“Where are the stolen items in your village?” He asked a little nicer.

"Everywhere." She quietly response.

“Where is the most valuable stuff kept?” He asked, trying to be more direct. Salos figures that getting back to the most valuable would be a little ways in compensation to the thefts.

"It would be with who ever bought it." She explains, "We only steal from the outside, in the village it is like everywhere else, with shops and stuff."

“This isn’t good. You owe your victims restitution for all the items you stole.” Salos said a little lost in his own head.

"I can't do that. I don't have the money or goods for that, besides I don't even know what half my victims looked like." She quietly says.

“That’s wrong. Aren’t you sorry for the people you hurt. I know that your village does this to survive, but you do realize that you all hurt a lot of people.” He says flatly.

"Of course I am, but there is nothing I can do to give back all I stole from them." She says as she starts sobbing.

“You really seem sorry for what you have done.” Salos says as he releases her from the rope. He can’t help but feel a little sorry for the girl.

"What? You're letting me go?" She asks, surprised from him removing the ropes.

“If you try and talk to the others to cut back on attacks. Maybe you could work out a trade deal with the merchant’s guild or some towns close by? That way your town could get supplies and they won’t be hiring people like me to hunt you down.” Salos offered kindly.

"But we don't have anything to trade, everything we have is stolen from them. The only thing we created were the roofs above our heads." She points out.

“Is there anything special that only the people in your village can do? Maybe you should try to find someone who could join your village who has talents that could help you?” Salos offered.

"The only thing we are skilled at is stealing." She says. "Maybe I can help?" A new female voice says, with the two of them turning to see a woman in a lab coat aproaching them, "I can set up a deal where the merchants will supply your village with everything you need, and in exchange you will spend a monthly Hikensha to me." She says, changing the language she was speaking for a single word.

“What does the word Hikensha mean first?” Salos asked, feeling the need to be careful.

"Oh, Hikensha means test subject, but that just doesn't sound good, so I say Hikensha." The woman says.

“And who is your test subject? And what do you plan on using them for?” Salos asks, knowing already what the answer is.

"The Hikensha will be who ever the send to me, and I can't just tell you that, trade secret you know." The woman says casually.

“”What do you think?” he asks the skunk girl.

"I mean sure, I don't think any of us really liked this life style." The skunk girl says as she stands up shakily on her heavily damaged legs, "I'll go to the village congress." as she begins to limp back to the village.

Salos walks over and helps the girl. “Let me help you. It’s my fault that you are limping.” he says with a smile.

Salos carried her til she said, "Drop me off here, we don't like outsiders to come in." at the gate of the village. Once she was set down, the new chick said, "Oh yeah, I should of mentioned she still had you're money." with Salos turning and looking into the village, to find the skunk girl had blended into the sea of identical looking skunk girls.

Salos waited outside the village until she would come back, if she would.

She didn't. "Well, tough lucky for you." The woman said, giving Salos a supportive pat on the back, before she started to walk away, taking something out of her jacket and fiddling with it.
