| [Spike gets a 5% increase in chance to hit, having got a better idea of how they work through 2 throws. He has a 35% chance to hit the target.]
Spike throws the third dart. It flies through the air, looks like it is on course to hit, but then when it landed it fell just short of the the target.
[60 - fail]
"Awwww, that was so close! I'm sure you will get the next one!"

| Two shots had missed. At the very least, he had managed to get the first shot. Twirling a dart in his hands, he threw with all his strength. "Here we go! Two shots left!" | |

| [an extra +5% for more experience. He now has a 40% chance to hit]
He throws the 4th dart. The near miss of the last throw giving him a bit more confidence in this next throw. Sadly, this throw was not as good as the last one. The dart flew right over the target. He had greatly overshot it.
[42 - fail]
"Come on Spike! I know you can get the last one!"

| Alright. This was it. His last shot. And Pash was counting on him. He took a deep breath. Doing his best to calm his nerves. With a grunt, he threw his final dart, praying it'd hit. | |

| [Another +5% gained from the experience]
Spike takes a deep breath and give it a throw. The dart flies up in the air, soaring majestically, reaches it's peak, and begins its decent towards the target. Alas, as beautiful as its flight was, it completely failed to hit the target.
[39 - fail]
"Ah, well, at least you got the one, right?"

| "Yeah...At least you got the hat." As the vendor handed him the hat, he placed it upon her head. Or tried to. "Well...I'm sure we boys normally don't gift you girls hats, but hey. It's the thought that counts." | |

| Pash bowed down appreciatively with her hands on her kneecaps as Spike put the cap on her head.
"Why thank you Spike. It is a lovely gift."
Pash stood back up straight, unslung her backpack, and took out a hair band.
"*giggle* While I do appreciate you putting the cap on me, and it was a sweet gesture, you should keep in mind our hair the next time you put a hat on a girl."
She took off the cap, tied her hair into a pony tail. Then she threaded her pony tail through the gap in the back of the cap and put it back on her head. The cap was a simple one. It was white and it was embroidered with 'Smithson Sports Festival' and had a little pair of sneakers next to the words. The embroidery was a pastel green.
"Ah, there we go. See, this is how you wear a cap as a girl *giggle* So, I got to ask, cute?," she asked as she struck a pose with one hand on the brim of the cap as she held a wink and smile.

| As he watched her adjust her hair and place the cap back on, properly this time from what he could tell, he gave her a thumbs up, a grin making it's way to his face.
"You look adorable. Though I don't think I'll ever understand what the big deal is when it comes to hair and the like. You look fine no matter what, in my opinion."

| While he had given her the thumbs up, it was that goofy grin that crept on his face that gave her the undeniable proof she needed that she was indeed pulling the look off.
"Why thank you for your compliment," she giggled
"*giggle* Well I guess it is more of a girl thing, but if you wear a hat without sorting out your hair first, it just becomes a mess. Next you know, you have hair clumping up against parts of your head, hair going into your eyes and ears, then when you take off the cap after wearing it for a while, it is an absolute disaster with your hair flat here and clumped up there."
"So I guess as a boy..." and she stopped as her eyes drifted to his own hair.
"Wait, shouldn't you understand where I'm coming from, especially with hair like that? I mean, how much time do you spend in the morning to get your hair to look like that?"

| Ah. So that's why she had to try and fix up her hair. That made some sense to the boy. Crossing his arms, he nodded, taking in all she was saying.
At her own question, he stopped, face scrunched up in thought. "It...depends. Sometimes I wake up and it's messy enough to where I just have to spend a few minutes in the bathroom. Other times...Other times, I actually have to be in there for a while. And there's always those few times where it stays like this. All night. So I wake up and I don't have to do anything to it."
There was also that one time he thought sticking a fork into an electrical socket would help. Thankfully, he was stopped before it got...too bad. Took him weeks to get that damned smoke smell out of his clothes, though.

| "Wait, you mean to tell me your hair looks like that just naturally? Like you mean to tell me you don't have like kilograms worth of hair product in your hair right now to make it look like that?"
Pash leaned forward to take a closer look at his hair.

| Spike said nothing. Instead, he looked up at his hair to the best of his ability. It did indeed look like that naturally. He had no idea how it worked. It just did. | |

| "I can't believe it. Girls spend hours sitting in a hair stylist's chair to get their hair into styles much simpler than yours and here you are, getting getting out of bed looking like that."
"Well, whatever the case, you said you wanted to get the chance to just hang out with friends right? Well, here you are, hanging out with a friend. What do you imagine you doing with friends when you have been thinking about hanging out? I want to make this a special day for you."

