He continue to struggle against the slimes desperately , he can't end in this way,he will survive,he don't want to be ate by that thing he focused his last strengh on his arms and try to separate from her clone shaking his body

Struggle

He will survive. He had to survive. It was his only option.

Theta's kiss took away most of his life already. His whole body was cold as ice. The slime invaded every bit of his body, sending waves of pain and pleasure that made him lose control of his senses. Prowd's vision darkened, he needed to breathe... he needed to... survive. With the last ember of his spirit, Prowd called upon his talisman's power - it was now or never.

But it refused.

The talisman was emptied of its magic power, just like the assassin himself. As the sword of darkest nightmare fell to the ground, Prowd knew this was the end. He could not lift a muscle. Closing his eyes, the man accepted his fate...

The slime continued kissing him long after his body went limp, melding together with the clone as Prowd laid still between them. Soon, nothing of the assassin could be seen, only a twitching black form.

Hmm, just magic after all.

Within an inch of the assassin's life, Theta retracted itself away from him, leaving the man right there, in front of this house. He was barely breathing, but still alive. Theta had consciously stopped itself from absorbing too much of Prowd's essence. Was this a result of a past mistake? It didn't matter now. To Prowd, he had survived an encounter with death itself. And to Theta, the hunt was over; the next one lying beyond the horizon - a big city, full of life.
