Severa VS Imite

Soldiers and mercenaries alike patrolling the roads around the city, searching for their mark. It was a sight Imite was far too familiar with than she cared to admit. One little slip up with the city guard and her face was already on a wanted poster. Or at least, the face she was wearing at the time.
"And they couldn't even bother to get the details right." She hissed to herself as she looked upon one such poster. In order to slip out of the city's watchful eye, she had assumed the role of a snake in the grass. Literally. She found it much easier to evade detection with the form of a Lamia hidden in the bushes. She could hide out for a while, but the upped patrols would likely catch attention of outsiders. Her hiding spot would only provide her with so much cover...

-The old ruleset applies: the rolls are 1 to 100 even rolls are a success, uneven rolls are a failure.
-Characters are allowed 1 free action, but must otherwise stick to their movepools.
-Instead of VIRTUE and VICE, the adventurers have WILLPOWER and the midara have STAMINA.
-Encounters that use characters from the OpenRPG may cause a re-appearance of said midara, depending on outcome.

Paralyzed Status- Character will be unable to move next turn and will be unable to dodge the next attack

Charmed Status- The next attack dealt by the midara does +1 Willpower damage

Bind Status- Character will be unable to move and continually suffer 2 Willpower damage each turn unless they roll a 50 or higher and escape

Downed Status- Character's next action is skipped, allowing their opponent to attempt a follow-up

Dazed Status- Character must roll two successes instead of one in order to hit


Even rolls higher than 85 are considered critical and allows the attacker to follow up with another move

Odd rolls lower than 14 are critical failures, allowing the opponent's next attack to be a guaranteed success

Severa and Imite both start at 30 Willpower and 30 Stamina.

The town was in a frenzy as they searched for this mysterious woman who had caused quite a bit of grief. Normally, Severa wouldn't get too involved unless there was something in it for her and there just so happened to be a hefty sized bounty associated with the capture and or destruction of this woman. Perfect to feed the bounty hunter's growing gambling debts that arose out of boredom. Although technically, Severa would just have to wait a few weeks and then she'd be able to convince those collectors she isn't worth bothering.

Walking around town, Severa hadn't seen anything out of the ordinary aside from the people staring at her. That one was more a given to her rather than something unusual as Severa's identity and well, revealed attire certainly attracted eyes even when her Midara-Cycle was at it's most passive. She didn't mind the stares, however, as charm was just one way to advance in life. Simple fact.

Of course Severa suspected the wanted figure would have probably bolted from town as the frantic searches were all taking place in town and the roads leading out. Obvious places to avoid if you were smart enough when wanted so Severa opted to investigate something not quite as obvious. Heading to the outskirts of town, she was greeted by the woods and there, it didn't take long before she caught something ordinary.

A set of bushes was hiding something which Severa could see as she passed it and at first, she pretended like nothing was there. However, she doubled back around and hoped to catch whatever it was off guard. Casually strolling past the bush in question, Severa spotted the end of a tail to which she suddenly grabbed and yanked, trying to pull whatever create it belonged to out from the bushes. "Yeeaa nice try!"

Continuing to hide out in the bushes, Imite watched the patrols, looking for an opportunity to escape. Changing her form would have covered her tracks well enough, but it was too risky with this many people after her. Fortunately, it looked like they were sticking to the roads and the more clear paths away from town. It would be easy enough to slip out, just a little bit longer...

Of course, that plan had to wait. Imite heard the footsteps of someone approaching and ducked down into the bushes. She peaked out from the leaves and saw a woman looking about. Just her luck. She lightly flicked her forked tongue in annoyance, but the feel dissipated as the woman moved on. Odd. She could have sworn she had been found out.

She began to entertain thoughts of leaving when that came to an abrupt halt from the feeling of a hand grabbing her tail. She made a hostile hiss as she was unceremoniously dragged from her hiding spot. Figures she should have paid closer attention to the other. "Shhh! Do you want those soldiers to hear you?"

"Soldiers?" Severa questioned aloud as she continued to pull the lamia out into the open. "I don't care about any soldiers but from the sounds of it, you might? Wonder why that is, huh." Severa said as she tossed the lamia's tail aside. She yawned and stretched her hands up above her head before crossing them across her chest. "So can I just go ahead and turn you in to those soldiers right now or did you want to try and stop me?"

Of course. With the bounty she had, anyone who caught her would readily turn her in to get the money. As such, Imite had no intentions of going quietly. She hissed lightly before straightening herself up, glaring at Severa. She had to get them both out of the open, lest the patrols decide to go further outward. "I think you already know the answer to that. Speaking of which..."

Imite slithered her tail around Severa, using the fact that it had been tossed aside to creep it near her would-be captor. She then tightened her coils around her, wrapping her up in their grip. "I don't think I'll let you go anywhere!"

They always try to stop her.. Severa's mind wandered for a moment as she recollected old memories, long enough for the situation to change. Severa clenched her teeth in a scowl as she felt the scaly hide of the lamia wrap around her body, pinning her arms to her sides in that coil. "Tch.. We'll just have to see about this."

Severa began to push with her arms to try and pry herself enough room inside the coil to ideally break free.

