Description: Nobody's sure where Midara Magazine came from. A midara's vanity project that got out of hand? Enterprising humans trying to make a profit of the public's fascination with these creatures? Regardless, it's officially banned everywhere, yet everyone knows a guy who sells the illicit and explicit monthly. The magazine is full of racy stories, interviews and photoshoots with midara, but only one of them gets the coveted title of Centerfold. Through an elusive scoring system of beauty, power and victim count, the winner of the contest is awarded extra attention in the magazine, which nearly always leads to a spike in both suitors and adventurers after her. Rumour has it that authorities turn a blind eye towards the outlet, as it gives a candid insight into the wheelings and dealings of the race they can't get anywhere else. Should an adventurer stumble upon a Centerfold, caution is advised: they are a level above regular midara.
Abilities:
Should an adventurer stumble upon a Centerfold, she will always be wearing on the outfits from her shoots (described below). The DM decides which one she starts out in, or else rolls a 1d4: 1=Cosplay Shoot, 2=Glamour Shoot, 3=Lingerie Shoot, 4=Bikini Shoot. If she wants to change outfits, she uses Wardrobe Ward to get changed, unless the Wardrobe is destroyed, in which case she cannot switch outfits. Every outfit gives her another set of skills, but she can always use Make Upper Hand and Flash Photography, plus her Finisher.
Cosplay Shoot-
The midara has a themed outfit on, curiously always a sexy parody of one of the adventurer's outfits. It bestows the following abilities:
Skill Steal-The midara copies a single skill out of the abilities of the adventurer she's imitating. It can be a sexy reimagining of the ability, and can't be too overpowered (DMs, use your imagination!). All perks and downsides of the ability apply.
Heroine's Second Wind (passive)-If the midara has 1 or less Stamina left and she dodges an attack succesfully while wearing this outfit, she recovers 1 Stamina.
Glamour Shoot-
The midara has a classy dress on, and has her hair done up, giving her a regal appearance. It bestows the following abilities:
Refined Request-The midara approaches the adventurer and attempts to charm him into taking a certain action. If succesful, he takes 1 Willpower damage and wastes his next turn following the Centerfold's command. Can be used once every two turns.
You Wouldn't Hurt A Lady (passive)-If an adventurer does Stamina damage and sees the midara in pain, he must make an additional roll. If he fails, his next attack will do 0.5 less Stamina damage.
Lingerie Shoot-
The midara has kinky lingerie on, signalling that she's redy for a roll in the hay. It bestows the following abilities:
Foreplay Forewarning-The midara blows kisses and makes suggestive gestures, showing the adventurers exactly what they're in for. Her next Willpower attack does double damage, but only if it hits: otherwise, the effect is lost.
Wardrobe Malfunction (passive)-If the midara takes more than 3 Stamina damage while wearing the outfit, it's destroyed. She skips a turn in anger at the loss of her expensive lingerie, but afterwards does 0.5 more Willpower damage with her attacks until she changes outfits again. She can go into the Wardrobe for a new set of lingerie too, resetting the effect.
Bikini Shoot-
The midara puts on beachwear, and the environment changes temperature to suit her new outfit. It bestows the following abilities:
Splashing Around-The water's perfect, as the Centerfold conjures a stream to splash across her, making her body glitter majestically, cleansing her of any Debuffs and doing 1 Willpower damage to all party members who fail their roll.
Scorching Heat (passive)-The scorching sun of a hot day at the waterside is great for a tan, but does make you lazy. All abilities with a recovery time take an extra turn to get ready while the midara is wearing this outfit.
Wardrobe Ward: The Centerfold whistles, and disappears into a giant wardrobe made of sapient pearwood she has conjured. She takes a turn to change, and during that time, she's impervious to all damage (debuffs on her still take effect, up to DM discretion). The Wardrobe itself can still be attacked, though it will try to dodge on its stubby little paws. The Wardrobe has (4 x the number of party members) Stamina and is immune to Debuffs. Its magical protection caps any damage done to it in a single attack at 2. At the end of the turn, the Wardrobe disappears and the midara steps out in a new outfit. If the Wardrobe is destroyed, the Centerfold falls out in her old outfit, taking 1 unavoidable Stamina damage.
Make Upper Hand: The Centerfold calls for make-up, and a series of disembodied hands powder, perfume and generally pamper her. The midara will do 0.5 more Willpower damage on attacks for 1+1d4/2 turns (rounded down).
Flash Photography: The Centerfold poses and whistles and flashes her unmentionables at the entire party. At the moment the adventurers are stunned by her bold acts, a series of disembodied hands snap pictures, blinding the party with the camera flashes. Does 1 Willpower damage to any adventurer that fails their roll, and gives the disadvantage on their next attack (take the worst of two rolls).
Fan's Memento (Finisher): The Centerfold sees the adventurer's completely charmed, and performs a slow striptease, or dance, for her biggest fan. Once she's done so, she lures the adventurer into her Wardrobe, or the bushes if it's been destroyed. She undresses him while bestowing kiss after kiss, before requesting him to show her some loving. They bone, and the adventurer climaxes into unconsciousness. Once he'll wake up, he'll be left with a signed copy of the current edition of Midara Magazine, and be so smitten with the Centerfold that the pages will be sticky before soon.
