Feng Vs. Midara Stage Magician

Feng had a quest, to prove himself the best swordman alive. But to do that he would need to find worthy foes to challenge, and that wasn't going to happen if no one knew his name. While looking for ways to build his reputation the swordman heard of a Midara performer who went by the stage name of The Incredible Irene, and that her performances often involved her sparring with adventurers live on stage. A bombastic battle in front of a live audience sounded like just the thing to spread his name. If he could find her perhaps something could be arranged?

This Incredible Irene sounded like the perfect opportunity for him to get his name out there and to have an amazing battle! Giving his blade a once over and ensuring it was ready for a fight, Feng took off in a dash, stepping on the very air itself in order to get on top of the highest nearby structure. From his vantage place, Feng hoped to see something indicating the Midara’s presence, whether that’s a grand stage or people converging towards someplace, although he was assuming the performer was here seeing how this is were he heard about her.

It didn't take long for Feng to spot what he was looking for. Large circus tent a little way out of town to which lots of people seemed to be converging.

If he was a betting man, Feng would go all in on that being what he was looking for. Once more, the swordsman took off, practically leaping from roof to rooftop, then to the treetops and finally landing at the clearing the tent was pitched in.

Feng landed safely, and quickly noticed that behind the tent was a large trailer, the perfect mobile living space for a traveling performer.

Feng gave a quick look around the area, seeing if he spotted any signs restricting the area around the trailer from non-employees, which are signs he’d then pretend to not have noticed. The more important thing he was looking for was any posters advertising the stage magician, seeing if he could get a face to the name before he could accidentally challenge some random other performer to the battle.

There were a few posters around, all of them featuring a tall, curvy woman with long green hair wearing a top hat, a red leotard and black sleeveless vest, and tight fishnet stockings. Ther didn't seem to be any signs restricting access to the trailer.

Chances are, that’s the Midara he’s searching for, and hopefully she was right behind the door of that trailer, which agent approached and knocked on.

The door soon opened, and sure enough there was Irene. Feng found that she was even more attractive in person. His sharp eyes noting the way her full breasts strained against her vest top. "Can I help you? I'm afraid the show doesn't start for another 45 minutes." She said, doing her best to sound approachable.

Feng knew how his eyes worked and quickly diverted them before he started to notice the even more minuet details of the performer’s strained and ample bosom. How the sun’s light reflected of the corrugated metal the trailer was made of was a good enough distraction for the time being. Besides his eyes, Feng wasted no time before pitching his proposal. “Hello miss Irene, I’m Feng and I’ll get straight to why I’m here. If you’re selecting an audience member for today’s show, please let me be your choice. I believe my swordsmanship would help you provide a great show and getting a fight on stage with someone as famous as you would mean a great deal to me.”

Irene was pleasantly surprised by his proposal. "You're looking to volunteer for the show? That can be arranged. I must warn you though, the show is a bit... risqué. And if you volunteer for the exhibition match I will expect you to stay on stage for the rest of the show. Not too put to fine a point on it, I will be seducing and teasing you the whole time. Is that alright with you?" She asked, being extremely straightforward with the aspiring swordmaster.

“All of that is certainly no deterrent to me. I would have honestly been more surprised if your performances weren’t… meant for older audiences,” Feng admitted, “Now, I was expecting it to take a little more persuasion to get you to accept my volunteering… so I guess is there anything I should know about the sparring or will I just see you then, in 40ish minutes if I heard you correctly earlier?”

"Well you can tell me your favorite ways of being teased. It will give me a bit of an advantage but it makes the spars so much more fun." The magician suggested with a sultry smile, standing aside and inviting him inside.

Feng gave the suggestion a second of thought as he entered Irene’s trailer. “I don’t think I’ll tell you that,” He answered after gathering his thoughts, “On one hand, you’re right that it’s make that spar more difficult and enjoyable, and I would usually accept such a handicap, but I got a crowd to impress today and I doubt fighting you won’t already be fun. Instead, I’ll give you this tip and let you come to your own conclusions. Don’t be fooled into thinking my sword is the sharpest tool in my arsenal.”

The magician pondered his words as she took a seat at her small kitchen table. The inside of the trailer was surprisingly spacious, with a bed, small kitchen, and bathroom. "Is there anything you want to know about me before we face off?" She asked, returning the favor.

The swordsman gave it another second of thought before answering. “Nah, you don’t need to tell me anything, but if you want to, you can give a vague tip like I did,” Fang replied. He didn’t want to spoil some of the fun of the match by knowing too much ahead of time, but if she wanted to be cryptic, he would allow her.

"Well... Let's just say I have ways of figuring out what you're into." Irene replied, idly shuffling a deck of cards as they spoke. "Do you have any special skills other than sword fighting that I might be able to work into the show?

"Well, since this will be very obvious once our spar begins, I might as well tell you this. I'm faster than most and have a stepping technique that's akin to running on air," The eventual swordmaster told the magician, continuing to keep silent about his eyes for the time being.

The magician's eyes lit up. "So you can fly?" She asked. Flight always impressed the crowd, even if it was temporary.

"Again, more of running on air, as in if I slow down then I start falling," Feng corrected, "If anything, think of it as wall running, but instead of a wall, its the air. So I can't slow down much and there's always a slight angle to it."

"I think I understand." Irene said, still visibly excited. "That's still very impressive. I bet we'll really be able to wow the crowds." The stage magician suddenly got to her feet (giving Feng another eyeful of her bouncing breasts) and took a second to stretch. "Well, no need to delay. Let's head over to the tent." She suggested, the show wasn't starting yet, but it seemed a good opportunity to prepare.

Damn his blessed eyes for giving him all the detail of that bouncing boobie bliss. "Yeah, let's head over," Feng agreed as he stood up himself and made his way out of the trailer ahead of Irene.

Feng got a front row seat to Irene making finishing preparations for the show. "When I introduce you come on stage. Feel free to fly through the curtains if you can. This is your chance to really make an impression." Irene told him as she got ready to head in stage and start the show.

“I’ll make sure to make quite the entrance,” Feng ensured the magician with a thumbs up, “Since I don’t know if I’ll get a chance to say this on stage, good luck in our spar.”

"Good luck with to you too." The magician replied before stepping through the curtains. Feng heard her welcoming the audience and introducing herself. "And today we have a special guest who will be joining me on stage. Feng the Swordmaster." She said, signaling for him to join her.
