Selena Vs. The Mysterious Town

Selena and 2B we're heading towards one of the possible bases of operation noted in Lady Auphemia's report. Unfortunately it would take them several days to even get close. As they walked a heavy fog suddenly fell upon them.

“Let’s continue on, just keep an eye out for anything that may try to use this fog to ambush us,” Selena tells 2B as she continued into the fog.

2B nodded, her eyes glowing faintly as she tried to use some of her more exotic features to look through the fog. After a few more minutes the two found themselves in a moderately sized town.

“That’s odd, I didn’t believe there was any towns along the way,” Selena noted as she went through the town, planning on quickly leaving and continuing onward.

The two continued only to find a toll booth blocking their path. Manned by a young woman.

“Is this the way out of this town?” Selena asked, wanting to make sure their directions didn’t get messed up by the fog.

"One of them. This one's the fastest." The woman said casually. "Of course, you gotta pay the toll."

“And how much is the toll for the two of us?” Selena asked, checking to see how much gold she had on herself since she assumed 2B didn’t have any to pay for herself.

"Four gold. Or a kiss." The woman said with a suggestive waggle of her eyebrows.

“Here’s the gold,” Selena says as she puts the four gold near the woman.

The woman nodded, taking the money and waving them through. "You could have saved some money." 2B teased.

“Four gold wasn’t that much, and I’m betting it was more of a kiss then you thought since it was to let both of us pass,” Selena replies, “I guess you could have paid that toll with a kiss if you wanted to save money that bad.”

"But then I don't get to watch you being cute." 2B joked. The two reached what they thought was the edge of town. But after several more minutes of walking in the fog they found themselves right by the entrance again.

“That’s strange, I didn’t think we got turned around,” Selena says as she goes back towards where she thought the exit was.

They went to the exit again. Only to find themselves back in town once more.

“Do you have an internal compass build into you that could help navigate this fog?” Selena asked 2B, assuming she had gotten them turned around again.

2B thought for a moment. "I don't think so. Maybe we can wait out the fog?" She suggested, just as lost as Selena was.

“I’ll give it an hour or so before we try again,” Selena says, not wanting to waste too much time waiting for the fog to roll away.

"Can we find an inn while we wait? I don't like this weather." 2B asked, shivering to prove her point.

“Fine, but if we can pay by kissing, you can do that since you are the one who wants to get out of this weather,” Selena said as she began to search for an inn.

The two quickly found an inn. 2B practically dragging Selena inside and to the front desk. "Hello. How may I help you?" The innkeep politely asked.

“We would like a room,” Selena says.

"For a pair of weary travelers such as yourselves. Five gold for a standard room." She offered.

“That sounds like a good deal, or that we paid too much at the toll,” Selena mentions as she sets 5 gold on the counter.

The innkeep took the money and handed them a room key. "First door in the second floor."
