PostSubject: Iro & Shiruku   Iro & Shiruku EmptyTue May 25, 2021 9:38 pm

Iro

Appearance: https://safebooru.org//samples/3147/sample_db36c51c1a908811e3b265cd5d5ef1f185880cd5.jpg?3274348

Description: Iro comes from a long bloodline of summoners and beast tamers, however, she doesn't partake in either of these through traditional means. She instead uses a brand of magical paint, every color having different effects, which if she makes a picture of someone or something using it, she can summon it. She can be a bit of an airhead when her guard is down, but she goes into a state of concentration when it comes time for business. As of currently, she is just wandering around, looking for people of great beauty to paint portraits of.

Moveset:

Portraits (Passive) - Iro's signature ability, after defeating an opponent, she may ask them if she can paint a picture of them. No matter their answer, she will end up painting a portrait of them, however, depending on their answer, what she can do with that portrait is different. If they give her consent to do so, Iro can use their portrait to summon a perfect copy of them to aid her in battle as an ally with 5 health, but if she doesn't have consent, she can use their portrait to create a short time copy of them to use one of their moves. Characters she has portraits of are found in the following list:
Portraits:

Portrait Portal - Iro takes out a portrait and uses the ability it has, to some limitation. Each portrait can only be used once a battle, and only one ally can be summoned from them at a time.

Color Palette - Iro's other signature ability, she spreads a streak of paint on herself, giving herself a buff that lasts for three turns, until she applies a new color to herself or the opponent forcefully removes it. The buff depends on the color of the paint she applies to herself, shown in the following list:
Colors:

Aero - Iro swipes her paintbrush through the air, leaves a streak of blue paint that turns into a blast of wind. Deals 1 damage to each opponent she is facing.

Atomic tangerine - Iro swipes her paintbrush through the air, leaves a circle of orange paint that turns into a blast of fire that is difficult to dodge. Deals 1 damage and always has an advantage.

Azure - Iro swipes her paintbrush through the air, creating a wave of blue paint that turns into a concentrated blast of water. Deals 2 damage.

Cyber yellow - Iro swipes her paintbrush through the air, creating a zig-zag of yellow paint that sends a spark of electricity at her opponent. Deals 1 damage and chance to stun.

Dark orchid - Iro swings her paintbrush through the air towards the opponent, sending a blob of dark matter at them. Deals 2 damage and has a chance to daze.

Rusty red - Iro swipes her paintbrush through the air, leaves three blotches of reddish paint which turn into metal balls that shoot towards her opponent. Deals 1 damage, attacking three times.

Shiny Shamrock - Iro swipes her brush at the ground, spreading green paint on the floor that enchants the area for three turns. During those turns, all actions, for both her and her opponent are either a critical success or critical failure.

Sizzling Sunrise -Iro's most powerful attack, she swipes her brush through the air, painting a cross out of golden paint, which causes a ray of holy light to shine on her opponent. Deals 3 damage.

Spring bud - Iro swings her brush at the ground, spreading bright green paint on the floor, which causes vines to uproot and wrap around her opponent. Binds the opponent.

Weaknessses:
Traits
An Eye for Art - Iro has undying respect for other artists, especially for those whose art is through makeup. If an opponent is attempting a move that applies makeup to themselves, Iro will automatically not attack, not wanting to interrupt them while they work.
Fetishes
Makeup - As an artist, Iro is disappointed in herself for her lack of talent at applying makeup to herself, so when a mirada tries to apply some to her, she puts up little resistance. Attacks that apply makeup to Iro have an advantage.

Teasing: Soft caresses and spoken temptations quickly overwhelm her. Willpower attacks made before Iro fights back and attacks consisting entirely of verbal teasing do +1 damage.

Love Magic: Any attacks that involve her getting hit directly with Love Magic deal +1 Damage.

Now, you may be wondering, how does she keep all her portraits with her at all times for use? Well, there is a simple answer to that, she has a companion with her almost all the time.

