I can understand about having mixed feelings about a fetish. Not only do I have a kissing fetish but I have an ass fetish as well (facesitting, stinkface, and onara to be exact). I've had friends of mine abandon me because of it, but I've also made more friends that have the same interest in me and some friends that found out about it I learned were very understanding and we became closer because of it.

That's crazy, i would never abandon someone because of their fetish some people are so mean.

Yeah it sucks, but if they dont want to be your friend because of that, then they werent a true friend to begin with.

The usual answer for this kind of thing is couple therapy (can't judge from the context of your post what the exact nature of the problem is, could range from shame to a D/s lifestyle not being satisfying anymore).

Not an expert, but I can imagine the highs and lows of endorphin and adrenaline of extreme play can be addictive in the purely physical sense. But again, a therapist can help you articulate it more precisely even just by functioning as a sounding board. This is the sort of issue you want someone who has been trained to handle it on.

That or even seek and addiction specialist as there are cases of people being addicted to their fetish or sex and coming to grips that it is affecting their lives.
