| Sai found himself in the town square of Murmur City. The rumors that the city was tolerant to midara was true. There were advertisements for midara-made products all over the stalls of the market. The reason for this attitude was clearly their presence in the nearby Echo Forest... He had a choice to either prepare with supplies, or head inside with all his current money, which was 500g. | |

| He finds a rather busy general store, and heads in. After finding his way through the crowd, he finds the section that sells adventuring supplies. - Murmur General Store:
200g - Echo Flask : A potion made from echo herbs, a plan found exclusively in this forest. It revitalizes the body and spirit. Regain 4WP without rolling when consumed. Single use. Limit of two per client, that stuff sells like hotcakes and echo herbs grow slowly.
100g - Elixir of Fortune : Made from Hare Fur ("taken with permission, or your money back", according to the label), this potion... Well, you're fairly sure it does nothing but taste like hair, actually... Still, the placebo effect will keep your head in the game and give you advantage on your next roll. Single use.
50g - Lemon juice : It takes a special kind of person to just drink pure lemon juice. Well, that stuff is so sour it'll probably break you out of a Charm. No pain, no gain, right ? One use.
400g - Amulet : An adventurer classic, in lands with regular monsters, these were lifesavers that could break all minor curses, cure poisons, and extinguish flames. Here ? It'll break you out of a bind automatically and help with your status effects... But it wasn't really designed with midara battles in mind, so it'll break after one bind, or three status effects cleared.
500g - Adorable Doll Loan : That thing is so cute ! When exposed to the magic of a Midara, the doll will gain temporary life into a young person of unclear gender wearing victorian clothes, possessing 5WP/ST and a basic attack, on your side. It'll act as a companion for the remainder of your trip in the forest, the loan expiring on your return to town. Only one loaned per client.
500g - Energy Crystal : You enter the forest with four energy instead of three. Very popular with people who aren't exactly planning to win, or the occasional cautious adventurer.

Supplies acquired ! 100g remaining.
All that was left to do was to enter the forest, now. | |

As he enters the forest, Sai notices something in the bushes. From a closer inspection, it seems to be an old sign warning whoever reads it of the local midara territories. The information also allows him to map a path, allowing him to head deeper.

In a small clearing, two sheep midara were napping against eachother. One of them opened her eyes, and spotted him, before gently shaking her friend's shoulder.
"...Hello there... Seems like you walked a lot..." The first sheep approached him, followed closely by the second "...You must be tired... Come... Nap with us..." Their voices were quiet, yet calmly enticing... And it didn't sound like they'd be content with a 'no'. "...Nap at our feet..."

His attempt to summon his weapon went awry, the blade of flame was too intense and burned his hand, breaking his concentration and vanishing. It did keep the sheep at bay, however, as they took a step back to avoid the flames.

The ominous chains wrap around the first sheep, chaining her to a nearby tree, and the tired looking midara begins to look even more sleepy than usual as her energy is transfered to Sai. The second sheep took advantage of his focus on the first one to sneak up behind him, pulling him into a strong kiss that left him very, very tired...

"...Shh... Just res--" Her attempt at shushing him was met with a burst of flames. She took a few steps back, but didn't seem to be in pain, despite the flames clearly having an effect.
Meanwhile, the first ship still fought back in vain against the chains, as more of her energy cured Sai.

These flames are more intense than the previous burst, and actually get a small yelp out of the sheep. "...Ow... Fine... My saliva and wool... Are soporific... It gives nice dreams and restful sleep..." In the meantime, the first sheep grunts with exertion, and shatters the magical chains in an uncommon display of energy.

The sheep's eyes widen at the burst of blue flames, before it completely engulfs her. By the time it fades to embers, the sheep was out cold on the floor, still breathing but clearly not having a good time.
Before he had any time to celebrate, however, Sai was suddenly hugged from behind, and his eyelids close as the first sheep begins to pet his head...
The second sheep is too hurt to continue fighting.

Sai manages to bring a small part of himself awake, but the rest of him is still deeply slumbering. Not helping his attempts at waking up, a comforting warmth envelops him as the sheep cuddles with his sleeping body, her wool acting as a cozy blanket.
