Lily Vs. Ahri

“I am, my goddess,” Lily answered, “Please allow me some time to comprehend what I remember.”

"Take your time." Her goddess answered. Waiting politely.

“Okay, so...” Lily said after a while, explaining her dream. “Then, after I woke up, l seemed to gain some of its memories, but I don’t fully understand them or how to explain them precisely, but I can tell you it is a phoenix inside me and its anger appears to come from the memory of its I have. I can try explaining the memory, my goddess, if you want me to.”

"Please do." Her goddess asked, fascinated by the whole affair. The word phoenix wasn't ringing any bells for her but it was still good to have a name for it.

“It is in a volcanic area, and it is trapped in a cage. There are three, what I assume are, magic circles, one underneath its cage, another one of the size same by its side, this one with a baby in it, and a third, larger one containing both the others,” Lily says, “There are cloaked people all around the edge of the larger circle and more outside of it, with one looking similar to my master. Some of figures were talking, but it couldn’t hear everything, only catching certain phrases like ‘immortal weapon,” and ‘progress of the others”. Then the memory stops.”

"A human baby or a phoenix baby?" The fox woman asked. Already having a pretty good idea of what happened but wanting to be certain she understood.

“Human, my goddess, so I’m guessing it is me,” Lily answers.

"That was my assumption as well." Ahri told her. "It seems the obvious conclusion to come to here is that your master trapped the phoenix inside of you in the hopes of harnessing it's power." It would not be the first time Ahri has seen such a plot. "But then how come she never taught you to utilize it?"

“What exactly is a phoenix, my goddess?” Lily asked, “Does it relate to immortality in any way?”

"I'm not sure. I'll have to check my books." Her goddess answered. "But it seems that now the two of you have a common grievance." She added, this was how these things usually ended, with the living weapon and the sealed creature used to create it both turning on their masters.

“So, what now, my goddess?” Lily asked, “Should I keep trying to come to an understanding with it, and how would I go about doing that?”

"Yes. Although how is a trucker question. You'll presumably need to offer it something in exchange for it's power. Much like I offer you unlimited access to my fluffy tails." Ahri teased, tickling Lily under the nose with one of her many tails. "But I don't know what you could offer it besides revenge."

“R-revenge? O-on who, my master?” Lily stammered, “My goddess, even though she didn’t treat me right and seemed to have some role in this, I cannot take revenge on my master.”

"Then perhaps you can offer it something else." The fox woman said with a shrug. "But don't be surprised if its unwilling to accept anything else."

“I’ll try to bargain with it, my goddess,” Lily replied, “So what do you have planned for us today?”

Ahri was kind of at a loss as to what to do now besides sticking to their usual routine. "Well you can continue practicing the basic magical techniques I've taught you. But if you're feeling ready for it we could try something more complicated. Alternatively we can take it easy for today." Her goddess suggested, the last option accompanied by a suggestive wiggle of her eyebrows.

“I want to try something more complicated,” Lily answered, “B-but I won’t complain if you wanted me to take it easy for a day.”

"I'm sure we'll find time for both." Ahri replied with a dismissive wave of her hand. "Unfortunately while I can guide you your going to have to figure out a lot of this for yourself. As I have no real experience with fire magic." She explained, looking a little embarrassed to admit to such a failing.

“If I may ask, what were those blue flames you used when I tried to fight you if not fire magic, my goddess?” Lily asked.

"These aren't true flames." The fox woman explained as she summoned a mote of blue flames and held it out to Lily. "It's coalesced and flowing charm magic. Note how it produces no heat. I couldn't start a fire with these even if I wanted to." As the fire hovered near Lily she could feel that it gave off no heat, but it did slowly fill her body with the growing heat of arousal.

“O-oh, thank you for informing me, my goddess,” Lily responded.

Ahri withdrew the blue flame. "So the first and most important question is what do you want to do with this power?" She asked.

“What I want to do with this?” Lily answered, “I-I haven’t really thought about that. I guess I just want to use it to be a better subordinate to you, my goddess.”

The fox woman gave her an approving smile. "Well you're already doing a great job as both servant and body guard." She chuckled. "Do you take pride in your fighting skills?"

“Thank you, my goddess, and yes, I do,” Lily replied.
