Roleplay Thread: The World Called Sharma

Erick
"Ngh!?!" The thief growled and tried to tug his hand free.

Aiko
"Oh, I'm YOURS." Naydene said. "Ask me ANYTHING, you adorable little lady~." She sat down with Aiko and gazed into her eyes.

Mattew and Niles
Ruby didn't interrupt their conversation. She was considering heading back in, but she wanted to see what they would do. She thought she'd be better off with more people around her.

Maria
Maria kept walking with Nomi and Lexi in silence, while looking at every place she felt Mattew could be in.However, all this looking made her very impatient. "Um....are we there yet?" After all,she didn't feel really safe,walking through a forest with two seemingly complete strangers. However, what kept her walking was that,after all,Nomi could have a clue on Matt's whereabout.

Aiko

Aiko raised an eyebrow. Adorable wasn't a term often associated with her, nor was little for that matter. Naydene appeared to be making no effort to hide her enthusiasm and Aiko could see where the conversation was heading. She rolled the idea around in her head for a moment. As tempting as it was, she would no doubt end up spending more time then she could afford in the queens city if she went through with it.
Every day that her shop stayed closed would lose her profits, she could afford to set out no later then today.
She let out a small sigh and tried to hide her disappointment.
"Ah, don't mind me. I was lost in thought for a moment. So, about those questions!" Aiko quickly sat up straight energetically and took a small breath.
"Now, tell me everything you can about the queen of sharma. I have heard official stories of course, but I want an insiders view of what became of her."



Niles

Niles hesitated. His answer should have been instant, but despite how much he wanted to leave, something about the idea just seemed wrong. He felt as though there was still something he needed to do in this cave, like he had a vital task that he couldn't leave unfinished. He compulsively scratched his head as he spoke out.
"Let's just... Try one more room, yeah? Be a shame to leave this place an enigma right?"

Mattew
"Hmm....Well,that'sw kinda forgetting everything the common sense told you,but something about this place feels weird. One last room in order!" Mattew said,and then started walking towards the other passage,going deeper in the cave.

Lexi and Maria
"Almost." Nomi told them. The Oni pushed some plants out of the way, and they came out into a large field. "This is the Central Field." She explained. "I'm not entirely sure WHERE they went, buuuut..." Nomi thought to herself. "Maybe we'll just look around. Maybe they're... Up North?"

Niles and Mattew
Ruby smiled a little, her eyes gleaming with the prospect of finding more treasure. She walked up after them, following them into the passage.

Aiko
"Oh, the Queen of Sharma?" Naydene began. She sighed. "The Queen is only the sexiest, loveliest, most powerful Sharmite ever~! And, of course, the rightful Mistress of us all." She giggled. "She gives the sweetest hugs, the loveliest looks, and the most inTOXicating kisses~. Just thinking about her gets me excited... She instigated a war, but they say it ended in a tie. I think that's just silly, the Queen is well on her way to winning. The silly Humans should just let the Sharmites enslave them, they'll just be happy in the end."

Maria
Maria looked at Nomi,and then foward. "North? Is there a city or something there? Because to me there isn't much difference to East and West..."

Mattew
((Caves....I never was too imaginative with them >.> Leaving the scenery creating to you, Taxon/Swerve))

Niles

Niles took the lead and cautiously walked down the passage. After about six seconds he came to what looked like a narrow staircase. The walls around it were precisely rectangular and there was a old banister leading down along with the stairs. It didn't take a lot of light to see that the banister was in a bad state of disrepair, it was practically falling apart. Niles felt the smooth wall next to him as he began descending. It was lined with a thin layer of crystal that seemed to get thicker the deeper he went. It was rough, and unusually shiny considering the low light environment.
"Huh... Can't claim to be a master of rocks, but these seem unique. Crystal formations I've seen in the past have-" Niles was silenced as he reached the bottom of the staircase and subsequently almost tripped over. The ground beneath him was smooth.
"Oh, well here we go. Definitely man made. Now lets get a better look..."
Niles reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out another glowing white vial. He threw it as far as he could and covered his eyes when it was about to land.

