Eye Surgery

Part 1

Hey everyone. I am going to be having surgery done on my left eye in a few hours. Hopefully, I will be back in a week or maybe a few days. There shouldn't be any problems, but if something does go wrong, it might end up with me being completely blind or dead.

So if this ends up being my final post on this site, I just wanted everyone to know that it wasn't just me being an asshole and abandoning you without saying anything.

Thanks everyone! I am back and all is good for now. I will be having another surgery on my left eye in early September and one on my right eye sometime later, so I guess I will update here when those occur.

Part 2

Update: Left eye is basically screwed. Only have 10% retinal attachment. I can see color out of it, but it is so blurry, I can't even read out of it. Only good news is that I felt no pain when the retina detached, so there's that, I guess.

Going in for surgery on my right eye tomorrow. Cataract removal and going to get an intraocular lens implanted. If all goes well, I will have improved vision in my right eye, but it is going to take about 5-6 weeks to heal completely, so I won't know anything until then. Worst case scenario is that I get complications from the surgery and my retina detaches or I have to have the eye removed.

Hopefully, I will update this topic with good news. Also, I apologize to everyone I am RP-ing with. I have been trying to get on here more often, but it seems like every time I try, real life jumps up and bites me on the ass.

That's sad to hear about your left eye. I hope everything goes well with your right eye though.

Thanks everyone. Everything went well, so I will hopefully have more time to post (and no more surgeries.)
