Rumours had abounded of a vampire that had been making waves with their use of black magic, creating monsters that plagued the surrounding land. Hardly any had lived to tell the tale, that is until one day when one screaming child had been found and rescued by none other than Team Starmage. A supernatural team of various beings that roamed the land doing good and destroying evil wherever it was. So it was that they directly assaulted the castle where this vampire resided.
The resistance had been stiff to say the least, the vampire had clearly been gathering an army of monsters. The group would assault the castle from various sides to tax the forces and battle their way through to the main keep where they'd unite and charge into the throne room. So it was that they attacked. Lunar the android provided air support raining down countless rockets and bullets to ensure that the monsters were constantly harried. The leader Ryan Carlson led the direct charge with his blade, aided by his comrades Chon and Light Killer. A blind martial artist who harnessed the power of chi energy and the latter being a biological magical experiment.
Chon had been getting into the thick of it, decapitating several zombies with one kick and not even using his weapons at that point as he was empowered by his life energy. Dressed in a black ops skintight suit with a red sash around his chest area and a pair of hookswords clad on his back.
"Huanle! Status!" he shouted over his earpiece to try and see where his Sister was in the fray.
"The wine cellar is cleared! We're heading to the keep, waiting for you guys!" she said.
The blind man nodded, his fellows had cleared the main area of monsters without a dent in them. Just as expected from their levels of skill. They rushed to the main keep and the doors opened with a heavy creak. It was full of skeleton knights clad in rusted weapons and armour. Chon smirked, this was gonna be easy.
A short exchange later Chon rushed to his Sister.
"Are you holding up okay Bro?" she asked him.
Chon nodded, though inwardly he was worried. Namely worried that his Sister was insisting she join the front lines of combat, it wasn't that he doubted her fighting ability. After all she learned from him. But still......Suddenly a loud roar was heard as a massive stone golem emerged from the nearby wall.
In that second Chon acted on instinct. He shoved Huanle as far away as he could, just in time for the monster to grab him in its hand as the rest of the group went into action. It squeezed Chon tightly, earning a very loud yell as his ribs felt the pain. Huanle fired a magic spell at the creature's head, just as the stone being made to dispatch the blind man. It let go of him, only for its giant fist from its other arm to await him. Momentum did the rest!
The blind man was sent flying, not just out of the castle but far, far past the nearby land. Chon screamed at the top of his lungs as he was sent in the air, with his lack of actual vision it was as if he was indeed going blind here. Before long however he quickly heard the rustle of trees, just as his back crashed into a tree with the momentum making him go square through it. Chon groaned loudly, his chi energy mastery let him develop a sort of barrier around him to cushion the impact somewhat. However it was soon followed by another tree, then another. And one more. Producing loud crashing noises throughout the forest.
It ended with Chon landing on what felt like a roof, he could only pant and whimper at this point. But his fingers felt stone bricks, perhaps he had finally stopped falling? Suddenly a shifting under him proved him wrong. "Oh......shit......" he muttered as the bricks under him slid away and took him through the roof and what felt like a wooden table. That was the last thing Chon could feel before conscious nature failed him before muttering "H-huanle........" then giving a groan and slinking his head back in unconsciousness. Though he swore, before he blacked out. The blind man could smell.....milk? He gave no reaction however, for Chon was out of it. Save for the twitching of his left hand and a very slight moving of his chest and lungs......
