Mattew

Mattew heard the Bakeneko coming behind them,and turned to Niles "Well,since we got a follower here,I'll stop the trivia,luckily for you" Then he stopped and waited for the catgirl "Did you forgot to say something?"

Maria

"Ummm...sharmites..? Is that what your race is called?"
"Dying to follow you...right......so treating them as friends,not slaves,huh? I guess that's nice in a way.....but going back to the point,where should we start looking for Mattew?" Maria said,a bit impatient to start her search for her friend.

Niles and Mattew
"Well, nah, unless you count my name." The Bakeneko explained. "You handsome boys can call me Ruby Meignes." She winked and put her hand on her hip while she said her name. "Now, as for why I'm coming down here, I'm only interested in the lovely gems that can be dug up from this cave. I just happen to be going the same way, but if you'd like to stick together~..." She smiled, closed her eyes, and cocked her head. "After all, power in numbers."

Lexi and Maria
The Oni nodded. "Sure, we can look for your friend." She said. She looked up at the sky. It looked like it was still midday. "I know they went to the Central Field, but beyond that I'm not sure. Shall we go search?"

Mattew

"Ruby,huh? Well,I guess not presentating ourselves would be kind of mean,so name's Mattew,and that guy over there..." He pointed towards Niles "Is Niles.....and keep the 'handsome' to yourself,please,we're not looking for girlfriends today...well,at least not me,I guess" Mattew said,with a grin,and continued to walk ahead. "I guess we could use someone who knows at least a little more than us about this cave. I don't think it would be very safe to walk blindly around"


Maria
"Central....Field...?" Maria,confused,looked at the oni "Well.....I guess we can start the search, as long as you could take the lead,since I don't know much about these lands..."

Aiko


Aiko looked around in confusion. She had been attempting to assess the feasibility of teleportation utilizing her amp just a few minutes ago.
"But... That was back in the capital..." She mumbled. "Yet I instantaneously traveled all the way to Queens. Add the height from which I was dropped and that's... Well, quite a distance." She emptied the fractured rune pieces out of her hand and into one of the numerous pockets in her robe. "On the other hand, it wasn't the destination I was hoping for, I could have ended up anywhere. I could have materialized inside a wall, or at the bottom of the ocean, or in one of those creepy gothic nightclubs..." Aiko shook her head and let out a sigh. "This experiment is ridiculously dangerous, I'll have finish it when I get back."

Aiko tilted her head up and examined the bar sign again. She had never been to the queens city, although she had heard stories. It had been described as a either a kind of utopia, a haven for radical sharmites, or a wretched hive of scum and villainy, depending on who she asked. To her though, it was an opportunity. First hand knowledge of the queens city is difficult to come by after all. "As long as I can pass for a sharmite I should be safe. I'll just get some directions from that bar and then head to the nearest hospital to get patched up. Maybe I can fit in an interview or two before I leave..." She smirked slightly and rubbed her chin. "The trip back to the capital could be a bit of a pain though. I had better hire an escort just in case."

"But for now, I suppose I should look convincing." She said as she began to walk towards the bar. After a moment she picked up the pace and tried to turn it into a strut and attempted to sway her hips seductively as she walked. Bad execution made this look more like an awkward limp from a women who really needed the bathroom. When she reached the door she threw it open and took a bold step inside.





Niles


"Ruby... Yeah, I get it. Hilarious." Niles muttered under his breath. After a moment, he reluctantly let his arm rest at his side again. He doubted protesting would get him anywhere.
"So... This destination of yours. It's harmless right? I mean, we aren't going to run into any hostile sharmites or monsters or something?"

Niles and Mattew
"Oh, we might." Ruby told them. "I don't know what's ahead, I don't live here. I just want to mine precious gems~!" She held her pickaxe and sighed. "But don't think I won't hold my own in a fight."

Aiko
Inside the Black Fruit, Sharmites and their slaves were all gathered around a center table, where a pair of male Humans were arm wrestling. They appeared to be slaves to a Succubus and a Harpy. At the bar itself there was a sexy Drider with blue eyeshadow, red lipstick, and wearing nothing but a black leather jacket.

Lexi and Maria
"All right, then follow me." The Oni said. She turned to Lexi. "Little girl, are you coming?"