Niles peered over his arm to examine his surroundings properly. The stone tiling on the floor was covered with a thick layer of smooth blue crystal. The area around him was reminiscent of an old fort and the room he was standing in had multiple wooden doors scattered around.
"Ugh, creepy. The place looks deserted... This could have something to do with the treasure everyone keeps going on about..." Niles took a few steps forward and examined one of the doors. It was engraved with an image of a small sword. It had a strange air about it though. Strange, but oddly inviting. He hesitated for a moment before turning to address his comrades.
"I suggest we split up for the sake of speed. Then we can get out of here as soon as possible, right?" He said, although he wasn't entirely sure it was him talking.



Aiko

Aiko didn't respond to Naydene's comment. In fact she appeared to be staring right through her at this point, completely lost in thought. She could now safely disregard rumors of the queens death, but she was more interested in the fact that this lapin seemed to be speaking from first hand knowledge. After all, if a nurse can get an audience with the queen, how hard can it be? Her face curled into a slight grin and she got a familiar gleam in her eye.
"So then tell me... Hypothetically, if I wanted to arrange an audience with the queen... How would I go about that?"

((Now THAT's a good place description. You're pretty good at this,Taxon ))

Mattew
"Split up? Alright,but if anything happens,we come back to this area,and then try to look for the others. Basic strategy,but it should work" Then Mattew looked at each door. All of them had a symbol in them. He searched through many until he found one he liked: the image of a stick dude that seemed to be jumping foward, with speed lines behind him,as if he was dashing. "Alright,I'll take this one." After entering,the door closed behind him. "Huh?...Come on,that a REALLY BIG cliche!"He siad,while trying to open the door again. He then sighed. "No use..." All Mattew could do was to face whatever was in the room.

The roos interiors were pretty ample,and seemed way to elaborate to be natural,although the fact that the room had a door and relatively rectangular walls already gave that sensation. The room was kind of a test of speed,containing traps with timing to pass through them,like giant pistons that stomped to the ground every thirty seconds, or big blades resembling the ones used for decapitating fugitives with around the same timing as the pistons. All the room was filled of those traps,as if to test the adventurers that dared to cross them. Of course,with the door completely closed,they would have little choice ind the matter. "So it is like this,huh?...Well...Let the game BEGIN!!" Mattew said,and started sprinting towards the traps at formidable speed. Due to his incerdible knowledge in what speed was related,in around three minutes and a half he already had passed nine of the ten traps that where in the room. However,the last one wasn't as easy. This had a certain path to follow,as of a labyrinth between it. If one could not solve it and escape,he probably would be crushed by the pistons. Of course,they now had a minute of cooldown,but there wasn't much time to be relieved anyways. However,all Mattew needed to do was to use the wind as a guide,hearing when the wind found a wall and hitted it,he could know when it was a dead end,and soon he was out of the labyrinth. All there was to do was to open the door and get out of that treacherous room. Mattew found himself in a big corridor this time,and nothing more than that. No traps,no guardians,not anything. Well,except a dark figure of a person at the other end of the corridor.

((Whew....guess I got a liiiittle carried away with this  ))

Erick

Erick pulled his opponents arm towards him and kicked out hard into his stomach

Erick
The Thief grunted when he was struck, but tried to get away from Erick.

Aiko
"Mmm, an audience?" Naydene replied. "I'm sorry, I'm not quite sure. I'm only so sure because, as a medic, I've been called to kiss her wounds and help her get better." She sighed. "If only she would go about town every now and then~..."

Lexi and Maria
((Whoops, I meant West. I forgot that the towns were to the North and South.))
"Well, here's my idea." Nomi began. "He left and headed South with his friend. Being a slave, he couldn't be headed towards the South, because that's the Capital City, where Human Slavery is illegal for some reason. That way, he'd have to head towards East or West. So I'm thinking West first, just as a guess... To the West is some mountains, so if they aren't there, it isn't likely that they'd pass over the mountains. If they're not there we can just head East." She took a breath.

Niles and Mattew
Ruby appeared to agree with Mattew and go off on her own way, exploring. They hadn't heard her yell, so perhaps she hadn't encountered any traps yet...

The dark figure at the other end of the corridor had a Humanlike figure, but it had large wings coming out of its back. It slowly approached Niles, its footsteps actively audible to him, seeing how quiet it was.

