +1 Damage if charmed.
Phone a Friend: Lady Luck summons someone from the casino to help her, usually someone her opponent had met and surrendered to. They have 5 stamina and stay for 3 rounds. On a crit they stay until defeated.
Head Spinning Smooch: The Mistress of the Casino pulls her target into a kiss that never seems to end. 1 Damage bind.
This idea initially came to me back when I first ran The Mysterious Town and AggronStrong's Guilded City inspired the "progressing by earning money" mechanic. Feel free to suggest additional events of mechanics, I am always happy to hear new ideas.
