Len Let Loose in the M.W.A. Arena

Len awoke with a painful start as he fell on a thinly carpeted floor. Getting up with a groan, he looked around to find himself in a surprisingly comfortable looking room. A waiting room, perhaps? Wait, why was he here? Where was here? He was asleep, why did that happen? Memories came back one by one.

A suspiciously woman offered him... something. A job? Probably. He accepted it, so it was probably a job. He followed her, asked her if it paid and then he woke up here. A midara. So he had been brought here, more specific name pending, by a midara, and he wasn't alone. All around the room were other adventurers and vagrants of various appearances, backgrounds, and apparent desire to be there. One detail of the midara that had taken him suddenly set off warning signals in his head. She looked like a fighter, but her attire was more flashy than was practical. A wrestler. He'd been taken by a wrestling midara and was currently in a waiting room. Nothing good was likely to come calling for him.

"Shit." Letting out a swear and a groan escape his lips while he recovered from his back pains from this hard-af ground... damn it, he needed to get his bearings, because this place probably wouldn't wait for him to take his sweet time... should he ask the other fighters...? No, apparently all of them wanted to be there, he didn't want to look like the exception, not before he knew what was truly going on.

For now, Len would try to look around and try to find a door, or any other alternative, that led away from this room, preferably one labeled "exit", but he would be fine with a vent in a dressing room, unless he heard any among us jokes, then he would fucking snap and break someone in half.

Thankfully, none of the other captives were in sound enough mind to make Among Us jokes, which let Len search in peace. The only door in or out of the room was closed and there was an air vent pretty high up on the wall to his right. Not too high to reach with some effort, but it did look like it would be a bit of a tight squeeze.

"Oh well..." Len muttered to himself as he tried to jump over and push his way through the vents, prying them open if necessary. He did consider breaking the door open for a while, but thought it over and decided the more subtle approach was probably going to be his greatest shot, also he always wanted to sneak through the bad guy's (bad girl's in this case) vents like he was John McClane.

Len's dream quickly became less romantic. As with most air vents, it was a vast sprawling network through the massive building. But that also meant there was no reasonable way to regularly clean most of it. Len crawled through more dust than he thought was possible to exist. He tried his best to avoid sneezing, but just couldn't keep himself from it every time, occasionally kicking a thin cloud every time. He knew he could have mentally mapped things out to scout out the building, but his eyes were flooding and his sinuses were screaming.

"Ah- hwack!- great fucking idea!" He said to himself out loud, choking on dust while he pulled and dragged himself across the vents, scanning around for the first exit he could find and then he would try to pry it open and leave, unless there were 500 midara on the other side.

Len took the first exit he came across, which just happened to be a hatch he didn't know he was crawling over. He fell unceremoniously through the hatch and fell back-first onto a toilet. Luckily, the toilet was clean and the seat was down. Not luckily, it was a solidly made porcelain so it hurt a lot. His back might be in incredible pain, but at least he didn't get toilet water on him.

Shaking the damage off as best he could, Len peeked out the stall to spy a shockingly well maintained public bathroom, and by the lack of urinals, he assumed it was a women's bathroom. A bad situation all around. With the air vent in the ceiling comfortably out of reach, he now had a whole new issue to figure out.

"Oh for fuck's sake." Len complained out loud, pissed off by the fall, but it wasn't over yet, as Len had not broken any bones or disjointed anything in the fall, he quickly moved on to get his bearings, since no one was getting all over his ass right now, the fighter presumed that the bathroom was empty, and then he moved on to get to the bathroom door and peek into whatever room it led.

A peek out the door showed Len a hallway almost busy enough to refer to as bustling. In that not-quite-bustling hallway was a collection of fairly plain-looking midara. There were a few who seemed to have unorthodox aesthetics, but most appeared pretty run-of-the-mill. Scantily clad, well endowed, etc. One or two were being attended by seduced adventurers, but most were either alone or with their friends. There were a few concession stands along or built into the walls, as well as a couple security guards casually watching over the corridor. Aside from the fantastical lustiness of the scene, it was downright normal.

But Len had no time to appreciate the quaintness of the moment, who knows how often nature called for midara! Well, midara almost definitely knew. More than a few un/lucky adventurers were probably privy too, but- Listen, the point is, Len needed to do something!

Well shit.

Anyway, Len definitely could NOT stay in the bathroom... unless he stayed inside one of the stalls and then wait for 5-something hours... but he wasn't that patient (that and were is the fun in playing safe?) so the man simply decided to play it bold and try to mingle in with the seduced adventurers, who knows, maybe that reveals a hidden talent for acting inside the brawler, definitely safer and probably more rentable then punching people for a living.

So, Len placed his best dopey smile, but not too dopey as to look forced, and walked into the commotion, whether he gets it right or not, that's up to fate.

A bit of poor timing out of the bathroom meant Len appeared to be a wandering thrall. Luckily, either this was normal or the security guards didn't think it odd enough to do anything about. In any case, Len had caught a break, but the signs around the hall weren't as helpful as he'd hoped. They mostly directed guests to seating areas and bathrooms. There were a few directions for parking and restaurants, but no clear-cut "EXIT" as he had hoped.

His acting had gotten him this far and nobody seemed any the wiser, but he couldn't spend all night circling the arena.

Ah shit... Len thought to himself while keeping up the act, he definitely couldn't ask how to leave... well probably not at least, considering how he was kidnapped into this place and not asked nicely, however, most parking lots tend to be close to both entrances and exits, thus the man decided to follow those signs and see what he would find.

Before long, the directions to 'Parking' led him away from the concourse. Unfortunately, he soon found he was looking at a ticketing station where common midara were presenting their tickets to security before getting into the arena proper. It pretty quickly dawned on him that nobody who had already gotten past a security checkpoint would go back to it without a particular reason. He had to figure out his next move. To turn around and go back to the concourse to look for another destination would be easy, but he might stick out more than his acting could cover. On the other hand, some quick thinking and/or improvisation could provide him with information should he stick around the ticketing station.

Hmmm... the exit was right there, however, it was well-covered and secure, so Len sat his ass on the ground and started weighing his options. Could I make a run for it? Probably. Maybe I could trick security into thinking I was sent by a midara to get something like a makeup kit... yeah that works. Thus, with his plan assembled, Len approached the security checkpoint and made his best effort to look EXTRA submissive by lowering his head, closing his hands behind his back, and swaying from side to side, even though that look didn't fit a man of his constitution... perhaps brat would be more convincing, shit, I'm already here so I gotta stick with this one. He thought to himself, leaving whether that act would land up to the DM.

As Len approached the checkpoint, it wasn't long before one of the pacing guards took note of him and intercepted him.

"Hold on there, little guy." The guard, who wasn't really that much taller than Len, said while holding out a cautionary hand. "What are you doing over here?" In his periphery, Len noticed another guard give him a brief glance before looking back to the checkpoint. Apparently, however he looked, he didn't seem too out-of-place.
