Sieq and Elvina visit New Donk City

Elvina rubbed her head as she giggled "Sieq got some nice fun time between her breasts but he won in the end. Anywhere you can see for a safe place to rest?"

"Yeah. There's a bench just over there that's somehow untouched by all the mess." Dit T. said as he used his flag to point over at said bench. The bench was indeed remarkably clean compared to the mess that was the rest of the harbor.


The group here able to rest on bench for a while and recover some of their strength.

"Whew... well, Dit T. We scored ourselves a hundred coins from taking down that squid. So, no need to worry about the parlor emptying our purse, at least as long as we're smart about it. Do you wanna join us when we go inside, Dit T.?" Sieq asked the tour guide once he caught his breath, cleared his head (save for a very faint mental image of Gooper Blooper's cleavage), and cleaned off the ink.

Elvina sighed and relaxed on the bench, letting sieq have a moment to talk to Dit while she rested her body finally

"Nah. I'm good." Dit T. replied. "I am still technically on the clock, after all. Don't want people thinking I'm slacking on the job. You know?"

"That's fine, then. Speaking of the job, you're doing great at it. Even if women on clouds want you a lot." Sieq told Dit T. with a smirk.

Elvina nodded "You've been great guide for us! I'm positive we would've been lost 10 times over without you" She said with a giggle before looking around "Welp, i'm ready when you are sieq to go have fun!"

"I'm ready, too. Maybe we can splurge on a bit more than that 50 coin membership, too. Gotta thank that pirate for letting us make such a profit off her." Sieq chuckled as he stood up and waved at Elvina for her to follow.

The trio made it out of the harbor but were then stopped by the sight of a panicking short man. "Oh, man! This is bad! This is bad! This is bad!"  he shouted as he ran in circles.

Sieq stopped to check on the panicking citizen. "Hey, hey, hey.... are you okay? What's so bad it has you going crazy?" He asked him, wondering if there was any way he could help out.

Elvina hummed before walking next to Sieq and smiling to the toad "It's okay, whatever it is im sure me and my friends can help you sir"

"The ring! The ring I was going to propose to my girlfriend with is gone!" the man said as he grabbed Sieq by the shirt and started shaking him. "You've got to help me!"

Oh, jeez, that was a big problem. "Okay, okay, we might be able to help. Do you got any idea where we can look? Neither of us are exactly metal detectors but maybe we can find something." Sieq asked, trying to remain calm so that'd rub off on the man in distress.

Elvina smiled softer as she looked at the toad "Aww don't worry we will help! What did it look like and i'll look for it, and worst case maybe we can help you buy a new one. How much did it cost?"

"I-IT was a silver band with a ruby mushroom on it. I spent a hundred gold on it!" The man explained. " As for where... I couldn't find it after this one lady bumped into me around here."

Elvina groaned instantly, having a good feeling she knew who it was "Lemme guess, our favorite thief is back... Let's get to searching" She said as she stretched a little before moving around to start searching for both the thief and the ring

"It sounds like you got pickpocketed. We'll get it back for you if you can tell us where the thief went." Sieq told the innocent victim of the theft. Determined to bring justice to him and the criminal.

"Uh, Uh..." the short man mumbled something as he replayed the events in his head. "She went that way!" he eventually said as he pointed at an alleyway.

Looking at where he indicated, the pair could see signs of someone passing through in a hurry, but the actual thief was already gone.

"You stay here, and we'll see if we can't find her." Sieq said, and the thief might have been gone, but she couldn't have gone far. Especially if she didn't know she had a tail. If they could pick up her trail somehow, they'd find her in no time.

Elvina nodded as she moved to the alleyway, looking for any clues on where the thief may have gone. She didn't want to let someone's big chance be ruined by a greedy thief

The duo ran to the otherside of the alley to try and find which way she went. Sieq managed to spot a small trail of garbage, which must have stuck to the thief's clothes from her hurried escape. It wasn't much, but it pointed the pair in the right direction and the spotted a familiar figure just before she turned a corner.

Elvina looked over at sieq upset she couldn't find anything herself before noticing the garbage her friend had found. Excitement filling her as she realized he found a trail "Nice find Sieq! Let's follow it!" She said as she hurried after the trail

"We're right on her, she won't get away!" Sieq shouted as he ran full-tilt after the thief, hell-bent on catching up to the criminal and retrieving the precious ring.

Thankfully the theif had thought she had already lost any pursuers and slowed down. Allowing Sieq and Elvina to catch up with her without her noticing.
