Name: Tanaka.
Age: 100.
Appearance
A Red Oni warrior, turned blacksmith. Weapons, tools. You name it, odds are he's crafted it. Wanderlust struck him at one point, however, and now he wanders, with pipe and custom made swords in hand. Why he travels, not many know. Some say it's to test his blade. Some say it's to see the world, or learn new smithing techniques. Anyone asking Tanaka tends to get a snort, and a dismissive wave.
Passive
Flames of War-Available only when his health is reduced to 1/3. Soaking his blades in alcohol, Tanaka strikes them together, the spark lighting them aflame. Attacks gain an extra point of damage, and inflict Oni's Touch. (Havent decided on what Oni's Touch will do.)
Sword in the Sheath-Iaido. Kendo. Two sides of the same coin. Tanaka starts the battle in
Sheathed mode. When
Sheathed, Tanaka is able to perform a move from the Iaido Path,
Unsheathing his blade in response.
Unsheathed allows access to Kendo Path. Cannot be sheathed for 3 turns unless landing a Crit with a Kendo attack.
-Paths-
Path of Iaijutsu.Quick Draw- Drawing his blades quickly, the enemy doesn't realize they are struck until he sheathes his blade. 3 damage.
Myriad Slash- One slash becomes many. 2 damage.
TwoFold Counter- If successful, Tanaka catches an attack with one of his blades, before slamming the second one into the enemy's gut. 2 damage.
Blinding Revelation- Reflecting light off his blade into the enemy's eyes, the enemy's next attack is made with disadvantage.
Path of the Dual Blade.Tiger Blade- A strong swing with both blades, all Tanaka’s strength put into this attack. 3 damage.
Raging Tempest- A spinning attack. A whirling dervish of destruction. 2 damage.
Path of KendoThree-Pronged Strike- A basic of Kendo. Hitting the head, chest, and then the wrist. 3 rolls. 1 Damage for each success.
Full Moon Flourish- Slowly moving his blade in a circle, an outline of a moon encircles his opponent, before he slices it in quarters, and the poor soul with it.
Infernal Bloodlust- A path awakened when Tanaka hits a third of his health, the ferocity of battle bringing back old memories, and allowing the Oni to truly relish the sensation of combat.
Crimson Assault-Using his immense strength, Tanaka swings his blades like a man possessed, raining blow after blow until his enemy can somehow escape. Keep using this attack until it misses.
Cleansing Flames: Stabbing his blades into the ground, plumes of fire erupt, engulfing the poor enemy and burning away any protection they may hide behind. Burns away a random buff, inflicts Burn if no buffs on enemy.
Open Hand, Closed Fist
BackBreaker With a mighty roar, Tanaka forgoes the blade and decides to grapple with his foe. Takes 2 turns to prepare. The first roll, if successful, has Tanaka grip his opponent tightly, inflicting 2 damage and Binding the foe. If they fail to break free, Tanaka tightens the hug until a resounding snap can be heard, causing 2 extra damage.
Guaranteed crit.
Vermillion Lariat Spinning around like a crazed top, fists outstretched, Tanaka begins pummeling his opponent mercilessly. 3 damage, leaves Tanaka dizzy afterward(Next attack gives disadvantage.)
One-Inch Punch. A simple attack, though looks are often deceiving. With a grunt, the wizened Oni delivers a one-inch punch, sending his foe skidding backwards. 2 damage.