| "A special day, huh?" He scratched his head. "Well..Jake and I used to have races. But other than that...I don't know. I just imagined hanging out, talking, playing games, that kind of thing." | |

| "Well, I'm a bit old to be running around in a race without looking silly. But I'd be happy to talk. What would you like to talk about?" she asked as she walked over to a park bench. | |

| Strolling on over to the bench, he put a hand on his chin in thought. "Hrmm..Any interesting stories you have to share? I'm sure you've been through your fair share of adventures and the like!" | |

| "Ooof, now there is a lot of ground to cover."
"Well, let me give you a quick summary and then you can tell me what you are most interested in. So my story can be divided into a few chapters. There is the before I became Passion Lips part, the becoming Passion Lips part, the scared and clueless about how to deal with my abilities part, the trying to make it home part, the angsty and broody part, the learning how to make the most of it part, and then that brings us to modern Pash.
"So, which of those, *giggle* chapters sounds the coolest to you?"

| Spike crossed his arms in thought, sitting upon the bench. All those chapters certainly sounded interesting. "While I'd love to hear the story from the beginning...I guess we could start with you becoming Passion Lips. That or learning how to make the most of it." | |

| "Hmmm, now that I think about it, I probably should have called that chapter becoming a midara as opposed to becoming Passion Lips. Becoming Passion Lips technically did not happen until a good deal after I became a midara."
"Ah well, it's not the most happy of stories, but I'll give you a quick summary of things. I used to be a regular girl. You know, no magical powers or nothing. One day, when I was, hmmm, about you age I guess. A little younger if you want to be exact, but close enough..."
"Anyways, around that time of my life, I got kidnapped by a witch. She bound me up with some kind of magic and then teleported me to her... I guess you could call it her lair. I don't know how long I was her prisoner, but it seemed like forever. I was pretty much always tied up. I was experimented on. I could not used the bathroom except when she wanted me to... Yeah, it was pretty bad."
"And you are probably waiting for me to tell you the part when she decided to turn me into a midara, but funny enough, that was not actually her goal. See, she wanted to turn herself into a midara. I was just an ingredient for the ritual."
"So the day came when she finally decided that all the pieces were in place. Not that I had any say in the matter mind you. She tied me up to some type of altar and she started doing all manner of incantations. There were all sorts of dazzling effects and various colored lights. It was, in all honest, a very beautiful sight. I probably would have enjoyed it more if I were not tied up and so sure that it was finally my day to die."
"Then when it was all said and done however, I was surprised to find myself still alive. My bindings, they much have been magic, had faded away as well. I got off the altar very cautiously, worried that the witch was going to punish me for doing something she did not tell me to do. When it because clear the beating was not coming, I moved over to where she was."
"Lo and behold, she was dead on the floor. And there I was, with this weird feeling in my body. I'll never forget that moment when I became aware of it. You know how when you eat a very healthy meal full of nutrition you feel like you got all this extra energy all of a sudden? Well it was kind of like that. Kind of. Point being I had this new source of energy inside of me."
"So yeah, that was pretty much how that happened. Any details you feel I might of left out?"

| "...." Spike went through...a lot of different emotions. Sadness. Anger. Shock. It felt like watching a movie. Just with considerably less explosions.
"So...The spell backfired? And I'm going to assume that somehow, the witch's energy was drained...And given to you. Am I close? I am sorry for bringing this up, though..Doubt it's very pleasant to talk about."

| "I honestly don't know the details. The best theory I got on the matter is that this was a serious one of a kind freak accident. I can't say I got her power either. I mean, I can't do the things she did. All my abilities only seem to deal with charming people one way or another. She was able to do all sorts of stuff with magic."
"Haha, nah, don't worry about it. If I don't want to talk about it, I assure you I won't. So yeah, my turn to ask for a story, no? So tell me, what was the happiest day of your life?"

| He frowned at her comments. Were that witch still alive, he'd probably try and beat her up. At least Pash didn't seem too upset about it.
At her words, Spike closed his eyes tightly, face scrunched in thought before one certain memory came to him. "The High-Tech Tournament! A few of my friends and I went to take part in it. That's where I met Helga. She was the previous champion. Unfortunately, Specter and his gang crashed it, but it was still fun. Instead of fighting, we all took part in a bunch of games."

| "High tech tournament? Helga? Your mortal enemy was there as well? No fighting? Just a bunch of games."
"Haha Spike, we have got to work on your story telling abilities. You know that you are raising more questions than answering them right now right?"
