Character Profile: Kalcos the Neko Operative

Background:
Kalcos was born and raised by Lester and Edith, the leaders of a thieving organization, learning his parent's trade by the age of 7 at a very early age, allowing his grow as a thief to excel from the start.  During his initiation at the age of 14, as a member of the organization, he manage to surprise and impress most everyone by stealing the lockpick of the best senior member, Nickolas Demoi.  

Unfortunately this act has drew the ire of the thief who came to resent the young Kalcos's action, not because of the act of theft himself but the humiliation of being one-upped by a kid.  In return, Kalcos kept nabbing Nickolas's tools and, most of all, his large pride.  It was until the point that Nickolas's temper blew up and attempting to kill Kalcos.  Though his parents' was able to save Kalcos, it was not without a cost that the young thief's vocal chord was slashed and scarred, rendering him almost unable to speak.  Worst of all, Nickolas has already escaped before anyone could catch him.

However, Nickolas's revenge wasn't finished.  Not even a few days later, he returned with the ruler's personal retinue of guards stormed the organization, capturing any members they come across and cutting down those that resist.  However, Nickolas made one fatal error, he is technically member of the organization and a traitor to boot.  While most of the members captured were incarcerated, Nickolas's sentence was execution.

Furthermore, in the middle of the chaos, Lester, Edith, and Kalcos were able to escape, thanks to the aid and sacrifice of their most loyal senior members (being captured willingly as the "Leaders") ultimately causing Nickolas's actions to be for nothing.

With the downfall of the organization, Lester, and Edith decided to put their trades to use for contract in a rather well established city.  It happens to turn out that their efficiency has caught the executive of the Sunset Academy whom offers a more permanent position as instructors in the academy for the thief guild.  The executive also offers Kalcos paid tuition should Lester and Edith accept.  With the future of their only child in minute, the couples accepted and all of their fate now lies within the Sunset Academy.

Appearance:
Even at the age of 19, Kalcos was very short, only standing at a height of 5'1", well under most guys and a good amount of girls as well.  His maroon hair is usually unkempt in a unorganized mess with a pair of triangular black furred pair of ears sticking out diagonally from the side.  His eyes are a small pair of dark brown, very closely resembling the maroon hair except darker.  When expose, there is a slash scar across his throat where Nickolas's dagger went across.  All in all, with the exception of the scar, he has very cute appearance and the overall packages may cause some girls to want to pet him, to his chagrin.

Though Kalcos possess a variety of cloths and gears, his usual gear consist of  dark green khaki vest donned over a dark brown stretchable shirt with and matching dark green khaki cargo shorts with a large belt with a few pouches for his tools.  His hands are covered in a leather brown glove that covers all except the very tips in which he can unsheath his claws out for some vicious swipes.  Finally, he wears light brown leather shoes that is virtually leak proof and almost hard to remove without undoing the buckets.

Personality:
Due to his profession, Kalcos is hyper alert of his surrounding, always looking around for every single detail.  His lack of voice does not tone down his sharp mind, witty remarks, and stinging snarks, which he broadcast to the person he is "talking" to with a waterproof notepad and pen.

He also doesn't seem to hold much loyalty or friendship to anyone except his parents.  Even though he does meet people and form a network, it does not go beyond acquaintance and mutually benefiting partners, no emotional attachment, and feels his parents are the only emotional support he needs, even if they insist he makes more deeper and meaningful associations.

One thing that does cause him to fear is a situation spiraling out of his control, something he never fully gotten over with with the downfall of his parent's organization.  Also he tends to be very cautious when doing anything as if he is expecting Nickolas to come for him in revenge, not knowing Nickolas was executed.

Dirty fighting
For someone that is not formally trained in close quarter combat by the academy, he is particular vicious in combat, especially up close and is known to fight dirty as well.  This no-nonsense attitude in combat even extends to midaras if he feels he is in danger, physically or mentally wise, which is often due to his paranoia.

Claw Frenzy
Kalcos extends his claws and swipes rapidly at the enemy.  4 rolls with one damage each hit.

Claw Trap
Kalcos dashes right past the enemy before turning around and jumping on their back with his legs wrapped around their waist or neck and starts clawing them.  Deals 2 damage and puts them in a bind dealing an additional 2 damage each time they fail to struggle.

Toxic blow dart One usage
Kalcos takes out a blowpipe and fires a single dart at the enemy.  The dart deals no damage itself but the poison deals 7 damage over a period of 7 turns starting with the next one.

Throw sand/dirt/dirty water
Kalcos grabs handful of the ground and flings it at the enemy.  Deals 1 damage and blinds them for 3 turns, giving them a hit on accuracy.

Cornered cat's tenacity
If there is one thing that Kalcos hates is being suck.  His claws makes very good tools at clawing  whatever is keeping him down which includes limbs.  Attack opponents directly Claw Frenzy while in bind.  If his arms are not available, he will either bite or headbutt for 2 damage.  Can be used to free himself if not held directly (ex. net).

Yoink!
Kalcos puts his thieving skills to use.  Able to take or disarm a held item and their related move cannot be used until recovered (by getting hit).

Pain to focus
When finding himself fighting against those that attack his will or mind, he finds pain is a very good focus medium.  If struck, he can recover 7 willpower.  He can also bite himself to do this but at the cost of 2 stamina and can help him snap out of mental states.  The will power recover only occurs once per match.  

Passive
HIIISSSSSSS!  His near death with Nickolas gives him a vicious will to come out victorius at all cost.  Each time an attack succeeds on him, he gains a bonus damage for his next attack.

Graceful recovery:Even with the most sloppiest attack, he can usually recover to the point that his motion is still stabilized.  Critical fails become normal fails.[/b]
