A New Flower in the Garden

The threat, the grim expression, the single finger that she knows that is deadly in itself, and the fact that she is very powerful. All of that combined causes her to absolutely panic as she shrieks and jumps back as a lot of things ends up happening at once: A wall of flowers and leaves surrounded her, followed by a wall of vines, and finally a wall of bark, the last is something she has never created ever before. You can hear terrified sobbing within the triple wall of flora. "IamnothurtingherIjustwantherhelpandtohelpherdon'thurtme!"

"That's all I needed," she stated softly, losing every trace of her intimidating visage. She pressed her hand against the bark and with a few quietly uttered words, all three layers of protection faded into dust. (Maybelle, I don't feel so good...)
"Sorry for scaring you so much," she said sincerely. "I wanted to make sure you weren't hiding any ulterior motives."
Orianna came rushing out of the house with a few items in her arms. "What's happening? Did someone attack Maybelle?"

As soon as Orianna appeared, Maybelle scooted behind her before looking at Adrianna with fear, her body visibly trembling. Apparently the initial terror worked entirely too well that the assurance wasn't enough to calm the poor alraune. "I am not...wanting to hurt her."

"I guess I went a little too far," she said, not really answering her question.
"Look at her, she paralyzed!" Orianna snapped, turning around to give Maybelle a hug. "Here, Maybelle..."
Adri sighed and walked into the house to retrieve the rest of the items based off what Orianna brought out when she rushed to Maybelle's side.

She felt much safer within Orianna's arm and hugs her tightly in return. The trembling started to subside as she starts to calm down from having the petals scared out of her. "She wanted to...protect you." Maybelle finally is able to say something of the matter and of what was the cause of the incident.

"So that's it..." Orianna muttered, rubbing Maybelle's back. "I don't need any more people watching out for me. I've enough prying eyes to keep anyone thinking twice for a long time." Needless to say, she wasn't happy with Adrianna, though she wasn't as mad as she initially was.
"Alright, that's all of it. Now, I'm going to need an hour to brew something from all this," Adrianna stated, returning with several objects hovering by her head.

Maybelle's breath finally still to somewhat of a normal pace. She is slightly fidgety when she hears Adrianna's voice rang from the house again. It will be a lot longer before Maybelle would be at ease with the witch alone again. Looking over at what she brought with her within the safety of Orianna's proximity. "What...are you brewing?"

"You want to be able to fight like a Midara, right? Unfortunately that body of yours doesn't have the capabilities naturally, what I'm brewing should be able to change that," she answered. She took all the items into her own home, inviting the two in should they want to come inside.
For Maybelle it'd be a matter of preference, most likely. Would she rather be inside with one scary person or outside, where she and Orianna would have constant curious eyes watching them from multiple angles.

After what happened from the last time, she was pretty hesitant from going in the building alone with Adrianna and would much prefer to be near Orianna whether going in or not. She look over to the vampire princess. "Should we...go in?""

"I'm not going to force you inside if you don't want to," she told her. "Whatever you decide, I'll be right here with you." The voices of the individuals hiding in the dark grew louder the moment Adrianna mentioned Maybelle's not being a Midara.

Maybe looks about the the voices within the woods, suddenly aware of them as they grow louder and Adraiana's presense is now inside. Again she hides behind Orianna as she looks about, unable to make out what they are and, frankly, becoming more scared, the same feeling that prey is being appraised by several predators. "W-w-what are ...t-t-they?"

"They are Midara," she told her calmly, not even an inch frightened by them. "They all live here. In this deep forest is a Sanctuary Adrianna has been building up for Midara who want to stay safe. They're just curious."

Looking at Orianna, she doesn't seem worried so she somewhat relaxes while listening to her explanation before thinking for a moment. "S-so...they are kind of like me except...being midaras?" The fear was slowly becoming a bit of curiosity but still the alraune errs on the side of caution. "T-there are...so many."

"A lot of Midara in the world," Orianna returned.
"Hey, move over!"
"Excuse us!"
Two Slime Girls emerged from the darkness, eyeing Maybelle with a starry-eyed curiosity. One was red and smelled distinctly like raspberries, whilst the other was blue, smelling more like blueberries. Both seemed to have a more young teens look to them, being shorter and charming than other Midara. "Is it true you're not a Midara, lady?" the red one asked.
"But you're not a human, lady!" the blue one prodded.

The pair of voices startled her as she turned towards the voices as the pair of (fruity) slimegirls slid over to Orianna and Maybelle, mostly to Maybelle. She doesn't usually talk to slimegirls much in her world and haven't even met them in this world so she is a bit of a loss on how to react especially since they start throwing questions that she doesn't know how to answer. "B--but I thought there are..others that aren't humans that are not...midaras either? Dragons, griffins, dwarves." Maybelle end up asking more than she is answering the pair of slimegirls.

The two girls looked amongst themselves and asked each other, "There are?"
"Are you sure?" they asked her in turn, without skipping a beat.
Orianna was hoping some social interaction would help pass the time, so she let the two Slime Girls continue.

"W-w-well, from...where I am. Y-you do not have...as many beings that are so...amorous. Most succubi, nymphs, driders, are. Aren't there...bugbears and gnolls...in the wood?" She tries using species from her world to see if it rings any bells to the slimegirl pairs, learning of what she can in this world she is trapped in.

The two simultaneously crooked their heads a bit in confusion. "What are those?"
Orianna eyed them for a moment, having thought initially that their young appearances we're merely aesthetic, however it seemed as if these slimes were genuinely young, at least mentally. "There are creatures like that in the world, but it's likely Adrianna cleared out harmful species from this forest to turn this place into a sanctuary," she told Maybelle.

"...well...a bugbear is like ...a very large and very furry, hobgoblin...that are very ill-tempered...but not very smart. Gnolls are like...walking hyena that really likes to...hunt and fight." She looks over to Orianna. "I don't like them...myself but they were still part of...the ecosystem in my home."

It seemed as though the explanation of what Bugbears and Gnolls were confused the twins even further. "Excuse Misa and Mina, they've lived in the sanctuary since they were tiny dribbles of slime." Adrianna had emerged from her home with a small vial of a hot pink substance in her left hand. "The brew is ready!"

Goodness, already? She didn't realized that she was conversing with the slimegirls that long. At the very least, she has opened up to them. Maybelle looks a bit cautiously at the vial that Adrianna is holding. "...s-so, it would give me... the means to use midara abilities?"

"Yes and no. On it's own, this vial would be a temporary means, but paired with one other thing, it can be permanent," she answered. She lifted a finger as colorful sparks danced around it. "If I outline a mark somewhere, anywhere on your body before giving you the vial and activate when you drink this potion, you'll have the capabilities to defend yourself with charms."

It didn't take too long before Maybelle made an educated guess of the brew's purpose. "...t-then...it is a catalyst..of a sort?" At the very least, she isn't as scared as before that she is willing to hold out her hand for the brew.

"Pretty good!" Adri said with a small smile, Handing the vial to Maybelle. "Come on in and let's get that magic mark on you."

There is still a slight anxiety with her in regards to Adrianna that didn't quite disappear but now it isn't as prevalent that would prevent Maybelle from walking in alone, albeit still nervously. She turns behind and gives Orianna a brief smile before finally walking in.
