Brin went to raise his shield only for ir to fall out of his hand. At that moment, the woman took a step forward. Her shoe hit the shield with a clang and sent it crashing into his shin.

Both fighters took a step back and winced at their unexpected pain.

Brin took a step back, rubbing his injured shin. 'Ouch.' He mumbled. He shook it off and put up his shield to counter her next attack instead.

Her commanding tone forced Brin to obey without question. He dropped to his knees and hurriedly began to kiss her shoe.
