”This mask is insufficiently expressive.”Appearance:
A skittish, short, young and worryingly impoverished looking figure clad in an unorthodox black costume and a peculiar, indifferent looking drama mask, snatched from a dusty old crate in the backroom of a theatre and carefully preserved ever since.
Description:
A peculiar
”Actor”, the Tragedian was born into a long line a cobblers, and was obsessively intruiged by theatre rather than the venerable shoemaking craft. He eventually stole what little money his family had in order to finance what would be a supposedly illustrious acting career, and skipped town shortly after, never to be seen there again. Likely for the best.
Naive and Estranged from reality, the Tragedian now wanders the world with a satchel of money that isn’t his, and dreams of preforming in front of vast crowds of starry eyed admirers like the actors he had envied for so many years. Unfortunately, he is usually mistaken for a particularly disturbing mugger, and has only a fleeting grasp on how the world functions beyond the fantasies of a theatre.
Passive:Playing the part: The Tragedian understands the craft of becoming another person for the role, and uses this talent to mimic the passive effect of the enemy. Rendered completely ineffective if the enemy has no passive effects. If the passive involves magic, or any other substantially difficult to replicate properties, the Tragedian will be unable to replicate it.
Abilities:Sticking to the Script - The Tragedian makes use of his “talents”, replicating one of the enemy’s attacks that has been already used - to the best of his ability - with the same damage and effects.
Showman - The Tragedian springs to life, leaping into the air and coming down into a cartwheel toward the enemy. The result is determined by the dice.
1-50 - The Tragedian spectacularly collapses to the ground during the stunt, his confidence suddenly disappearing as he inconsolablly screeches about how “Everyone was right!”
The next three turns, all of the Tragedian’s attacks will deal an extra two damage.
51-100 - The stunt goes perfectly, cartwheeling into the enemy and dealing 4 damage.
Ballerina - The Tragedian spins into a series of elegant kicks to the opponent’s stomach, dealing 2 damage each. Three rolls, with each success being a hit.
Elusive Figure - Being concerningly malnourished and wearing such an unusual outfit has its perks. When grappled, the Tragedian can attempt this move once, violently thrashing and slipping out from the enemy’s hold, dealing 2 damage.
Regicide - The Tragedian reveals a prop dagger from his favorite play, the only weapon he ever has on his person, and gives an inexperienced jab at the opponent.
Deals 4 damage.
