Echo Forest - Salos in the Forest's Edge

Salos soon found himself into Murmur City, the town bordering the renowned Echo Forest. The forest was well known for being a good place to train, thanks to the low danger level of the midara residing there. First, however, he had to prepare. He has managed to aquire 500 gold coins before coming here, and has a choice between hanging onto all of it, or spending it on supplies, before he heads in.

Salos decides to use the gold to buy supplies. He heads to the general store.

As he enters the store, Salos has to navigate between a fairly dense crowd of adventurers. Many look inexperienced. He does eventually get to the counter, where a lady with a red ponytail welcomes him, and hands him a list of wares he can purchase.

“I’ll take an energy Crystal to be safe.” He says as he hands her the gold.

"Alrighty ! Thank you for your patronage !" Salos gets handed a pale blue gem. As he stores it away, he feels himself filled with a strange endurance...
Salos' maximum energy increased for this trip.
He's now penniless until he heads out of the town and forest, however, unless he finds more during his trip. Only thing left to do now is to head in.

Salos has only taken a few steps inside the forest, and yet the area already lost some visibility, with the trees blocking some of the sunlight. Still, he stays focused and heads deeper without going in circles. He has to step over a few freshly dug holes, however.

Salos gets lucky and finds some kind of trail left behind by another adventurer, with some chalk marks on the back of nearby trees telling him the way.
However, as he walks down the trail, he hears what sounds like an argument.

"H-Hey ! C-C'mon, i just ate, you can't just get my hard-earned mana... S-Seriously, stop ! Get your own !"
"...Sleepy... Hungry... No one around... It'll be nice, come on..."
"A-Ah~ ! ...N-No, i didn't like it, buzz off, s-sheesh !"

Salos gets closer to hear what the argument is about and who was arguing.

As he leaves the trail to investigate, he stumbles onto a rather curious scene. A kneeling girl clad in wool was cradling a fluffy girl with rabbit ears into her arms, making out with her. As salos gets closer, he walks on a patch of dry leaves, and the noise alerts the two.

"...Fresh mana. Tastier."
"Okay, first : Rude. Secondly, truce ?"
"...Truce..."
The sheep lets the hare out of her embrace, and the two begin to approach him
"Heeeeeey there. What are you doing here, pretty-boy ? Here to train ?"
"Come here... It'll be nice..."

“I’m not afraid of you two. Don’t judge me based on appearance.” Salos said with a calm voice. He creates four daggers of flame and aims at the hare.

Two of the daggers hit their mark, one lands harmlessly onto a stump... And the hare kicks the last one back at him, the flat of the blade landing right in Salos' face.
"...Oh crap crap crap-- Nevermind, it wasn't the pointy end, we're good."

"...Oh ! Yeah ! Then watch... THIS !" The hare jumps high, avoiding his shot... But she misjudges the distance, and lands right onto the sheep. "...Soft... But wrong target..." She quickly gets up, embarrassed.

"I know, i know, sheesh !" With a huff, the Hare attempts another jump, and this one was clearly going to hit him. Under pressure, Salos unleashes powerful flaming arrow that sends her flying !
She lands right on the lap of the sheep. "...You did good..." The sheep then looks up at Salos, doing a shush gesture. "Can you give me a second..? ...I have something... you may want to hear..."

"...W-Woah, what about our truce, missy ?" The hare objects, but the sheep gently grabs onto her head. "...Hurt... Tired... Please rest... No more, okay..?" Then, the sheep begins to make out with the hare, gazing into Salos' eyes the entire time. "I-I've still got this ! C-C'mon, sto-- Mmf--! Mmmh~. Mn...~" The hare falls asleep in the sheep's lap, as she gently pushes her off onto some leaves, before standing up.
"...Sorry for the wait... A few yards from there... North... Hollow tree... Back to it now..."
The Hare is too exhausted to keep fighting !

But just a slight bit too much, singing his own hand with the flaming bow, which throws off his aim. The sheep calmly walks up to him, with a concerned frown. "...Ow... Looks painful..." She forces his hand onto her wool, the pain from the burn dulling instantly... And then just hugs him while she's at it, the contact of her wool making him yawn....

The sheep slowly sits down on the forest soil, bringing Salos down with her, laying his head on her lap, before leaning down to give him a long, soft kiss on the lips, one that made his vision blurry and body heavy. "...Just like home..." She begins to sing a lullaby as Salos rests on her legs.

Salos couldn’t resist once she started to sing a lullaby to him. Feeling like a child with its mother, he just laid there on her lap.