Maria
"West? And to the west would be...." Maria looked towards the west,as Nomi said. Just as she had told her, there were some mountains in the distance. However,that was all visible in that location.

Mattew
((Uuuhhh...I'm a bit confused... I think it was Mattew the one seeing the...winged humaniod))

Erick

Seeing this sign of retreat, Erick sheathed his dagger and held out his hands, "wanna call it a draw..." he said passively, "there's no need for anyone to get hurt"

Sedurra
((hope you dont mind me bringing back a character from quite some time ago))
After travelling for what seemed like an age, Sedurra arrived at the mouth of the cave that the Lamia, who had been spying for the capitol city, was rumored to have taken up residence in. She grit her teeth, trying to suppress the fear of this particular species that was now deep rooted in her subconcious, and stepped inside

Niles

Niles slowly raised his hand and gently pushed the door open. As light slowly began filling the room he took a few steps inside. The room was quite large, but relatively unremarkable, its only distinguishing feature that there was no tiling in the room, instead just pure smooth crystal could be seen underfoot. A faint golden orb of light in the middle of the room caught Niles' attention. He somehow felt that it was his destination, and his reason for being here in the first place.

He took a few steps towards it before feeling the floor below him shift slightly, tossing him off balance. Despite the crystal appearing quite thick, it now had several cracks in it. Niles rebalanced himself and continued walking towards the orb of light. Upon reaching it he knelt down and slowly tried to touch it to see if it was tangible. As his hand passed through it his vision blurred and his mind grew foggy for a moment. The orb appeared to simply fade away at his touch. Upon standing up his mind cleared and his sight returned. He felt a sharp clarity of mind that he had been missing for the past few hours. He no longer felt a irrational compulsion to continue exploring these dangerous depths, in fact, his survival instinct had come back in full force. He turned around to try and leave the room as quickly as he could, but upon taking that first step the ground once again fractured beneath him. He had just a moment to take in the situation before the ground beneath him gave way entirely, tossing him into darkness.


Aiko

"Hm Hmm... That's royalty for you. Well, self proclaimed royalty at the very least..." Aiko leaned back on her chair, crossed her arms and looked towards the ceiling with a sigh. If information and experience on the city were Aiko's goals, then a meeting with the queen would be the ultimate prize. Although the queen was certainly dangerous, that only seemed to make the idea all the more enticing. For purely academic reasons, of course.

Whether or not this meeting would happen, she still needed to make preparations for the trip to the capital.
"Alright, a few more questions." She began. "I'm going to be departing queens soon. Do you know anyone in the escort business? Well, anyone reliable with a bit of combat experience would do the trick really." She shrugged. "Also, I may need a good spell book for the journey. I don't suppose there is a library nearby?"

Mattew
Mattew looked to the creature,a bit shocked "Who...Who are you?" He readied himself for combat,awaiting for the worst to happen. He also backed away and retracted his steps a little,in response to the creature's aproach. "(A succubus?What is it doing here?....Well,more like what am I doing here,but still...)"

Erick
The Thief growled. "You shut up!" He shouted. He attempted to flee. He appeared to catch the attention of some peacekeeping lawmen during the fight, and they gave chase.

Maria and Lexi
"I believe there's a cave to the west..." Nomi told them. "I doubt they'd be in the cave, they'd probably hit the mountains and turn back, but it's worth checking."

((Holy crap, balancing so many characters at once is HARD. XD))
Mattew
The figure said very little and kept approaching. It spread its wings as it did so.
((I feel bad since I forgot what she was going to be. o.o; I don't believe it was a Succubus, though.))

Aiko
Naydene gasped. "Oh, no, don't go~!" She said to Aiko pleadingly. "You should stay around! You'd fit right in~." She extended her arms to hug her. "As for the Library, there's one just down the road, to the South." She leaned in attempting to wrap her arms around Aiko.

