Open RPG-Quest: Pervy Preacher

Jacks single focus swaps to the acolyte attempting to flee, charging he attempts to cut the acolyte down before she can do anything more, slashing deep at her gut.

The acolyte is pushed back by the crowd, and Jack prepares to finish the job!

With the last of her strength, the acolyte stands up again, mechanically sloughing towards Logan.

Logan presses an arrow into his thigh, the sharp pain helping him focus.
The angel sees he has an arrow and carefully makes some distance between herself and Logan.
Logan aims his bow at the creature that just made him feel so wonderful...
Logan's Aim: 4+(roll 3)+(equipment 3)=10
Angel's Reflex: 5+(roll 4)=9
Succes! The angel is hit by the arrow!
Logan's Power: 3+(equipement 1)-(Soothing Hug penalty 2)=4
Angel's Toughness: 4
Failure! It sticks in her scandalous robe, but doesn't seem to have pierced skin! The cute hug made Logan hesitate to use full force!

The angel stays aloft, unfortunately.

Suddenly the acolyte falls over in the arms of Logan.
"Please..." she begs, "if you have any mercy in your heart, protect me from that brute!"
She must mean Jack.

Succes! Logan can't bring himself to let any more hurt come to the wounded damsel!

Charming Voice-action-
A basic Sensuality attack. If the Aim roll is a 6, the user may decide on the target's next action.
Logan listen to her request, and now stands in the way of the rampaging Jack, bow at the ready!

Somehow, the angel hasn't noticed that Logan is now under the acolyte's spell, and once again uses her charms on the addled adventurer.

Succes! While Logan is focused on Jack, the angel comes in from behind, grabs his chin and turns his head. She stares deep into his eyes and then wordlessly gives him a deep kiss.

A pink glow appears in Logan's eyes as the midara has him completely charmed. His weapons drop out of his hand as the angel beams into his face. "My companion is awfully wounded, my pet. I only know protective magic, not healing magic, so can you please be a dear and go find the nearest healer?" Logan eagerly nods to his enchantress and barges through the crowd, away from the battlefield. The angel then goes to check upon her comrade.

The romantic veil slowly fades away! The Field Effect is gone!

Jack sees his ally get mentally toyed with, Jack however keeps his head clear even when he wishes it was him on the receiving end of that kiss, still though he looks to finish the acolyte and goes to punge the sword through her heart.

Jack has only one shot, so he readies a desperate thrust on the acolyte!

Succes! The blade pierces the acolyte's body! Blood sprays around!
Jack's Power: 5+(equipment 1)=6
Acolyte's Toughness: 2

The Acolyte loses consciousness and slumps over, while the angel screams "Nooooo!!!!!". In a rush of adrenaline, she bats Jack away, takes the Acolyte in a princess hold and beats her wings with more power than she has ever done, lifting herself and the acolyte above the village and away to the south.

Jack sits down. The crowd begins applauding in an uproar, lifting Jack above their shoulders. On their way to the pastor's house, they meet a confused Logan with a first-aid kit. With the angel having left, it seems the charm wore off. They are both lauded as heroes, and though Logan is somewhat shamed for having succumbed to the angel, Jack ensures him he would probably have lost without his help. The pastor gives them their coins and a bottle of holy water each, but reserves an ankh for Jack for his unyielding willpower in the face of temptation. The heroes stay for a night of celebration before returning to the central village in the region.

Quest restart!

After putting up Alice in a tavern and making sure the owner keeps an eye on her, Erik hunts for any job matching his skills, and stumbles upon a call by the church for hands to help track down odd women going around preaching falsehoods about the midara to simple folk who might believe their lies. Angered by this, Erik responds to the query and calculates where she is likely to go, given her last known location.

Upon arriving in the village where she is likely to preach next, he sees a town crier yelling about a speech that's going to be given at the square in half an hour. She spots Erik trudging towards her with a frown on his face, and whines: "Not again! I had to rest in the healing springs for 5 days last time I encountered one of you lot! I won't go so easy on adventurers this time!"

The user mumbles a prayer, calling for assistance in battle. A new opponent will arrive in a number of rounds, which is 3+the roll of a dice. This action can only be used once per battle.
Charming Voice-action-
A basic Sensuality attack. If the Aim roll is a 6, the user may decide on the target's next action.
Barrier-action-4 Willpower
Buff. Blocks completely against one single attack once then breaks, lasts 2 rounds. If the user attempts to recast the spell within 3 turns after it's been broken, the user must succeed at a dice roll on 5 or higher.
Thrall-action-costs 4 Willpower
Summons a lovesick minion to act as a fighter/meatshield. He has 4 Stamina, 3 Power, 3 Toughness, 2 Aim and 0 Reflex. The mind control on the minion lasts (dice roll-2) rounds, or until he gets defeated. The minion will jump in the way of all the attacks that target the temptress, unless an ability says otherwise. If a minion is slain or recovers, the temptress must make a dice roll and score 5 or higher for the action to be succesful again.

"After being beating so badly last time, I won't take any risks. Oh angel from on high, come to thy servant in need!" the preacher mutters, clasping her hands.

So soft. Erik can't help but bring a hand to his lips in remembrance of her touch. He shakes his head to try and clear his thoughts before lashing out with another swing at the preacher.

"I could use some protection!" the midara thinks out loud!

