Harper Vs. Evelynn

Following the information given to him by the demon Elise Harper had traveled to a distance and decadent city. Within which there lived a dangerous demon of lust and shadows. Harper had information on the demons hunting grounds and methods, but finding her could still prove difficult.

Having gotten to the city, Harper began to search it, having little idea where his target may be.

If his intelligence was to be believed then the demon lurked in places of indulgence. Brothels, clubs, etc. Seducing and enslaving mortals to her hearts content. He would likely have to find the seediest, grimiest corners of this city to begin his search.

With this being a demon of lust, he assumed it would more likely be in a club than a brothel, so he began to check out any clubs he could find.

The city had several clubs. The Golden Door, The Siren's Rock, the list went on and on. But one was spoken of in hush and knowing tones, a legendary club called The Angel's Fall.

Hearing of its famous, or infamous, reputation, Harper decided to check out The Angel’s Fall first.

Harper quickly found the two story club. The music from within could be heard all the way down the street, and there was a long line by the door.

Feeling he had the best chance at finding who he was looking for in this club, Harper got into the line and waited.

The line moved at a snail's pace. It would take him hours to get to the front at this rate.

Not wanting to wait that long to find that he was searching in the wrong place, Harper got out of line and searched around the alleys around the club, hoping to find a back entrance to it.

There were certainly back alleys around the club. Unfortunately he wasn't the only one there. "Hey handsome. Looking for a good time?" Asked an immodestly dressed woman, one of several souls lurking near the back of the club.

“I’m searching for a way into this club without waiting in the slow line,” Harper answered as he passed by the woman, continuing to look for another entrance.

"That's what everybody's looking for." She chuckled. "But few are going to find it." Harper quickly found a rear service entrance, watched by a mean looking bouncer.

Harper approached the bouncer, asking, “How much to get it?”

"If you want to pay your way in you'll have to use the VIP entrance." The bouncer said with a toothy grin, gesturing further down the alleyway to another part of the building. "But I double you can afford it." He added before spitting on the ground.

“How much is it to get in the VIP access?” Harper asked, having a little confidence on the money he made demon hunting.

"Depends on the matire'd's mood." The bouncer answered, his grin growing more sadistic.

Feeling like he wouldn’t get any actually good information out of the bouncer, Harper made his way to the VIP enterance.

The VIP entrance was much better kept, with a red carpet and a well dressed older man keeping an eye on it.

“How much is it to enter through here?” Harper asked, getting tired of repeating that question.

The man opened his mouth to shoo Harper away when the demon hunter felt a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry Carlos. He's with me." Purred a sensual voice right beside him. "Yes ma'am." The matire'd answered with a respectful bow.

Harper acted as natural as he could, since playing along with whoever was beside him seemed to be his quickest way in.

A tall woman in an elegant red evening dress swept past him, leading the demon hunter inside. "So what delicious morsel have I caught today?" She pondered aloud, licking her lips.

“Thank you for getting me in, but I’m not going to be your morsel, I have business to attend to,” Harper replied, trying to go past the lady and search for the demon.

"Aww. You're not gonna give me anything for getting you in." She said with a pout. "Will you at least tell me what your business is?"
