A Trip Through a Magical Forest (Forest of Fairy RP)

Elise slides out of the inn, finally free of the people that rather poison themselves than to actually solve the problem that they beg others to do. The others should be finish with what they were doing and buy some supplies, hopefully the ones that she requested. The other two females are here yet but that male is...or rather currently heading towards the forest...alone. Great, from one idiot to another.

With a casual flick of her hand, it extends far outwards and grasps at his shoulder. "...are you so eager to be dominated by midara that you go alone?" The last word of the sentence was punctuated by a great deal of annoyance from the slime mage even having a higher volume than her murmuring quietness, if her translucent face of annoyance wasn't enough of a tell already.

Tobias saw the look on Elise.face so he slowly walk back where she is without saying nothing than whistle and playing with a little.flame.trying to not look at the annoyed slime he didn't.want.to annoy her more so he stay there and quiet.

"So a forest filled with plants midara, fairies and a mysterious castle, you say... We better be careful going in, fairies are mischivious and what they lack in strength they fully make up for it with plotting." Xana placed a few coins on the counter in front of the man and smiled. "A little tip for the information. Thank you for your time, sir."

They had some information now, it would be much better than going in blind. "We should go meet with the others. They should be by the inn."

"Got it! Lead the way, Xana! So, a forest of Midara, huh? Deja Vu, that's the thing you say, right? I mean, I guess my home didn't really have fairies..." Anika wandered out of the store along Xana, ready to meet up and delve into the forest to be totally heroic.

(ok, since i'm online now, i'm gonna assume yall are going in the forest in the interest of convenience, but feel free to contradict me.)

As the group of 4 made their way towards the forest, and stood right over it, now it was up to them to really go in.

"the others are taking time" tobias complained a bit as he sit in the floor watching his own little flicker as he wait for anika and Xana to regroup with them.

Anika and Xana happened upon Elise and Tobias near the forest entrance, not quite where they agreed to meet. The nekomata's ears twitched subtly as she overheard what Tobias was saying, her face turning to a frown. "It's called preparing, rodent man!" she called to him as they neared the two. "Hot tip, don't go running your mouth or whine about your companions when one of them has heightened senses."

"it seems i'll have three pans in my head in no time.." tobias said as he felt like a ant when annika scolded him as he just get up and put off the flame with a bit of nerves in it. "Sorry kitty, i'll not complain about the three of you anymore, specialy the slimy one, that...one,make me feel i will be drown in angry sea of slime", changing his nervous behavior he shake his shirt and get ready to start this quest.

"Now, now. Let us all calm down. We need to work together if we want to help these people." Xana tried to mediate, she was used to this kind of stuff after all. "We learned some interesting things from the shopkeeper..." She then proceeded to tell them everything they learned from their diggings. "So that's that. A forest filled with fairies and midara plants plus a mysterious castle."

She looked in the direction of the forest and then back at the group. "Shall we get going?"

"is the best option, we can't do anything more in this town,so lets enter.the Forest and make those midara there enter in reason" tobias said with a smile as he wait.for.the others answers.

"Sounds good to me! Let's head in and give these fairies a whooping!" Anika was eager to move on now that the rodent man had apologized, quick to forgive and take her attention onto more exciting prospects.

Elise nods in agreement, pleased that the other two have not been wasting time and been making preparation. Noticeably however, her attention perks up that her detected demeanor seems to have faded at the mention of fairies.

"...fairies..." She speaks with more life and emotional than she has ever in the entire trip here, even with her admonishing with Tobias. Her tone quivers a bit and she has a grin on her face, one that portrays hunger.

After entering the forest, things were quiet around the adventurers, and they proceeded unhindered, but that was only the beginning.

