Spike vs Pash II(End)

"GOTCHA!!!!"

The sound of screeching could be heard as the monkey, trapped via the net surrounding it's body, disappeared in a flash of blue light. Slowly, the net was lifted by a red haired boy, his expression one of relief, tinged with slight boredom and annoyance.

"Yeesh...Another one? How many of these monkeys do I need to deal with? Every day, there's a new one..." An idea popped into Spike's head, one that had not graced him for many moons. "...I wonder how Pash is doing."

Ah yes. Pash. The first 'Midara' Spike had stumbled upon. His face burned as he remembered the outcome of their little scuffle, though it was not an unpleasant memory. She had been his first kiss after all. And they had managed to remain friends. Slowly, Spike lifted up his arm, placing a finger upon the wristwatch communicator he had. Maybe he could call her? He could have sworn she had put a way to contact her in the damn thing before knocking him out.

Pash heard her little communicator orb that Sierra had given her and was supersized to see someone other than Sierra calling her. She was in the middle of resting on a park bench in a park. Watching parents play with their kids on what must have been some type of family sports festival. She had no clue, just kind of walked into it. The name Spike was displayed on it.

"Now that is a surprise," she said to herself, her face lighting up.

And it was also a surprise that the two technologies seemed to be compatible with another. Amazing how technology was getting more and more advanced all the time. Even more awesome is that this is totally not a cop out by the writer to explain a plot hole.

She pushed the button and did not even bother waiting for him to say something first.

"SPIKE!!!," she yelled into the device, her voice full of glee, and got away with it because everyone else around her was also making lots of noise at the festivities.

"How have you been! Finally got around to calling me eh?"

As the communicator rang, Spike slowly placed it up to his ear, just to make sure it worked.....And slowly regretted it as she screamed his name. Yanking the communicator away, he cupped his ear, grumbling obscenities and the like.

"Gah...I'm fine, Pash....Ears may or may not be bleeding, but I'm doing alright. Sorry I havent called. I've been hard at work. Capturing monkeys, trying out a few new gadgets...I was actually just wrapping up for the day."

As the ringing in his ears dulled down, he looked down at the communicator, a grin on his face. It was good to hear her voice again, despite his complaints. "I missed you though. How have ya been? Staying out of trouble, I assume? Cause you know...I'd hate to have to break out the Stun Club...Or the net.....Or any of my other gadgets..." Oh boy, he hoped she could tell that he was teasing her.

"Haha, well I missed you to Spike! And I'm glad to hear you are going well. Hah! Well, you are going to have to define trouble if you want a straight answer *giggle*"

"Wait, did you seriously just call me to ask me if I needed to be beat with that stupid baton of yours? No, I don't need that, thank you very much."

"No, no...I was thinking about how it's been a while since we last saw each other. If you're in town..do you wanna hang out? That or I can see about using the Professor's lab and getting transported to where you are. Up to you, though."

The sorrows of not really having a vehicle of his own...Though he did learn how to drive a tank at the age of ten. It was to stop Specter, but it did seem a little weird that he was able to drive the thing with relative ease.

"Oh you have a teleporter? Hmmm, let me see. I am in...," said Pash as she looked for some kind of sign with the name of the park. "Ah! I am in Smithson Park. So, ummm, do you know where that is? Can you get here?"

"Oh yeah! I think my cousin Jimmy told me all about it. Give me a few minutes, I'll be there in no time!"

Hanging up, Spike ran towards the Professor's lab. As he did, numerous thoughts ran through his mind. How did he look? Should he go change? Maybe take a quick shower? What about his gadgets? If they were gonna hang out, he doubted that he needed them. Maybe he should grab fl-

Stopping in his tracks, Spike rose an eyebrow at his own internal dilemma. Why was he acting like this was going to be a date? Surely it wasn't anything *that* major, right?

Eventually, a flash of light was seen at the entrance of Smithson Park, Spike flipping forward onto the ground. Clad in a red sweatshirt and jeans, the spiky haired boy looked around for Pash. "Where is she...?"

The spiky hair was unmistakable. He stuck out like a neon sign in the crowd with that hair.

"Huh, so his name was Spike and his hair was spiky... Huh! Funny how that works," thought Pash to herself as she connected two dots.

"Hey! Hey Spike! Over here," shouted Pash while waving and jumping up and down. She was wearing a simple pink t shirt and jean shorts and white sneakers.

That voice caused Spike to stand up straight, face slightly pink as he caught sight of her. She looked...really pretty. Shaking his head (And berating himself for such a stupid line. Seriously? Really pretty? That's *all* he could come up with?) he moved towards her, a warm smile on his face. As he drew closer, he held his arms open. "Been a while...How have you been, Pash?"

Pash ran to him and all but tackled him to the ground with her forceful hug. Well, as forceful as a hug from a petite girl can ben.

"Haha, so good to see you! I'm fine. And you?"

You know, thinking about it...He probably should have expected the hug. And he had.

