Sieq vs Neo

As Sieq was looking around town for jobs to do, he found a well-paying job to protect a magical artifact. Even with his colossal appetite, the amount being offered would have been enough to keep him well fed for weeks.

Sieq hoped this would end up better than the last time he tried this. Surely, a seductive midara thief wouldn't swoop in and take the treasure and his heart, right?

Sieq arrived at his destination to find he wasn't the only one to take up the job. A short woman with pink and brown hair was waiting outside of the building. She smiled at the dragon man and greeted him with a wave.

"Hello there." Sieq said, smiled and waving back politely. Then, he quietly took up his post with the short woman, waiting patiently for something to happen.

The short woman also quietly waited, not making a sound as the sun set. Soon the two were alone in the dark cover of night with nothing happening.

"So.... so far so good, huh?" Sieq said to her, trying to strike up some idle conversation with the curious lady. He had to admit, her eyes and hair were interesting to look at, but didn't scream bodyguard to him.

The woman nodded as she pulled out a note pad. She wrote something on it before she ripped the paper off and tossed it to him. The note read:

Sieq cocked his head in confusion, it was strange that she didn't just say that. "Are you not able to speak? Well, this way works fine, I guess. Sure, I can pass the time. Have any ideas?" He replied to her after reading the note. He wasn't sure what to do with it now, not much reason to hang onto it, but it also felt rude to throw it away in front of her.

The woman with multicolored hair nodded and wrote another note before passing it to him.

"I do have some stories to tell. Not all of them are proud tales of accomplishment, I'm afraid.... admittedly not many of them are. Feel like hearing about the time I found the Mysterious Town of Arset, or maybe the time I was caught and sold off as a pet?" Sieq offered her, deciding to just roll with her being mute. They could still communicate, so it wasn't much of a problem.

The woman's eyes lit up in interest, the colors changing as she wrote another note.

That was a peculiar weapon, but Sieq had some of his own. He lifted his arm, brandished black-red lightning, and hurled it at Neo to start things off.

Sieq's bolt struck his opponent, but some sort of energy flashed across her body as she stumbled back.

"Hmm..." Sieq recognized it as some form of barrier. Time to test and see how much punishment it could take.

Straightforward Strike