Shiruku

Appearance: https://safebooru.org//images/2836/343d68d80743dc4f791961211232165fce9b880a.jpg?2954819

Description: Shiruku is a free-spirited, childish kitsune whom Iro befriended that now travels with her. She brings with her an arsenal of abilities, ranging from the manipulation of foxfire, a kitsune exclusive ability, to illusions and spatial manipulation, allowing her to store Iro's portraits in a pocket dimension that they can easily be taken out of at any time. And unlike Iro's more straightforward fighting style, Shiruku likes a tricky approach to it.

Moveset:

Suprise Factor (Passive) - As her fighting style relies on tricks and catching opponents off guard, Shiruku gains an advantage on the first use of each of her attacks, or if the attack already has an advantage, it automatically hits.

Double Trouble - Shiruku, using her illusion powers, splits into two separate versions of herself, her opponent unaware which one of her is real. While she has a copy of herself on the field, attacks against her require two rolls, one to see if the attack was successful and one to see if the attack hit the right one. Her copy disappears after being hit.

Flaming Punch? - Shiruku calls out the name of her attack, making a show out of engulfing her fist in blue flames, before appearing in front of her opponent. With their guard up expecting a punch, she lands a devastating kick to their gut. Deals 3 damage.

Foxfire Firefox - Shiruku taunts the opponent, while secretly using illusions to leave the area, leaving behind a copy of herself made of foxfire, which the opponent will find out if they make contact with it. After this move is used, Shiruku is in a Firefox stance, having the copy explode on contact, dealing 2 damage, until she uses another action or is hit by a ranged/projectile attack.

Orb of Deceit - Shiruku appears to send a ball of blue flames at the opponent, an attack that is easily dodged, but that was just an illusion, with the real attack sent to where Shiruku guessed they would dodge to while being masked by another illusion to make it invisible. Deals 2 damage and the opponent must roll to see if they figured out what that attack was. If they fail that roll, this attack doesn't lose the effect from Suprise Factor.

Pocket Sand - Shiruku reaches into her pocket and pulls out a fist full of sand, throwing it at her opponent, sometimes enlarging it with special magic. When not enlarged, deals 1 damage and inflicts dazed for 3 turns. When enlarged, deals 3 damage and inflicts dazed for a turn.

Role Reversal - Shiruku uses spatial manipulation to reverse the roles if she is in a bind. Places opponent in a bind with the same conditions whiling freeing Shiruku from the bind.

Sucker Punch - Shiruku instantaneously moves from her current position to behind her opponent, landing a cheap and weak blow, before returning to her starting location. Deals 1 damage and has an advantage.

Tail Tripping - Shiruku charges the opponent for a basic punch, that deals 2 damage, but if they avoid it, Shiruku tail catches their leg, tripping them, dealing 1 damage, and giving the opponent disadvantage on dodging the next attack.

Taunting Misdirection - Shiruku makes some distance between her and her opponent before she begins to taunt them. If they react to the taunts with a ranged/projectile attack, Shiruku uses her spatial magic to redirect the attack back at the sender. After this move is used, Shiruku is in a Misdirection stance, sending any projectiles back at the sender, until she uses another action or is hit by a non ranged/projectile attack.

Weaknessses:
Traits
Easily Distracted - Shiruku is quite easily distracted, causing attention-grabbing actions, such as ones using bright lights or shiny objects, to gain an advantage against her.
Fetishes
Petting - Unlike the wild beast a kitsune usually is, Shiruku is more like a domestic house pet, meaning she has picked up a liking to people petting her. Attacks that can be seen as petting deal +1 damage to Shiruku.

I recently remembered that I made an account on the forum so I came and checked it out, finding the roleplay community thriving, so I thought why not join in on the fun. I would appreciate feedback on these two since I tried to make them complex for my first characters. I plan to run them as a duo, so I'm guessing they will either face a single opponent with buffed health or multiple opponents.

I love this concept. I feel like it can be used for good and evil. Depends on the mood of the user.
