Victus v. Nimea

Passive(s):
Fighting Style: Having trained in many different forms of combat, Victus is prepared for any type of fight. During a fight, Victus may, at the start of his turn, activate one of his fighting styles, each with differing effects. See "Fighting Styles" below for details. If Victus does not activate a fighting style, he is to be considered as being in Default Style. If his fighting style is boosted, the boost remains in effect for the turn it is activate, and one turn after that, before reverting back to the standard version of the style.

One Unit: Victus is a teamplayer. When fighting alongside people he's fought with for a long time, his Fighting Style is always considered boosted. When using Charging Strike, he may combine two boosted styles, rather than just boosting one. One Unit is currently active with the following characters:

Basic Attacks:

Sword Slash:
"Sometimes the simplest attacks are the best."
Deals 2 stamina damage to target.

Punch:
"You can't be disarmed if your fists are your weapons."
Deals 1 stamina damage to target.

Special Moves:

Cleaving Swing:
"Outnumbered? I prefer the term 'target rich environment'."
Deals 2 stamina damage to target. If it hits, repeat this attack on a new target within range. This may not target the same enemy twice in one turn. Usable once every 3 turns.

Heavy Blow:
"When you have a massive sword, everything looks like a nail."
Deals 4 stamina damage and floors the target. Usable once every 4 turns.

Charging Strike:
"Who needs a ranged weapon? I have legs!"
Deals 2 stamina damage to target. Boosts the Fighting Style. Usable every 3 turns.

Fighting Styles

Default Style:
"Starting with the basics."
Nothing gained, nothing lost.
Boost: Attack deals +1 damage. No downside.

Aggressive Style:
"Going all out has it's risks, but sometimes the best defence is a good offence."
Victus's attacks deal +1 damage. Enemies hit on 71 or above (crits must still be even).
Boost: Victus's attacks deal double damage. Enemies have advantage on attacks targetting Victus.

Defensive Style:
"You can't lose if they can't hit you."
Victus's attacks deal -1 damage. Enemies miss on 30 or less (crits must still be odd).
Boost: Victus's attacks deal normal damage. Enemies have disadvantage on attacks targetting Victus.

Focused Style:
"It's better to hit your enemy with a weak attack than to miss them with a strong one."
Victus's attacks hit on 71 or above. Victus takes +1 damage from attacks.
Boost: Victus's attacks are made at advantage. Victus takes +1 damage from attacks.

Meditative Style:
"Remove yourself from the fight, and you will feel no pain, and can resist temptation."
Victus's attacks are made at disadvantage. Victus takes -1 damage from attacks.
Boost: Victus's attacks are made at disadvantage. Victus takes -2 damage from attacks.

///Nimea

Passive - Corruption: Once corruption stacks reach 10, the target becomes corrupted, and must fight for the other side. Whilst corrupted, target will take double damage from any source. Corruption stacks cannot be removed easily, and it is nigh impossible to remove them during combat. Exceptions to this are at GM discretion.

Passive: Whispers of the Waters - All throughout the fight, the corrupted spirits of the lake will urge the heroes to come closer and submerge in the waters of the lake. Every success forces the heroes closer to the lake, soon opening up to a special attack when they're close enough.

Promise of Fantasy - Nimea evaporates and reforms behind the target and begins to deliver pleasurable suggestions in a hushed, sultry tone. 2 Willpower damage.

Double Droplet - Nimea dips into the lake, fully submerging herself before emerging with a double. The Double has her own actions while she's active and can utilize the same moves as Nimea. Each Double has Five Stamina points.

Dream Come True - If successful, Nimea changes form to best suit the target's tastes, upping her willpower attacks by two points of damage for that particular member of the party.

Ultimate Paradise - Requires one or more Droplet Doubles. Every Double present closes in on the target and holds them down, rubbing their naked bodies against him and laying kiss upon kiss against his bare skin. Nimea is the last to close in and starts making out with the target, slipping her tongue in and doing continual Willpower damage until they can break free. All Double destroyed when the target manages to free themself. 5 Willpower damage for the activation. 2 Willpower damage for consecutive bind damage.

Corrupt Kiss - Nimea's body darkens and her lips turn black as she beckons the target to her. Once they're close, she brings them in and presses her soft lips against theirs, corruption making its way into her victim. 3 Willpower damage + 1 Corruption.

Tantalizing Song - Nimea takes a curt bow to the party before proceeding to sing an ambient tune, a dark presence in the air as the party hears each note. 3 Willpower damage + 1 Corruption

Drowning Darkness - Her Ultimate move. Automatically activates once the victim has gotten too close to the Dark Lake. Nimea draws the victim's attention to the dark waters of the lake, the target utterly entranced by it's calm surface. She soon dips into the waters and extends a hand to the target, who takes it thoughtlessly, allowing her to pull them in and hold them against her body under the depths of the water. Regardless of how many or how few Corruption stacks the victim has, once they become fully submerged in the lake, their minds and bodies become utterly flooded with Corruption and fall under the whims of Nimea.

With Jane taking a small skirmish away to deal with some flower garden, and Kathrynne doing 'special training' with Ix, Victus decided that he needed to be doing something to help out at the Sanctuary too. Apparently, during the confusion of Gwen's escape, Ferro had disappeared off. Initially, Victus has planned to wait until the group came together, and take down the threat together but, after his training session with Yumi, he was still itching for a fight. And this time, he wanted to play for keeps. If he could just bring back Ferro, that would be enough.

Victus had a feeling that, at one point or another, Kathrynne had mentioned Nimea to him. It was during his fuzzy mind period, so it wasn't entirely clear, but he seemed to remember that she was described as being very dangerous; that she lived by, or was it in, a lake; and that she'd seemed to want to stay away from her, and especially keep himself and Jane away from her. Perhaps it was arrogance or pride, or perhaps it was bravery, but Victus was not one to shy away from a challenge. That said, he had no intention of fighting her alone. If he saw an opportunity to escape with Ferro, he'd take it. Otherwise, well, running away was always an option. It's not like she could hold him down, or anything, right?

He made his way in the direction he'd seen Gwen, Ferro and Robin fleeing, and kept his eyes peeled for a lake.

Nimea had just recently taken Geno's Star Spirit and corrupted and claimed it as her own, heightening her power, unbeknownst to the heroes, and was inside the lake to allow her body to fully adjust to its immense power. It would take some time, but she was confident she'd be too strong to defeat when the heroes come to confront her.

As Victus reached the lake, he began to look around, looking for some clue that this was, indeed, the correct lake. He drew his sword, wary of any danger that may be coming his way.

"Ferro? Robin? Spring Rose?" He called out, scanning the treeline for any movement.

She smiled as she dipped her head just barely out of the lake to watch him. "Well, another new face. You lot seem to be coming out of the woodworks~"

Victus was beginning to doubt this was the correct lake. It seemed like no-one else was around. He let out a sigh. Finding this one had been difficult enough. He hadn't realised the Sanctuary was this BIG. He figured it was time to move on...

Or at least, he thought it was, before something stood out in the corner of his eye. He turned to face the lake to get a better look.
"Is someone there?" He asked, whilst turning to get a better look.
