Picking both up at the same time was quite the jump in difficulty, but Thomas could still handle it if he buckled down and focused. He could definitely start feeling a burn.

The man started breathing heavily but kept at it. His feet thumped against the treadmill as he chased the fleeting image of his missing sister.

He kept pushing, kept running, kept going but he couldn't catch up to her. Thomas was really pushing now, yet he could've endured it a while longer. Just a bit longer.

Thomas ran and ran, but that mental image of his beloved sister only got a little bit closer. His legs were screaming at him to stop, and it felt like the treadmill was getting more difficult to traverse every second.

Thomas stopped the treadmill and hopped off of it. He doubled over, with his hands on his knees, as he panted for breath.

Clea Vage came over and gave him a thumbs up. "That was pretty good! But, the most important thing is to keep it up. One run doesn't get results, so you gotta keep going. Oh, and don't forget to keep yourself hydrated and fed." She told him, handing him a bottle of water.

"Th-Thanks." Thomas said as he took the water. He greedily drank it before he wiped the sweat from his brow. "What's next?"

"Rest up, your body won't improve if you push it too far. You can take the time read the pamphlet, check out what the league is like." Clea Vage suggested to him, happy to help Thomas get settled in.

The man nodded and looked for a place he could sit down and read the pamphlet.
