Castle of The Vampiress (Roguelike-ish RP)

You're standing in the cell that's held you for god knows how long, however when you woke up, the cell door was miraculously open. Is it some kind of divine intervention? Or a trap from your captors? You're cell is barren apart from your bed and you can't see the jail hallway from inside. What will you do

Trevor approached the cell door and looked ahead. It seemed way too off that his cell door was open, but even so, he's been in that cell for a while now. "This could be my only chance." He stepped out of the cell and took off.

Wasting no time, you leave your cell and sprint down the corridor. As you run you come to a twisting spiral staircase leading both up and down

He looked up then down. Neither direction seemed to be short enough for him to discern which direction he should objectively go. "Of course it wouldn't be that easy," he sighed. After a minute of indecisive, he decided to throw caution to the wind and go up.

Heading up the stairs Trevor finds that they go a surprisingly long way, when he finally reaches the top he finds himself in another a plush lounge, with comfy looking reclining sofas and beds. It was a long flight of stairs, would it hurt to rest a little?

He looked around the room, trying to see if there was anyone at all in the room. He'd even check behind the sofas before considering resting.

Trevor searches thoroughly and to his relief, finds that he's alone in this room.

Feeling relieved at the knowledge that he was alone, he opted to sit on one of the sofas to get a proper breather before continuing.

As he sits down, Trevor can't help but notice just how soft the sofa and pillows are, he could easily fall asleep in one of these if he wasn't careful. As he's thinking this, he can just about make out footsteps coming from an adjacent door

Though he did feel incredibly comfortable on this sofa, the sound of footsteps caught his attention and he readied himself for whatever was coming.

Standing ready, Trevor prepares to face whatever threat waits on the other side of the door. A couple of moments later the door swings open and in walks a woman. She sees Trevor and breaks into a joyful smile, she has long hair dyed in a purple pink gradient that seems to shimmer as it falls, and an incredibly cute face with sweet looking pink lips and piercings grey blue eyes. Trevor is momentarily taken aback by her appearance, she isn't a vampiress he recognised, nor any other temptress he'd seen while in captivity. She begins to speak "Oh you're awake! And you wound up in my little lounge, it's a long flight of stairs from the cells to here, why don't we take a rest and get comfy together?" Trevor finds her words somewhat hypnotic (beguiling words:10) Her words tug at his mind somewhat, but not enough to have any real effect. However this does mean Trevor is unaware that she's tried to influence him.

Her words seemed fine, it didn't seem suspicious at the moment. Still, as pretty and pleasant as she seemed, he needed to keep his guard up. "Who are you and where am I?"

"Questions questions, well honey, you're still in the castle, and you can call me Jenny!" While answering she moves to a long sofa and sits down "Come sit down honey, you look ever so tired, the beds in the cells are so cold and hard" (17) As she says this, Trevor realises just how tired he feels, he feels a strong compulsion to do as she's asked

"Well, I am kinda tired and my shoulders and back ache just a touch," he admitted. It seemed like a pretty good idea. He took a couple steps towards her, but stopped. "S-Sorry, but I can't afford to remain in this castle. I've gotta leave!"

"but how will you be able to escape if you're so exhausted...Come here, I can give you a lovely massage if you want?" (5) her offer seems somewhat out of nowhere and suspicious this time

He took suspicion in her for a moment. She seemed a touch desperate there. It was for a moment, but that was all he needed. "You're a resident in this castle, right?" He backed away towards the door she entered in, reaching for his scythe in case he needed to fight

Jenny notices him reaching for his scythe and stands up, "that's a very personal question to ask someone you've just met isn't it? You're being very cold with me aren't you?"(7) She approaches him as she speaks, a somewhat suspicious course of action

The closer she got, the more sure of his hunch he got. Eventually, once she was close enough, he gripped his scythe tightly and swung it at her.

(45) Realising that Jenny was almost certainly working in league with the Temptresses of the castle, Trevor lashes out with his scythe. However it took a moment to draw and Jenny had enough time to sidestep his blow with relative ease
"And here I was thinking you'd be a good boy and fall into my arms nice and easily, ah well, let's have some fun this way then..." (20) She steps back in towards Trevor and kisses him quickly on the cheek, as she does a wave of tiredness comes over him

He stumbled a bit, feeling a slight wave of exhaustion and blushes at being kissed. "Geez, as if I need anymore exhaustion!" He swung his blade at her again, but went for a curved stabbing motion with the blade.

(57) Trevor swung once more, but the tiredness must be getting to him as his opponent was able to once more dodge his attack. (17) she blows him a kiss this time, it manifests as a translucent yellow heart and floats slowly towards him, slowly enough that he is able to easily move out of the way

He growled in frustration and backed away until his back hit the door. He looked back and then to Jenny. "I don't have time for this!" He reached for the doorknob and attempted to open the door and rush out of the room.
