Kit vs Mei-Mei

"But Master said I was a good student," Kit told Mei-Mei as her face blushed while looking up at the fighter, before she tried to get up again.

Faster than Mei-Mei could react, Kit was back on her feet.

Something suddenly dawned on the kitsune. "You just used magic, right?" Kit asked, and without waiting for Mei-Mei to reply, went to strike at the points a majority of magic flowed through.

Sealing Thrusts

"Yeah, what about it?" Mei Mei asked as she weaved around Kit's strikes. As she dodged the last attack, however, she slipped on a patch of loose dirt.

"If you weren't so good at dodging, I would have interfered with the flow of magic in you, using a technique Master taught me, proving that I was a good student," Kit answered as she took advantage of Mei-Mei's slip.

Leg Sweep

(Leg Sweep -Auto- Down -roll 28- Success!)
(Get Up -roll 35- Fail!)

Mei-Mei just let out a grunt as her opponent managed to knock her off of her feet.

Mei-Mei: 29 Stamina + Downed

"I got you now, Legs," Kit told Mei-Mei as she raised a leg high into the air, before bringing it down with force at her grounded opponent.

Axe Kick

(Axe Kick -roll [5, 84]- Success!)
(Get Up -roll 23- Fail!)

Kit's foot came down on Mei-Mei interrupting the black-haired woman's attempt to get up. "Kicking a girl while she's down?" she remarked with a grin.


Kit: 7 Willpower + Charmed
Mei-Mei: 26 Stamina + Downed

"You kicked me while you used an outside object, and you used magic on me while I was down, so I think we'll be even after a few more," Kit replied, going for another of those kicks.

Axe Kick

(Axe Kick -roll [60, 96]- Crit Success!)

Mei-Mei let out a pained moan as Kit's heel slammed down on her crotch.

Mei-Mei: 23 Stamina + Downed

“Oh, um, I didn’t mean to hit you down there,” Kit said with a sheepish smile, “Let’s consider ourselves even now and fight fair and square, no outside objects or attacking when the other is down.”

"Naw, fighting dirty is the only way you'll have a chance." Mei-Mei remarked as she laid on the ground.

“Well, I guess since you started it,” Kit replied, raising her leg for another kick.

Ace Kick

(Axe Kick -roll [53, 47]- Fail!)
(Get Up -roll 17- Fail!)

This time, Mei-Mei managed to roll out of the way before Kit's foot hit her.

Mei-Mei: 23 Stamina + Downed

“Come on! Don’t start avoiding while your on the ground,” Kit complained, getting impatient as her kicks didn’t seem to do enough damage, so she went for her unrefined technique again.

Body Blast

Mei-Mei rolled out of the way again and all Kit accomplished with her technique was slamming her own head into the ground.


"Are you one of those people martial arts masters intentionally train wrong as a joke?" Mei-Mei asked as she finally got up.


Kit: 5 Willpower + Charmed
Mei-Mei: 23 Stamina

“Master wouldn’t do that to me,” Kit shot back as she got back into a boxing stance and threw a quick jab.

Quick Jab

(Quick Jab -roll 26- Success!)
(Triple Kick -roll 76, 52, 70- 3 Success!)

Kit's fist connected with Mei-Mei's cheek, but, before she could dart back, the martial artist's leg slammed into her side. A second kick hit her in the gut. A third and final kick clipped the kitsune's head and sent her spinning to the ground.


(Kit has been defeated! Weakness-Auto- Losing to Mei-Mei has given Kit a new appreciation for lovely legs, causing leg-based attacks to do +1 damage to her!)

(How do you handle the new move Kit gets from her loss?)

The devastating three kick combo left Kit sprawled out on the ground. “I yield,” She says between her breaths.

(I was thinking that she would ask her opponent to teach her something she saw from them, or even something they don’t have in there moveset but could teach her, or if they weren’t willing to teach her, she would just figure out a move she saw from them on her own, maybe making it slightly weaker)

"You okay?" Mei-Mei asked as she walked over and peered down at her defeated opponent.

“Yeah, I’m fine. I’m just not used to being hits so hard at the end of fights, Master would always lighten up if he noticed I was getting exhausted,” Kit answered, before her eyes lit up with an idea, “Hey! Could you teach me that kick that sent you up in the air? I’ll show you how good of a student I am.”

"Sure." Mei-Mei agreed with a shrug. It had been a while since she got to talk martial arts with someone.

“Great!” Kit happily said as she got up, her tail excitedly wagging, “So how do you do it?”

"It's simple. First you jump up. When your foot connects with the target, you use them as a springboard to launch yourself higher and hopefully, knock them over so they can't avoid whatever you do on the way down." Mei-Mei explained.

“That sounds easy,” Kit says, “And I haven’t even thought about attacking from the air! Oh, I could use my axe kick from up there, it would pack even more of a kick than it already does, but that probably wouldn’t be the softest landing for me either.”
