Desire, the One-Shot Villainess Empty
PostSubject: Desire, the One-Shot Villainess   Desire, the One-Shot Villainess EmptyThu Jan 04, 2024 12:22 pm

Desire is the alias of a renowned Supervillainess who loves targeting so-called ‘Heroes’ directly and defeating them in complete and brutal fashion. It's not her tight costume, her curvy figure, her seductive charms, or even her powers that you need to worry about. No, it's her very unique fighting style. She will openly challenge Heroes, but then proceed to mock and toy with them, not fighting them directly as she starts preparing herself. Whether it's with gadgets, special techniques, chemicals, or anything else, Desire has every trick in the comic book villain… book at her disposal. Then, once she's finished her preparations, she goes in for her finishing move while the Hero is at full strength, often shattering a Hero's will or outright defeating them in one fell swoop.

There have been so many sightings of Desire, and she has been reported to use so many different styles and techniques, that many theorize that there isn't just one Desire, but instead a group of Midara that all use the same MO.

Passive:

Prep Time: Desire can handle just about any Hero as long as she has enough Prep Time, and prepare she does. Every moment where she looks like she's only avoiding and teasing the Hero, she's actually setting up a sudden and climactic defeat for them.

Any and all offensive buffs (buffs that apply on her own attacks, such as Advantage, Attack Up, etc.) on Desire have infinite duration, and are instead consumed when she uses Act of Desire. Any and all defensive debuffs on her opponents (debuffs that apply when they get attacked, like Evasion Down, Charmed, Off Balance, etc.) have infinite duration, and are instead consumed when they are hit by Desire's Act of Desire. Also, any buffs or debuffs affected by this Passive can stack up to twice.

Heroes Hide so Little: As Desire does her ‘foreplay’ with the Heroes she targets, she carefully analyzes every little bit about them that she can, their wandering eyes, their footwork, their facial expressions, their techniques. In that regard, that's the closest thing she has to a true superpower, her incredible penchant for analysis.

Every time the Hero hits Desire with a move, she will have Evasion Up against that move the next time it is used. This cannot trigger twice in a row for the same move. Also, every time Desire successfully uses Object of your Desire or Crippling Desire she has a chance on learning about a random weakness or fetish of her opponent.

Actives:

Object of Your Desire: Whether by means of sheer skill and talent, or the assistance of a tool or magic or chemicals or seemingly anything, as Desire appears to be as resourceful as she is devious, Desire will prepare and fortify herself for the big finish. Setting herself up to be nigh-unstoppable when she moves in to land her signature move.

Desire applies a buff of her choice to herself on Success, and Stuns the Hero on Crit Success. DMs can choose which buffs she goes for, and are recommended to be very experimental. There is no limit to the amount of buffs Desire can grant herself.

Crippling Desire: Similarly to Desire setting herself up and strengthen herself, she will do the precise opposite to the Hero unlucky enough to face her. She will tease them, ensnare them with gadgets, get drugs into their system, do anything she can to wear down their defenses and leave them nice and ready to lose to her signature move in one go.

Desire applies a debuff of her choice to her target on Success, and Stuns the Hero on Crit Success. DMs can choose which debuffs she goes for, and are recommended to be very experimental. There is no limit to the amount of debuffs Desire can place on her target. However she will never inflict a damaging debuff. Desire will only ever deal damage with…..

Act of Desire: Named after herself, this is Desire's coup de grace! Although, eyewitness accounts of this technique have proven to be… varied. Which is odd, considering it's all one move. But, whether it's kisses or tits or trampling or hypnosis or any other overwhelming seduction, there is one common throughline: Everyone agrees that taking the brunt of an Act of Desire is liable to leave any Hero on their last legs, if not defeat them outright. Any Heroes are recommended to try avoiding this move.

Desire's damage cash out after stacking all of her buffs and debuffs. This move, at baseline, does 1 damage per hit and keeps hitting until it Fails. But, the move can become much more fearsome after Desire stacks her buffs. Desire will always try to make the Act of Desire as potent as she can, and will always attempt to one-shot the Hero with it. Oh, and for RP reasons, maybe have this move take place over several turns of both Desire and the Hero acting and reacting to each other. It'd be one turn of the 'game', but it gives both player and DM a chance to flesh out what's happening.

Finishers:

One-Shotted: If Desire succeeds in her goal, and manages to take the Hero from full Willpower to 0 in one use of Act of Desire, she laughs victoriously over the likely post-orgasm form of the Hero. And, since they were defeated so handily, they win themselves an express ticket back to Desire's lair where she can test new gadgets and tricks for the next Hero she wants to take down.

If a Hero loses to being One-Shotted, and the player agrees, they can develop a Weakness that makes any moves that roll until Fail against them need an additional Fail before they stop rolling.

Overkill: Sometimes, Desire's signature move is way too much for an unlucky Hero. She doesn't stop pleasantly torturing them with everything she's got until she's done, regardless of whether they've already cum buckets for her. Such an excruciating an extreme defeat… it isn't something you can just walk off in the morning.

If Act of Desire defeats a Hero, it keeps rolling even after they hit 0 Willpower. For every 2 points of excess damage Act of Desire inflicts, deal 1 damage to the Hero when they recover from her onslaught.

Creator's Notes: This is a gimmicky Midara meant for fun, and I went out of my way to leave things about Desire open-ended to allow any potential players and DMs a chance to show their creativity with her. Between her buffs, her debuffs, her appearance and attitude, her tricks and traps and tools, and exactly how she finishes her target off, feel free to experiment! The only limitation I left is limiting the stacks of any buffs or debuffs to 2 so you can't just stack Advantage 10 times and win that way). Oh, and if Desire isn't able to score her one-shot, I leave that to you to determine how she deals with that outcome. Personally, I'll have Desire just go again to drain the Hero's remaining Willpower, but you do you.

I really love how having to take out her enemy in 1 shot charges the game for rounds against her. Could create some clutch moves towards the end of battle. Would love to have a go as or against her at some point!