Mattew
"H-hey,I t-think I asked a question to you...who are you?" Somehow Mattew felt really umconfortable with the creature aproaching him. "I-i mean no harm, r-really"He kept backtracking until he reached the door,locked like the first one. Now he had no place to go back,and the creature was just four or five steps ahead of him. He was not sure if the thing wanted to enslave him or kill him,but either would bring an end to his adventure. After all,it's actions reflected anything but friendliness. "(Just great. Get transported into an unknown world with his childhood friend just to die or be mind-erased by an unknown creature. And drag two foreigners to probably the same fate,too. Man, I just couldn't have been unluckier, could I?)"
((Hmmm...maybe its either a demon or an overgrown imp,I dunno.The posibilities are infinite for imagination,after all))

Erick
Erick sheathed his blade and watched the bandit run, he turned to pinta "you reckon I should head to a medic or do I look alright?"

((so should I forget about sedurra for a while))

Mattew
"Oh, I'm sorry..." The creature said to him. She crossed her arms and giggled. "You'll have to excuse me, I'm kind of hungry~... I don't suppose, I don't know... You'd have something to eat?" She held one hand over her breast and extended the other. Her arm was smooth and dainty, but up close Mattew could see that this creature was some form of Harpy, even in the low light.

Erick
Pinta looked at Erick up and down. "Well, you're kinda hurt..." She said. She looked at his various cuts and bruises. "A medic wount... Wouldn't hurt." She tried to say, slurring from her drunkness.

Sedurra
((You can play Sedurra. I wasn't sure who the Lamia person was, but I'll play her.))
From inside the cave, there are sounds and resting and eating. Inside, a pretty Lamia was snacking on some form of meat, possibly venison, in an area lit by a glowing crystal. She looked over at Sedurra. "You came." She said quietly. She moved away from the small camp she set up and slithered towards Sedurra. "Are you here for information, darling?"

Mattew
((I see you remembered,kind of abruptly,i'd say,but it may give an interesting turn to this story XD))
"Uh......excuse me?" Mattew was totally taken by surprise by the harpy girl. After all,he had already imagined not few ways for him to end as a slave or directly killed.
"Oh! I'm sorry, I'm just a little...surprised,that's all." He scratched his neck nervously. "Food...I think I have some...just hope it's edible to you too..." He started messing with his backpack once again,throwing things out of it. "Food.....food.....where are you,food?......There!" He brought a piece of meat. "Wait.....harpies are kind of....related to birds,right?......Then maybe bird meat may not be the best choice..." He kept searching until he actually found something apropiate:some fox meat he had hunted and some wild veggies like tomatoes and apples. "Does this work for you?"

Maria
"Cave?" Maria felt a bad sensation just for the word cave,after all,for her,cave meant underground,and underground meant no sun,and no sun leaded to darkness,which was the one thing she feared. "(Wait,wait,wait,they mean a cave? A dark,spooky,and pitch black place? I'm in no way of hell going there!)" She then tried to find a negative thing for going there. "But....um.......it may be inhabited by monsters,right?" Maria then gave it more though. "(Wait...but...what about the...extremely low chance that Mattew is in fact in there? We could be missing the one place he may be in,so......)" Maria then sighed. "(For the sake of you,Matt,it better not be creepy at all!)" "Well.....there's also the posibility of them hiding in there because of thieves,too,and if we decide not going there,then we could be mising a potencial place for them to be in.....So....what do you girls say?"

Mattew

The Harpy leaned in, looking down at the meat, putting a hand up against the door behind Mattew.
"Hmmm..." She thought. "And here I thought you'd just be some boy, again." She took the meat and examined it up close. "Nice, nice... I like it..." She looked at Mattew and giggled. "So, who're you, handsome? If I like you, maybe I'll go easy on you~." She winked.

Maria and Lexi
Nomi looked at Maria for a moment, thinking. "So, are we going? Or no?" She asked. She rubbed her own head, apparently a little hung over. "I'm a bit confused..."

Mattew
"(Go easy on me?....Looks like I wasn't that far from reality with those imaginations)" Mattew tried to separate a bit from the harpy's hand. "Uh...I'd like to introduce myself,have a chit chat and everything,buuut I kinda got my time running out right now and I could get into some trouble for going back late,soooooo....." He tried to flee from the harpy by going where she wasn't holding him,and fastly walked right past her, avoiding all kind of contact "Sorry,gotta run,see you next time!"

