Test vs The Bewitching Bandit

Test was walking down a narrow road in the woods. This was the second day of his 4 day hiking trip and what a trip it had been. Beautiful vistas, high hills and not another person or horrible creature in sight. He was having a good relaxing time. Little did he know he was walking head first into Midara hunting grounds.

Sights like this are why he has started traveling. Beautiful, varied terrain in all directions, so unlike the snowy forests of home. He was so busy taking in the view that he wasn't fully paying attention to his more immediate surroundings.

Eyes watched Test from a nearby bush before disappearing into the undergrowth. Test continued to walk through the woods and a slight shiver went down his spine. He felt a presence in the area but not quite what it was.

The adventurer stopped as he felt the presence before slowly reaching for his halberd. Perhaps an animal was watching him? Either way he couldn't help but feel that something was amiss.

Nothing stirred and all he could hear was birds in the canopy above. Everything seemed peaceful. Eyes continued to watch test from behind a tree. It was as if he was being eyed up.

Test let his guard drop just a little. Perhaps it was nothing dangerous after all? He kept an eye out for the source of the sensation as he continued his hike.

All of a sudden a wolf emerged from the under growth behind test. He turned to face it just as another appeared behind him again. He was surrounded.

Well this was bad. But Test knew how to deal with wolves. He'd had to defend himself against a few in his time. He widened his stance and readied his halberd for the inevitable pounce.

River Stance

The wolves pounced on Test but he was ready for it. He dodged one cutting it with his sword before landing an uppercut on the other. The wolves didn't even have a chance and retreated a few steps whimpering.

Test used the opportunity to advance and lay into one of the wild canines with his halberd. Hoping that if he hit it a few times they'd both get scared and run away.

Triple Strike

Test was able to land 1 strike on a wolf before accidentally falling over. The attacked wolf gives him a quick bite before the other grabs ahold of his leg and starts biting.

Test grit his teeth and silently thanked whatever forge blessed craftsman had made his hardy traveling leathers. If they weren't so thick he might just have risked losing a leg to that bite. He tried to pry the wolf's mouth open and push it into it's side before going for a brutal downward swing.

Test's leg continued to be bitten by the wolf, but then he heard a short bark from the other wolf. A cloaked figure was walking towards the battle scene. The other wolf jumped to attack the figure but missed as they dodged. The wolf released test's leg and started to growl. The figure drew a short dagger and did a quick stab on the wolf that had jumped at them. The wolf whimpered and limped.

Test was relieved to no longer be outnumbered. Test took a swing at the wolf closest to him.

Old Reliable

The wolf closest to Test turns and growls. His only response was to accidentally slip in mud. The wolf bites his arm before flying off and whimpering. The mysterious figure was beating the animal into submission with quick and precice movements. Once the attacks stopped the wolf quickly fled.

Test pulled himself to his feet backed away from the remaining wolf. "Thank you." He said to the stranger as he tried to quickly dress his wound.

A Moment of Respite

Test once again slipped in mud as he tried to heal himself. His day wasn't going well. The remaining wolf jumped at the figure tearing their cape slightly and biting them. They responded by kicking the wolf and slashing it with a knife.

(Just a heads up. Burst Forth and A Moment of Respite are both supposed to be auto successes. Sorry if that's not clear on the character profile.)

Test let out a groan as he hit the mud. Trying to slash at the wolf without slipping any further into the muck.

Overwhelm

Test springs forward with his halberd and lands a direct hit on the wolf. The animal collapses legs splayed out.
Victory
'Well done' said the mysterious figure revealing a female voice 'I have my camp 100 metres east from here. Would you like to come and rest up? You seem hungry' the figure offered their hand to Test in a non-threatening way.

"Yes please. I'd really appreciate that. Thank you." Test said, taking her hand. He'd taken a couple bites and could use a safe spot to sit down and patch himself up.

The figure lead him to their camp and promped him to sit down. They lit a fire and lowered their hood revealing beautiful locks of red hair and big plp lips. "What are you looking at? Never seen a woman before? She laughed at him. She then started cooking some meat on the open fire, watching him subtlety through her black false eyelashes.

Test tried not to roll his eyes at her teasing. She'd really helped him out, the least he could do was be polite. "I can't thank you enough." He said, grabbing some bandages and ointment from his pack and beginning to apply them to his bite wounds. They weren't serious but a bit of stinging ointment now was better than an infection later.

"don't mention it, it's ok" she said pouring some liquid into a cup before handing it to him. "Here have some tea. It's freshly brewed" she stood back and made a seductive pose.

Between the teasing and the posing Test was beginning to suspect that his rescuer was a midara. He didn't want to hold that against her, but it would probably be best to keep his guard up. Once he finished applying the bandages he took a sip of the tea and tried to relax.

The mysterious woman intently watches Test as he drank the tea. "So whats your name, young man?" She purred. She seductively near the fire and just glowed with charm, almost hypnotically.