Mattew

"You don't know this cave? Well...that's a bit of a bust,but at least if dangers come ahead, three would be better than two." Mattew said,and kept walking.

Lexi was torn, on the one hand this was the perfect opportunity to loot the campsite then leave, on the other, this human was different, there was obviously something about her... Something, at the least, very interesting "I'll come along" she smiled

Niles and Mattew
Ruby thought to herself and walked with them, as if she thought that she was part of their group already.

Lexi and Maria
"Good. Then come on." The Oni said, starting to lead the way.

Niles

"You can handle yourself in a fight?" These words of encouragement only served to make Niles more nervous. "How so? I mean, whats your fighting style exactly?" He pointed towards her pickaxe. "You plan on swinging that thing around? Cause it looks kinda heavy..."



Aiko

Aiko didn't notice the drider as she walked in, she was far to distracted by the exhibition at the table. She continued watching as she approached the bar. She was curious as to why such a simple thing could attract so much attention. Or perhaps this was normal and she just needed to get out of the house more. She leaned her back against the bar and started observing the men and women with the sharmites. Most looked happy enough, but she couldn't help feeling somewhat sorry for them. Her eyes continued to jump from person to person as she addressed the women behind the bar.
"Hey, I'm kind of new around here." Aiko slowly turned around to see who she was talking to. "I don't suppose you could point me to a hosp-"
Aiko's eyes widened and she froze completely, her hands trembling slightly. "S- S- Sp-" She stuttered. Her throat had gone dry. "(Ugh...! I hate spiders! Alright, Just don't focus on the lower half.)"
Aiko focused completely on the driders eyes. "H-Hello there. I was j-just wondering if there was a hospital around here. I uhm, hurt my head you see. I fell out of a widow- window and I couldn't fly." She let out a nervous laugh while maintaining piercing eye contact. Her voice had gone raspy.
"S-So if you know anywhere like that well, that would be great, b-but if you don't then that's fine too, I mean, I'm sure I could find it myself if I looked hard enough, In fact, I might just do that, yeah m-maybe I'll just go...!" Aiko took a slow awkward step away from the bar.

Niles and Mattew
Ruby held up her pickaxe. "Well, that's probably not a bad idea, except for its weight, yeah." She thought to herself. "But, obviously, I'm a Sharmite~. I can just use Love Power like all the others!" She closed her eyes, faced a little to the side, and blew a kiss. A small red heart the same shade as her lipstick flew into the air. "Like that." She said.

Aiko
"Hey, stay for a while, pretty girl!" The Drider told her. She smiled at her. "I won't bite unless you want me to~. As for a hospital, I can call that sexy Lapin medic and she'll be here in a jiffy." She motioned to a phone hanging from a wall. "Come on, stay a while. Get a drink. Take the load off."

Mattew
"So you plan on fighting....with that? Well,if you say so..." Mattew said,a bit confused.
"...Love Power?...Ummm...Niles,mind catching me on?"

Maria
"Alright,I'm following you" Maria started walking behind the oni.
"Did Mattew told you anything about where was he going?"

Erick

Erick, somewhat surprised by Pintas bravado agreed with her unthinkingly, "this is our money, and im not gonna give our money away" he slurred and clumsily drew his dagger, as soon as he did, he regained some of his senses, the feel of the blade that was all he knew always helped him clear his mind.


Lexi

Silently, Lexi followed the oni and the strange girl

((Just found a massive spider chilling out near my foot. Coincidence? I think not.))


Aiko

"I-I can't...! B-Because I'm allergic to alcohol, and juice, and water...! I can't drink anything, I'm allergic to liquids...!" Aiko took another step away from the bar. "And this lapin lady, well s-she would be furious if we asked her to come all the way down here...! I need a walk anyway, I'll save her the trip and get some exercise...! I-It's a win-win for everybody really, especially you, you win twice...!"






Niles

Niles hesitated before answering, this was not a question he got asked very often. "Well, contrary to its name it actually has absolutely nothing to do with love. It's basically a very potent type of magic that only sharmites can use. Its channeled through the lips, which is apparently the reason so many sharmites are naturally flirtatious."
Niles paused for a moment. "I'm not making this up, I swear!"
"That alchemist friend of mine has spent more time then necessary looking into the possibility of humans harnessing love magic. Broadly agreed to be pretty much impossible, not that she really seems to care." He sighed.