Try as she might to keep Severa in her coils, Imite wasn't able to keep her grip on her opponent, allowing Severa to make enough room for her to escape. Imite hissed lightly and tried to focus on reading Severa's form to get an idea of what she was working with.

Her concentration couldn't stay stable as Severa pushed her tail out of the way, however, much to Imite's annoyance. "My, you're stubborn, but I'm still not going quietly."

With increased agitation, came increased exertion as Severa used her enhanced physiology to pull the lamia's coils apart before lifting herself out of the entrapment. Stubborn was putting it lightly as Severa pushed herself away for a moment, giving her the chance cock a closed fist back and allowing a second to charge up and spark. "..Tch. Not the only here that is stubborn." Severa spat back her as she let her fist soar, aimed right at knocking the lamia right into her cheek!

Witnessing the spark of her opponent's fist, Imite knew that something was coming her way. When the punch was thrown, she quickly swerved her upperbody to the left, avoiding the punch from connecting with her cheek.

Concentrated on the incoming attack, Imite's focus was more centered on her opponent which allowed her to get a better read on Severa. What she found out caused a look of surprise to cross her face. A half-midara? She knew that their existence was possible, but to actually encounter one was not something she expected. This suddenly became all the more interesting...

A swing and a miss... It wasn't beyond the realm of possibility but it was still frustrating, nonetheless. "Oi. Snake lady. You look a bit surprised you managed to dodge that." Severa taunted as she recovered from the over-extension, a bit taken back that the lamia looked so surprised. "Not use to people who fight back?" It was moments like this (paired with Severa's present stage in her midara cycle) that she remembered why her father was such a doting Inquisitor. Now Severa's situation was a bit different but she still had the same desire to good, relatively speaking.

Her opponent's lack of attack prompted Severa to try and wrap things up nicely with her next maneuver. Lifting her hand, she opened her palm to the lamia before quickly closing her hand causing a golden glow to begin to emit on the ground, just under the Lamia.

Whatever retort Imite had would be interrupted by the runic rings appearing around her. They quickly closed in on her, snaring her in a hold. The effect solicited a hostile hiss as she struggled against the rings fruitlessly. Suffice to say, she wouldn't be going anywhere for a while.

(Hm. Might change that to a Bind instead of Stunned for future matches, allowing the opponent a chance to escape)

"Hmph. Too easy." Severa mocked as she looked on with satisfaction. "I'll give you this one chance to surrender and come quietly now that you are trapped. Otherwise, I'll just have to rough you up a bit and you probably don't want that, snake-lady." To add to her threat, Severa flicked her wrist and it ignited, displaying a potential future if the lamia didn't give up.

Despite how much she struggled against the bindings, Imite couldn't break free. Then came the threat of further ramifications if she didn't surrender. One thing was certain: she needed to get in a better position than she was in right now, so maybe... "Okay, fine! You've made your point! I submit!"

"Hmph. That's a good snake-lady. You never would have stood a chance against me but you might stand a chance if I turn you."

Severa said sounding placing her hands on her hips with a certain satisfaction. She stepped forward and grabbed Imite by the shoulder and pulled her along as she started to make her way back to town.

At first Imite played the part of the captured snake, but a wry smile crossed her face after they went a short distance. "Why are you in such a hurry? After all..."

Imite lurched forward, wrapping her arms around Severa's body before pressing her lips against Severa's in a kiss. Imite's forked tongue forced Severa's lips open and she could feel the air leaving her lungs. Once her breath was stolen, Imite separated from Severa, flicking her tongue at her victim in a teasing manner. "You seem so out of breath!"

!!! Severa's eyes went wide when she felt herself suddenly wrapped up and then seized into a kiss! She closed her eyes as she felt her lips parted to allow a theft of her breath! Upon release, Severa collapsed onto her knees as she gasped for fresh air. She glanced up at Imite, her cheeks a touch red from being teased and kissed. She wasn't about to let this creature get the better of her so she tried to push through the feeling of breathlessness.

Push as she might, the lack of oxygen was too great an obstacle for Severa's body to pass through, causing her movement to falter. Imite giggled to herself at the display. "Oh dear. You look so tired."

Using the fact that her opponent was wavering to her advantage, Imite caught Severa in her tail once more and wrapped her snugly in her coils. "Why not just relax with me instead of running off?" She suggested, flicking her tongue just inches away from Severa's face. "You clearly need the rest."

Severa fell back onto a knee as she gasped and wheezed for a moment longer. Indeed, she was 'tired' so much so that she couldn't find a way to push through that feeling, finding herself helpless as she felt the tail of the lamia coil around her again. Severa managed to get to her feet but this may have only helped as now she was pinned upright with her arms to her sides again.

Her only response initially was the continued ragged breaths as Imite hovered ever so close. Still technically silenced by her winded breaths, Severa shot a scowled glare at Imite before attempting to lift apart the coils to free herself again.

Despite her breathlessness, Severa managed to lift Imite's coils, giving her enough space to escape from her opponent's grasp. Imite frowned and flicked her tongue in annoyance. "Geez, you're more slippery than you look."

"Why do you keep backing away? "C'mon, I'm not that bad." Imite attempted to pursue her prey, but Severa knew better and actively kept her distance to prevent the gap between them from closing too much.