But he didn't anticipate the....forcefulness of it all. With a yelp, he tried his damnedest to stand. Truly, he did. Unfortunately, gravity and balance had other plans for him. And as such, he fell backwards, arms wrapping around the girl. If he was going down, he'd take her down with him, damnit!

"Well..I'm doing alright. My pants are a bit dirty, but ya know...I'm good. How about you? You aren't hurt, are you?"

"Awww, I'm happy to see you t... Ahhhhh!"

The two of them fell on to the grass with Pash on top of them.

"No I'm not hurt. I'm sorry. I did not think I was that forceful."

Then Pash narrowed her eyes mischievously at him.

"Or perhaps you wanted to be on the grass with me on top of you?"

Ah, she had such a way with words. He could already feel his face heating up. Trying his best to keep that accursed blush down, he gave a mischievous grin.

"Hrmm...I don't know. While you were my first kiss, I doubt we have a good enough relationship to try doing this kind of thing together...And in public, too? Just think of our reputations, miss Pash!"

Cue a dramatic hand upon his forehead. He really should have taken acting classes. Drama or something...Though it probably would have cut into his gym time.

"My my *giggle* how quickly your mind has jumped to the gutter. Many boys are happy with just a girl lying on them with out going any further than that."

Then she watched him place his hand on his forehead dramatically.

"Haha, are you really so distraught about me being on you? Alight then, lets get up, before your *giggle* delicate sensibilities get too bothered by the ordeal."

She got up and then extended an arm to Spike.

"Yeah, well..blame Puberty. Damn hormones, and all that. And besides, rumors can spread and...well, as I said. It could just ruin us."

Taking her arm, the boy pulled himself up and began to dust his clothes off.

"And besides, I'll fully admit I liked it. It reminds me of when you and I had that little sparring match....It was a fun time." Though what parts were fun were completely up to personal preference. He'd rather forget the time with the Dash Hoop, thank you very much. He didn't care what people said, that gadget saved his ass numerous times, dangit!

"Oh, you fully admit it? Haha, I thought you were going to blush and get all flustered before admitting that."

"Ah I remember that day well," said Pash thinking of that hula hoop of his but knowing he would prefer that particular not get mentioned. "So, just curious, what was your favorite part then?"

"Hrmm....Honestly, the whole thing was kinda fun. Though dealing with that teddy bear was...intriguing. I don't think I wanna know what would have happened if I hadn't broken free....My guess is it would have been very...cutesy." He made a face, acting disgusted at the mere thought of such things.

"But hey, it was good to see how I stood up against you...Even though I got my butt handed to me." A laugh escaped the boy. "I can take on an army of monkeys...But a cute girl does me in. Jake would be teasing me for hours if he knew!"

"Oh? You mean... THIS TEDDY BEAR!?" she said as she slung it off her shoulders and started aggressively shoving it's face into his.

"Rar! Rarrrr! Rarrrr!" she went while giggling.

"Ah, you really see that day as a loss for you? *sigh* clearly you don't know a good thing when you get one. As for your friend, well, I'm pretty sure he would only be teasing you because of how *giggle* jealous he would be if he knew."

"Gah!"

Spike jumped back as the teddy bear was shoved in his face, before laughing. "Yes, that one....And I see it as a loss in the sense that I was defeated. I still have you have a friend. And..Well, I could think of worse ways to be defeated."

"*giggle* I'm sure you could, but could that creative brain of yours think of a *giggle* better way to be defeated? Hmmmmm?" asked Pash, her voice filled with mischief.

"Hm..." Turning around, he leaned backwards, slowly applying his weight upon his compatriot. "Perhaaaaps. Though I don't know..Being kissed into a Coma seemed pretty nice, I must say...."

"Perhaps, quickly followed by I don't know? *Sigh* Impossible to get a straight answer out of you sometimes you know? *giggle*"

Pash then became very much aware of him leaning into her, which caught her off guard. I mean, she has see boys try all sorts of moves on her in the past, but this was a first.

"Ummm, heheh, Spike? You know the whole leaning into someone... That is a move usually used by girls on boys, not the other way around... you know that right?"

"Hrmm?" He continued to lean for a few more seconds, before straightening up, his face a bright pink. "Ah...G-Good to know." Clearing his throat, he looked about, trying to think of a way to change the subject. "Do you...wanna grab some food?"

"Awww, you like me and don't quite know how to deal with your gushy feelings for me. Eeeeee, that's just too cute for me."

"But you know that because of my, well special affliction, yeah let's call it that, that we can't ever be more than than friends."

"But the best I can do is let you practice interacting with a girl so that we won't be a bumbly mess when you meet a sweet girl who likes you. Does that sound good to you?"

"And sure, I would love some food. I have no problems with a boy buying me food *giggle*."

Ah yes..That affliction of hers. "I was actually wondering if you're doing alright. I'm sure that it's gotta be a pain dealing with that."

Crossing his arms, he got to thinking. "Hrmm..What kind of food would you be down for? My treat, of course."
