Nil vs. A Busty Giantess

Nil had gotten wind of a juicy lead. Up in a nearby mountain range, there was a treasure that was rumored to be 'larger than life'. But, it was also said to be guarded by an immense 'wall of flesh'.... however that didn't seem to do much to dissuade the treasure hunter from going treasure hunting. He had spent the morning climbing up the mountain trail, and now the sun was high in the sky and he just had to get searching.

Ignore the latter part of the rumor, as he had little idea what that could mean, Nil started his trek around the mountain range to find this treasure, keeping an eye out for any place it could be hidden, which to him was primarily caves and crevasses which could lead to hidden areas.

Search (53) Fail

Unfortunately, he couldn't yet find anything matching that description as he climbed. Maybe he had to go higher? Also, was it just him, or were the leaves on the trees shaking? It wasn't windy today, so why were they trembling?

Assuming that it was probably just some animals moving in the trees, Nil started moving his search higher up the mountain.

Search (91) Fail

There was a lot of mountain range up here, but there was no place anyone could hide any treasure, certainly not 'larger than life's treasure. The trees were still shaking as he climbed, and the ground was shaking too? It was like a constant, subtle earthquake or somehting....

With it possible being the prelude to an earthquake, Nil decided to delay his search for treasure to search for a safe spot that he could take shelter if there was an earthquake.

Search (6) Crit Success

It was hard to say what'd make good shelter for an earthquake, if he picked a cave or a tree couldn't it collapse in the tremors? Maybe the best place would just be some open clearing,and that's what Nil found nearby. As well as the opening to some form of cave system. And, the shockwaves were getting stronger by the second.

Nil stuck to the opening, planning on checking out the cave system once the earthquake had passed.

The earthquake wasn't passing, and the more Nil felt it.... it wasn't an earthquake was it? It was almost like, giant footsteps walking at a brisk pace. Coming closer and closer, almost to the point of heaving the ground out from under the adventurer's feet...

Nil could hear where they were coming from, and when he looked that way... a Giantess was coming! Right towards him!

Unsure if the giantess had noticed him, Nil tried to quickly make his way into the cave system to gain some cover.

Hide (4) Crit Success

Nil slipped into the cave as the Giantess sat down in the same clearing he was waiting in. She didn't seem to see him, but she was right outside the only exit to the cave. Then, the treasure hunter's instincts told him to look deeper into the cave, and he found a hoard of loot! There was a chest that was twice as tall as he was! And many times as wide! A treasure chest fit for a Giantess.

He now understood all the odd wording used around this treasure. Assuming that there was some way for him to reach the hatch of the chest and that he could actually lift the top of the chest, he tried to carefully and quietly lift it so he could witness what was inside the massive chest.

Luck (74,84) Success

Nil managed to reach the latch, and amazingly, it wasn't locked. However, the lid was heavy, and hard, to boot. It wasn't going to be easy to lift, especially since he couldn't keep his feet planted on the ground while throwing the chest open.

Before attempting to open the chest, Nil took a quick scan of the cave, seeing if the was any spots he could escape to or hide in that preferable were not giantess sized.

No such luck, no exits to the outside besides the one going towards the Giantess, although it seemed like only the huge woman's hand could fit inside. There were some tunnels going deeper, but who could say where they would go? The Giantess wouldn't be able to follow him down them.

Then, the Midara started shifting around.... was she looking at the cave now? She was coming a bit closer...

With her appearing to come closer, Nil tried to get out of plain view and into the deeper tunnels.

Luck (26,94) Success

That was a good call, the Giantess suddenly reached into the cave and grabbed the chest. If Nil didn't duck into the tunnels, she would've caught him, too. What would he do? She had the treasure.

He decided to follow the giantess to watch for a chance to snatch the treasure. He waited out of view in the deeper caves as he waited to hear her booming footsteps to be going away from the cave.

Luck (10,72) Success

The Giantess seemed to have quickly put something in or out of the chest before she slipped it back inside, closed up again. She wasn't leaving just yet, but she had gotten done using her little stash.

Nil peeked out of his hiding spot to see if the giantess was still looking towards the cave or if this was his chance to try looting the chest.

Luck (54) Success

It looked like she was just lounging around and looking up at the sky. Nil couldn't get a good look at her from this angle, he could only see that her hair was blonde, her skin was fair, and her breasts were huge.

Seeing this as his chance, Nil left his hiding spot and went for the chest, ready to try forcing it open.

Luck (6,60) Success (Why is he so lucky)

Nil started lifting the top, it was a hell of a weight, though. His body might not have had the strength to lift it all the way. But, it was budging, it wouldn't be impossible. The Giantess shifted a bit.

While hearing the giantess shift around was concerning when he couldn’t see her, Nil couldn’t stop his attempt at opening the chest enough for his to grab something from it, since it would probably make a loud noise when it closed and would echo out of the cave.

Luck (79,97) Crit Fail

Nil pushed with all of his might, but he couldn't keep it up, especially since he was too short to lift his arms high enough to send it over. He gave it one last shove, only for it to not go up far enough. And then, it dropped back down and made the loud noise he feared.

"Hey? Was that my chest?" The Giantess asked as she started reaching into the cave.
