| So, I've been checking the comic store and noticed the new(?) Superboy series has Ivy has as the first antagonist. I haven't checked the first issue, but by the second issue the titular hero is already under her spell, so that's something I should look into...
She's also one of the protagonist of the new "Gotham City Sirens" series that is running. I know she killed a few people with a kiss in it, but I don't think I've posted them yet. Again, something I should look into...
But before I look into these things I have a far more interesting task to work on. I just picked up the Arkham Asylum game and am dead set on finding out once and for all IF the developers really left out Ivy's most important ability. I know she makes a reference to it in her interview tape, but I'm looking for a visual indicator. While I'd like to see her actually kiss someone in the game, I'd settle for a little lipstick mark on a corpse or something...

| Hm hook us up with some of those comics! I hope they are non-shitty finds, but comics have been getting more mature and risque over time (all that repression and fetishism trickles out, haha).
I doubt there's anything in Arkham, though...

| I've beaten Arkham several times. She doesn't have a kiss. Always hope for the sequel! | |

| The Gotham City Sirens image is in the gallery linked above. About Arkham Asylum: I figured there's nothing, but given how packed the game is with secrets, I thought it may have been overlooked. Fun game, nonetheless. | |

| Did anyone else know that Poison Ivy is now a good guy? According to some "recently" revealed covers she's fighting alongside the Birds of Prey now. The real issue isn't out (I think) so no word on what happened to her powers. But her new look makes her seem less... seductive. In better news, another new cover reveal shows a new Batman villain that may replace Ivy. Her name's White Rabbit (I think) and while it hasn't been confirmed that pink gas just might be similar to Ivy's pheromone. The issue where she makes her debut isn't out yet (I think) but I'll be sure to post anything if it is relevant. | |

| According to this link the toxin just "alters the body of criminals." Doesn't sound similar to pheromones... plus the issue is out in November so that's a long wait to find out. | |

| Hopefully, no one else has wasted any time and/or money on this LIE! This comic pulls a fucking bait-and-switch! [Those of you who purchased the Marvel Knights Punisher 2099 one-shot should be familiar with this. That was bait-and-switch art, this is bait-and-switch story.] Snared by the White Rabbit? I WISH! but nope, didn't happen! No hypnosis...no mind control...no kisses in this issue, so AVOID! | |

As far as I can tell, it is simply because they are using the utterly deplorable sales tactic of bait-and-switch. - SwerveStar wrote:

Yes, that's true, but considering the heart shape in the background and the text on the left, I was assuming there would be AT LEAST some kind of hypnotic pheromones, a la Poison Ivy, or something like that.

| It was probably just "distracted by the appearance of the girl" or something, and the heart was something about "seeing is believing".
And I guess I'd check out a story about that.