Maria
"Well.......let's go there,just in case"

Aiko

"Ah, well, that is convenient." Aiko declared as she stood up. "Now... What volumes to look for..." She began rubbing her chin and casually took a few steps forward, carelessly walking around Naydene's open arms. If not for a brief sideways glance then Naydene could be forgiven for thinking that her enthusiasm had gone entirely unnoticed. Aiko didn't even turn around, Whatever was going on in her head, she seemed completely absorbed by it.



Niles

Niles descended for what seemed like forever before feeling his falling speed sharply drop. A few moments later he hit the floor with a surprisingly painless crash.
Although he couldn't tell what exactly he was lying on, he could feel a thin ankle height pool of water above it. He slowly rolled onto his back and reached inside his jacket once again, pulling out one more glowing white vial. He tossed it to the side, simply closing his eyes instead of shielding them from the blast. He opened them carefully, as if reluctant to take a good look at whatever it was he had just fallen into. The ceiling above him was still pitch black. If there was anything left of the floor above him then it was clearly too high to be affected by the light bomb. Lying down and looking upwards into the abyss like this made Niles cringe, he felt like he could fall up into it if he kept staring, so he quickly climbed to his feet. Just as unsettling to him was the evidence of just how far he had fallen, he was relatively unscathed despite what was an obviously fatal drop. He looked around the room to see that it was very similar in theme to the one in which he had been separated from his comrades. The most obvious difference was that the walls and floor were now completely covered in a massive layer of thick untamed crystal. The room must have been remarkably large though, since some parts were still shrouded in darkness. Niles guessed that it must be square in shape. He could only see one door in the illuminated parts of the room, and it was covered in crystal like everything else. He began taking a few steps towards it, although he wasn't sure his dagger would be able to cut through. As he reached the door he heard a few soft footsteps coming from the darkness. He spun around, rested his hand on a dagger and bit his lip nervously.

Mattew
The Harpy whirled around when he dashed past, and was quite frankly more of surprised than anything else. She considered chasing him, but decided it wasn't worth the effort and began to eat the meat he gave her, casually walking in his direction. After all, where else would she go?

Niles
An individual walked up behind Niles, but didn't appear to notice he was there. The light appeared to stir it, though. The fact it had wings gave away the fact that it was a Sharmite, but this one looked like an Angel... And oddly enough, despite her lovely figure and beautiful face, she actually looked dirty and rough, and not in a sexual way. As in, she looked like she was a scrapper, someone who would come out fighting if threatened, and live off the land if need be.

Maria and Lexi
Nomi nodded and headed to the west. "That's it, coming up." Nomi told them after a little walking. "That's the mountain range with the cave."

Aiko
Naydene seemed rather confused, but was resolute. She followed after Aiko. "Ohh, pretty girl, where are you going?" She asked. "You never gave me a thank you kiss!" Even after Aiko walked out of the building, she walked after her.

Mattew
Mattew reached a seemingly endless corridor full of doors,almost like they were just aside eachother.
He heard the Harpy coming after him,but at a slow,steady pace,like if she had lost her interest in him. "(Great,that'll make things easier)" He thought. He opened teh first door fastly and went inside it. His face was crushed against a wall. "Gh........What the hell?!" There was nothing but a wall after the door. After trying with other doors,he could tell the other doors were no different. He then sighed,and turned to the Harpy,which was just in the start of the corridor.Even though she wasn't really trying to catch him,she had already found him. "Alright,alright,what do you want for taking me to the exit of here? Of course,leaving slavery or any other kind of things like those aside,that is."

Mattew
"Slavery would do." The Harpy told him. "But if you really don't want to do that, then... Hmmm~..." She looked up at the ceiling, thinking to herself. "I want to see what life is like in that other place." She took a bite of the meat and walked up to him. "I don't get how it's possible for Sharmites to just live with inferiors and not dominate them. I want to see what it's like to be around people that see Humans as equals..." She sighed. "Well... Provided we can get out. Honestly, I got stuck in here when I was hunting for slaves. I don't know how we can get out, but maybe if we smacked that wall hard enough together." The Harpy crossed her arms. "After all, you Humans are physically stronger than most Sharmites."