(I would like to ask you to state any special actions you feel like doing, otherwise i'll just consider you wanted to advance)

Anika wanders around, keeping eyes and ears out for any Midara that might try to approach. After some time, she looks to the trees and has an idea. "Oo, oo! If any of us get lost in here, I could climb one of the trees and get a better look around." She thought it was a good idea, at least, though it was mostly borne of the fact that she was in a forest entirely unfamiliar to her.

"i hope no one get splited from the group" Tobias mentioned following the others steps to not get lost to early as he look around trying detect any midara trying to approach keeping his steps close to the group ones.

"...don't take too much of a risk." Elise trusts Anika a bit more with going alone than Tobias but it is still a bit risky to do sentry, even for an animal kin. She lets the keen senses of the cat relay any information of any midara that may be near the vicinity. As strong of a magic Elise is, she isn't exactly good with detection spells. But she can do this, while they are idle.

She drones our a spell in her own vocal vibration for a moment. For the magic sensitive mages, they can detect Elise casting a spell. After the spell is completed, many different watery orbs seems to be floating around the party but staying a good distant away as not to accidentally hit her allies. "...now I am prepare for hostiles."

Even with Anika's suggestion, Xana wasn't someone that would leave things to chance. Since they entered the forests, she started to drop tiny stones with runes carved on them, they would serve as a way to find their path back to town if needed.

As the party makes their way through the dense forest, Xana steps on the wrong branch, causing vines coated with a purple fluid to rise from the ground, aiming to ensnare her in place, unfortunatly for the vines, the female warrior was quick to jump out of the way, reflexively swinging her spear, slapping the the vines directly towards a tree, with the crushing impact of Xana's spear against a tree, the plantlife tears itself like a sack full of air after being crushed beneath someone's feet, lifelessly secreting it's purple mucus everywhere.

Looking around, there are trees and brushes everywhere, and the 4 members of the group can swear they hear at least one femine laugh between the foiliage, but as it seems to be coming from everywhere, the party cannot tell where... what do they do?

"that was close, and what in the earth was that" Tobias said trying to figure where the found of that laugh is as he stay alert in case of an ambush,he didn't want to get and opportunistic midara surprising him from nothing.

Xana was quick on her feet to avoid the trap. As soon as she landed safely and got rid of it using her lance, she put it away as quick as she summoned it. "Looks like someone is onto us already." She looked around, trying to pinpoint the source of the laugh.

Elise frowns as Xana barely avoids the trap. Apparently they are in enemy territory and have prepared some unwelcoming elements to this excursion. Leave it to the natives to make this trip more troublesome than it needs to be.

The other seems to be more trying to find where the enemy is but this also leaves the traps still about. Even if they _do_ find the enemy, the party's mobility will be limited and there isn't a guarantee that the perpetrator has some attacks that can target them.

Elise starts to spray a large jet of her own slime around the place, creating the pressure it would require to trigger the same nature of traps that Xana had but ensnaring nothing. At the same time, it would litter the field with her slime, turning the home field advantage around.

"Woah, what was that! Did an Alraune do that or... A fairy?" Anika looked around and focused on pinpointing where the laughter was coming from with her senses. No way was a little trickster going to get one over on her.

Just as Elise spreads her Slime all over the battlefield, ivy-like tendrils spring from the ground around Xana, wrapping around her and binding the woman within a spiky embrace. Yet, for some reason, Xana seems to be getting aroused by the spikes cutting around her skin, maybe there is some aphrodisiac poison in play.

But Anika's cat senses picked up something, coming from their 6, 6 meters (20ft) away: A rustling of leaves and feminine whispers, likely to be their foes.

Tobias decide to help Xana off from the thorny bind of the spiky vines as he pull off his knife and cut through the weed to release xana from her embrace. "I'll Help you Xana,resist a little bit", said the pyromance almost whispering to not draw to much attention.

"I found our culprit, guys! She's in that direction," Anika called to the rest of them, getting down on all fours and preparing to attack. She was going to give them a taste of their own medicine, attempting to shoot magic through the earth and surrounding plants to try and tie down the distant enemy.
