Kythinan Intyr Calherion, Half-Midara

Despite appearances, a man of 34 years. Despite name, he prefers Ky, as he feels it fits him much better than some pretentious persona would.

Ky is an extremely unusual case. His strange appearance and somewhat diminutive stature stems from his heritage as a half-midara. It isn't unusual for humans to breed with midara, for... obvious reasons, but it seems that somehow, these particular two were unusually compatible, and the resultant hybrid took some quite bizarrely potent traits as a result. In particular, he seems to possess some incredibly longevity (perhaps even agelessness), a heightened capacity for magic (even though he doesn't know any), and a midara's supernatural allure (but he can't consciously use it). He is bright and energetic, possessing the mental and emotional complexity one would expect of a human his age, but a much smaller body, which incidentally allows for a lot more stamina than most humans. As such, he can come across as incredibly precocious to those who don't realise what they're talking to, and he occasionally feels as though it's quite difficult to take him seriously - not that he realises that it is largely down to the perception of others, subtly influenced by his unconscious aura.

Raised among midara as a baby before being taken to live among humans for the last two decades, Ky has a very solid case to make for midara and humans to coexist a little better. He sees the relationship between both races as symbiotic, despite their borderline hostility to one another at times, and his ideal world contains no distinction between the two. He is something of a soothsayer, a natural pacifist, attempting diplomacy even when it is clearly pointless. Because of his fairly isolated upbringing, despite his internal maturity, he is still quite naive, and this bothers him to no end. He is therefore in the business of adventuring, both in his attempts to learn more of that which he is ignorant and to resolve quests safely when they would normally be answered with violence.

Of course, diplomacy on his part is made far more difficult by that magical charm he has that seems to make him such an appealing target...

Passives
Kalava Erosion - Severance of the Red String
Ky's natural charming aura, courtesy of his midara blood. Willpower damage he has received over the last two turns is gathered up, doubled, and is also dealt to the opponent upon him being attacked, as long as his compliance - even magically forced compliance - is a factor in it. To put it simply, he's so adorable that he turns into a bomb of cute when he's being affectionate. Kalava Erosion begins with a 0% chance of activating in response to being hit by a Willpower-based move. This ability gains a +10% chance of activating every time he receives damage or fails a check for a maximum of 80%. In addition, the enemy is automatically Charmed when receiving damage from this ability.

Retrocognitive Arcanogenesis - Breath of Revival
Upon losing a battle, Ky gains an additional empty ability slot. This can be filled by another character teaching him a magical ability. Alternatively, three ability slots can be combined to create a brand new ability.

Scolding Bash - Be Quiet and Listen to Me!
A sharp thump on the head with his staff in an endearingly paternal way. Deals 1 damage. If the target is a submissive type, 80% chance to stun. If the target is a dominant type, 20% chance to stun. A switch gets a 50% chance, of course.

Thwack - Violent Answer
Pragmatism wins the day, and Ky smacks the enemy with his staff. Deals 2 damage and has a 50% chance of inflicting Downed. If Downed is applied, deal an extra 1 damage.

Quell Spirit - Battle Meditation
Ky calms his thoughts. Heals for 10 Willpower, but cannot be used when a mental status is inflicted.

Weaknesses
Open-Minded
Mental status effects have an extra +10% chance to proc against Ky, and his rolls to escape them are always at disadvantage. If there is a turn count, it is increased by +1. In addition, he has a 40% chance to be Stunned every turn he is inflicted with Charm.

Sleepwalker
Ky is very suggestible when unconscious. When Sleep is inflicted, 80% chance to also apply Hypnotized (compelled to obey the enemy). However, because he is unconscious, it is usually difficult for him to carry out instructions.

Cool ability names.

He named them himself because he's a bit of a dork, but that's a secret so don't tell anyone.  (> ͜  O)