Mattew

Niles words,'I'm not making this up,I swear!',made Mattew laugh. "It's alright,calm down,I didn't said anything yet!"
"I guess that then I've already seen it twice,but didn't know they were about that.One sharmite in the run they made me do after I came here almost kissed me too,but I avoided it.And the second time,is just now" He said,pointing to the place the heart just was. "Got enough evidence now."

Erick
The hooded man found it interesting how quickly the drunken man returned to his sensed when he drew his dagger. "If you insist!" He yelled. "EN GARDE!" He dashed forwards and swiped horizontally at Erick's chest with his dagger!

Aiko
The Drider behind the bar stared at Aiko. "...Allergic to liquid?" The spidery woman asked. "That's physically impossible, isn't it?" She thought out loud, looking up at the ceiling. "Humans and in fact most creatures need to drink water to survive... Unless you're not Human, maybe you're something that doesn't drink..." She looked at Aiko curiously.

Lexi and Maria
Thinking to herself, the Oni put one hand on her hip and the other on her chin. "I think they said that they were on their way back to their other mistress?" She said. "He and his friend said that their previous mistress was extremely dangerous so it would be a bad idea for me to escort them. So I just let them go. Do you belong to their mistress too?"

Niles and Mattew
"Oh, your description is accurate..." Ruby began. "But you're actually missing a bit about Love Power." She leaned on her pickaxe. "You see, some Sharmites can use their Love Power just from physical contact. In fact, the Lapin medics that go around Capital City and the Queen's City are both versed in healing people by hugging them~. It's quite adorable, really." She began to look to the side and giggled a little. "And while Humans can't use Love Power, they can use miscellaneous magic spells to at least emulate the effects."

Aiko

"Y-Yes of course, I'm a sharmite who is allergic to liquids...! I know it's strange, I was always such a sickly child...! If I have contact with any form of liquid I will just drop dead...!"
Aiko raised her arm to wipe a bead of sweat off of her forehead and immediately remembered why she was looking for a hospital in the first place. "I mean all liquids except blood! Obviously I'm okay with blood...! Its an exception because its so... Red...?" She immediately scolded herself for saying that.

She let out an uneasy sigh. A growing feeling of disappointment almost rivaled her fear at this point. She was disappointed that such a childlike state could be induced in her so easily. Through pride or possibly frustration she managed to regain a measure of her composure.
Aiko broke eye contract with the drider and looked around the bar. It was a place to relax, talk and drink, a potential information goldmine. She raised an eyebrow as she considered the opportunity.
"(Well, I suppose I could find a table out of view of the main bar and get patched up here. Perhaps even get a tipsy sharmite talking and gather some data. Two birds with one stone!)"
She made sure to continue facing away from the drider as she addressed her.
"On second thought, m-maybe I will take a seat. I should be fine if I don't drink anything right?" Aiko let out a nervous laugh. "C-Could you give your friend a call?"



Niles

"Magic through nothing but bodily contact?" Niles repeated skeptically. "So, hypothetically speaking, It's entirely possible that within the next twenty minutes I could literally get hugged to death...? Damn, what a world we live in..."
Niles turned towards Ruby inquisitively. "How about you then? It never hurts to know your allies right? If we get into trouble we should probably have knowledge of your abilities so we can best utilize them. For example, how does your magic manifest itself?"

Mattew

Mattew looked at Ruby,sort of surprised. "You mean,by hugging too? Damn,I had figured out the kissing,but now hugging....Next time we know it they'be doing it by handshaking" Mattew joked.
"Oh,yeah,that's a good point,we need to know the strenghts and weaknesses of the team so we can know when should we help eachother or make a combo or something. I was about to ask you that,in fact."

Maria

Maria was caught surprised with the question. "Ah...Um....Well,yes,I am one of her servants too,but I...uh...was a newcomer,so I don't know where to look for them. Wait....there was someone else with him?"

Aiko
The normally seductive Drider was nothing but totally baffled by Aiko. "Right..." She said. "All right, uhm, I'll call Naydene." She turned to the phone and called for the medic.
The rest of the bar barely acknowledged Aiko, going about their own business.