A vague light now surrounds the opponent!

Erik looks quizzically at the spell.

Unsure of what to do, Erik hesitates for a moment before taking an experimental swing at the barrier.

It breaks and shatters! Barrier Buff absorbs the attack!

The midara bats her eyelashes at Erik: "So violent...wouldn't you rather make love than war?"

Failure! Erik knows how the midara work their magic, and avoids her gaze.

Failure! The Acolyte is quick on her feet and steps aside.

"Silly boy, it's not like you have a choice." She pulls her robes apart, revealing her ample cleavage more.

Erik ignores her seductive tone and takes up a fighting pose again.

"My, my clothes are utterly ruined, perhaps I should take them off?" the midara hints.
"Won't anyone help me with that?' She's looking past Erik!

A town guard trudges forward in a zombie-like manner from behind. He was the one who the midara was working her magic on! "If you save me from harm, my body is all yours," she tells the bewitched man.

How dare she. How dare she! Erik's mind briefly flashed back to his home town and seeing everyone he grew up with enthralled by midara. His knuckles whitened as his grip on his sword tightened. With an angry yell, he swung at the midara with everything he had!

Erik goes berserk! He slashes at the Acolyte, but the thrall jumps in the way!

The town guard stands up and lunges at Erik!

"Hahaha, you don't have to fight, there's enough of me to go around!" the midara giggles.
She opens her arms as an invitation.

Failure! Erik is too busy fighting the thrall to respond!

"Ugh, men are more interested in battle, it seems!" the temptress groans.

That moment is soon over, as a flapping sounds causes the fighting duo to look up. It's a vision in white, beautifully framed by the sun. An angel has landed! Erik gazes upon his new opponent in anger. He can't let what happened to his village occur again!

Erik looked up to see a vision of beauty descend from on high. This wasn't good.

As the guard came to his senses and fled, Erik turned his attention to the Preacher. If she wasn't dealt with soon, how many more midara would she summon to this town? With that in mind, Erik rushed to the Preacher and took a swing at her.

The angel instantly springs into action, chanting and waving her hands at her fellow temptress.
Magic shimmers, and suddenly the Acolyte is gone!

With the Preacher suddenly vanishing, Erik turns to the Angel. He has no idea what other kind of tricks she could pull nor when the Preacher could show up again, so Erik slips into a defensive stance.(Defend)

Erik defends, wary of any dirty moves the angel might use. Toughness and Focus are doubled this round!

The angel frowns. "You look so angry! Here, this might calm you down a bit!" she nudges.
She signs a bit before gesturing, and Erik feels a brand appear on his shoulder.

Buff. The target is hit and marked by an incantation that lowers aggression and boosts sensitivity. The target gains +3 bonus to total Sensuality scores and a -3 penalty to total Power scores. Lasts 3 turns.
Erik suddenly loses his rage, instead looking at the midara in appreciation as fellow creatures upon this green earth. Wait, what? "See, you're already much more amiable. Don't you like the magic of free love?" the midara asks.

The Acolyte sits in waiting, wondering what her partner in battle is up to. Toughness and Focus are doubled this turn!

Erik tries to shake off the weird vibes in his head!

"Your kind of love isn't something I'm interested in." Erik says as he shakes his head to try and clear his thoughts. The Angel in front of him was messing with his mind. He needed to take her out before she could use any more tricks.

With a nod to reassure himself, Erik charged at the Angel (Power Attack)

Erik attacks, though the angel's magic weakens him somewhat.

Angel's Reflex: 5+(roll 6)=11
Failure! Not that the force behind his swing matters, as he doesn't manage to hit the agile midara!
"Hahaha, that's not how you fight. Here, let me show you how it's done!" she boasts.

The angel flies upwards. Erik follows her with his eyes.

Power Attack. The user flies into the air and readies herself, giving an upskirt view of her underwear, before landing a devastating dropkick on her opponent. Does basic Power score damage+3, and one a 5 or higher, does direct Willpower damage equal to half the user's basic Sensuality score.
Angel's Aim: 5+(roll 1)=6
Erik's Reflex: 2+(equip 1)+(Nimble 1)+(roll 2)=6
Partial succes! The sunlight makes Erik not see her unmentionables, and he rolls out of the way in part of the angel's diving kick.
Angel's Power: 4+(ability 3)*(glance 0.5)=3.5>4
Erik's Toughness: 3+(equipment 1)=4
Failure! The kick bounces of his armor!
-3 Stamina cost for the ability, Malakhi's Stamina is now 37!
"Errr, that's not how I meant to demonstrate it." she says with a disappointed expression.

The Acolyte decides to take matters into her own hands and casts a Barrier on her ally from the safety of her veil.
-Barrier Buff(lasts 2 rounds, absorbs the damage of one attack completely, though not the side-effects)
No roll needed, cooldown of 3 turns was over.
-4 Willpower, Acolyte's Willpower is now 28!
Malakhi now has the Barrier buff!
"Thanks, you're always such a darling." the angel thanks her. "Here, have some love back."

Whenever a buff is cast on the ability holder, the giver of said buff replenishes 3 Stamina.
Healing magic flows to the hidden Acolyte! Acolyte's Stamina is now 11!

Barrier Buff on Malakhi lasts 2 more rounds!

Erik is still in good shape, but isn't making much progress with defeating the pair of temptresses!