Niles and Mattew
Ruby nodded. "It's not a COMMON thing..." She explained. "The Medics explained it to me as just 'Intimate Healing.' She wasn't very specific but they both said it was something they could do. And as for me, I like to kiss people to augment or subtract their power." She winked. "If you wanted to do some digging for me, I could kiss you on the cheek and make you stronger temporarily~. As well as the usual draining and healing kisses, and blowing kisses with similar effects." She lifted her pickaxe. "And like we established, I have this."

Maria and Lexi
"Yeah, there was." The Oni said. She gave Maria a description of how Niles looked. "And they both belonged to the same woman. It was a shame, I liked having them."

Mattew
"So it's sort of just for healing then......hm,this powers seem to be pretty interesting.....But coming back to the point,you can make people stronger or weaker by kissing them,huh? Well,that'd be useful if we come across heavy boulders or something. But...are you sure you still want to swing that heavy thing around?" Mattew said,with a sweat drop. "I could lend you one of my spare swords if you wanted."

Maria
Maria looked to the sky,with a hand on her chin.
"I...don't think I recall seeing him....maybe...uh...he was a newcomer too or something." Maria then went back a bit in time.
"(Wait....did she not heard me when I said that I was traveling with him before he...suddently turned his slave,and at the same time he was a slave of someone else too?....Well,as long as she doesn't notice how weird it is,everything will be alright)" She then continued walking. "Now that I think of it,I never introduced myself,did I? Well,I'm Maria.nice to be working together"

Erick

Erick, still not having fully come to his senses, jumped back a second too late and winced in pain as the dagger nicked him in the side, as soon as he'd regained balance he lunged forwards, aiming for his opponents arm

Lexi

"I'm Lexi, Good to meet you maria" Lexi took marias hand and delicately kissed it, always good to start as you mean to carry on, she thought

Maria
Maria stood a bit awkard for a second,but rapidly shook it out "Uh...Nice to meet you too,Lexi"

Niles

"Ahem? If we wanted to do some digging for you?" Niles chuckled and shook his head. "Is that your subtle way of asking for help?"
Joking aside, Niles was relieved to hear the details of Ruby's magic. A simple strength drain didn't have any negative implications. Using love magic to brainwash someone, even a hostile bandit, was something he wasn't going to tolerate.
Although, something she said did strike him as slightly worrying. "You said you spoke with a medic in the queens city right? You're not a regular to Queens are you?"



Aiko

Aiko didn't say another word, she just nodded and began walking away from the bar as fast as she could manage. She spotted a few tables that would be out of view of the main bar so she hastily walked towards an empty one and sat down, exhaling a deep sigh of relief as she did. Now it was just a case of waiting for the medic to arrive. Aiko pulled a small notepad and pen out of her pocket and held them just below her eyes. She took subtle look from over her notepad at a sharmite and scribbled something down. Her eyes hopped to another and she again began scribbling something onto the pad. She repeated this pattern a few times before resting the note pad on the table and examining it with a satisfied expression.

Mattew
"That's not all,she said she spoke with both medics,the Capital city medic too,so...are you a traveler of some kind?"

Niles and Mattew
"Eyup!" Ruby said, nodding and winking. "I travel to both cities. I dig up gems, and what I like I keep, but what I don't like, I sell. It's a good source of money."

Aiko
In about five minutes, a woman with long blonde hair, black bunny ears, a black bunny tail, and a pink nurse outfit with the top unbuttoned walked in. She walked up to the bar. This must have been the medic woman, a Lapin Sharmite.

Erick
The opponent grunted, having been cut on the arm. The hooded man growled at Erick and lunged at him to strike again, this time at his leg!

Lexi and Maria
The group of three pretty women all arrived in the Central Field soon enough. "So, the two went this way." The Oni said. "I just need to deduce where they would've gone... Which is hard when you drink a lot of alcohol like me..." She grunted and tried to think.

Mattew
"So that explains it.See,Niles?It's not like she's a spy trying to kill us or something,she would have tried it already if that was the case.Knowing your allies's moves can help,but if you don't trust them then nothing will do."

Maria
Maria stood in her thinking position again.
"Well....if they weren't going to a city,maybe they're looking for a place to rest or eat,I guess.Aren't there any campments or little places like towns nearby?Maybe they went there"
