Too much on his Mind

"......." Robin's face went red, steam billowing from his ears. "M-Maybe some day."

"Hey, maybe add your self to the shipping list." She suggested playfully. She scarved down her pancakes and sides rather quickly, possibly from her being able to talk and eat but the sheer quantity that she eats contrast her tiny frame. "So what are you thinking about doing after this?"

"Oh? Are you implying you'd want to ship with me?" It was an attempt to try and fluster her. She wanted to play this game, he could try his hand as well. "I'm not sure, honestly."

"...maybe. Think you can handle it? wink" Hehe seems like he is trying to retaliate. But she is sure she got the advantage on this field.

"Hmm a man without a plan, let's fix that up then. What are your long term goals?" She wants to piece together what she knows of him through the glance of his mind that she is allow to but wanted him to figure it out himself. It doesn't help as much if she makes a walkthrough guide for his life.

"I've handled armies. I think I can take my chances." Grinning, he began to dig into his meal with gusto. "As for my plans...Aside from getting back home, which may or may not happen, I'd love to settle down, start a family...Maybe write a book or two."

She leans forward, getting a bit close to him while staring at him with those clear blue eyes, still wearing that grin on her lips. "Armies is one thing but having a good looking girl have you in her hands and
turn you into putty is another. Think you can handle being Robin, the lovesick strategist?" She decides to raise the steak, though she does have her boundaries as she isn't really wanting to charm him. Of course she is going to end up leaving an impression like this though.

He could feel a blush making it's way to his face, his throat suddenly feeling rather dry...And yet, there was a bit of excitement to be had. He was enjoying this little duel they were having. "Depends..Do you truly think you can turn me into putty? If so, feel free to try."

Her expression doesn't change but you can hear her mental voice drop an octave and becoming more husky. "Oh but I already done that to you, my song bird, and you will be singing my name." She places a finger under his chin and tilts it upward, she works her magic words around him, to get him to become a stuttering mess. She isn't going to use her psychic skills though, that is no fun.

Oh wow. The room..seemed to heat up a few degrees. And Robin was mentally stuttering before trying his damnedest to calm down and focus. "Really now? I'm a tough nut to crack, my dear. You'd have to try pretty hard to make me sing for you." If he could resist Tharja's....whatever you could call her advances, maybe he had a chance?

Abigail looks like she is about to take things up a notch with that look on her face before... "Hehe, nice." Her happy-go-lucky voice is back . "You at least got that far against me, though you definitely were about to crack. Tweet tweet!" She finally backed-up and relented from her attack.

"...." Robin fell flat on his face, steam erupting once more from his ears. "You tease..Toying with a young man's heart like that. A bit more and I could have had you."

"Hehe, sorry but you took the challenge." She starts to move the empty dishes into stacks for Lisette to easily collect later on. Needed to make sure you are prepared to resist that, it will come up a lot. Her friendly tone in his mind returns.

"Oh? Because of other Midara, I assume." Finishing his meal, he placed the dishes there, wiping his mouth. "Or one of your friends in IDOL?"

"Midaras aren't the only one that can melt your heart into slushies anymore. There are a lot of girls that are taking it up now, at least in this region. As for IDOL, many of them can be able to do that without using any special abilities. However it is a lot more subtle than what I just did. She explains waving to Lisette as the waitress comes over to pick up the dishes before Abigail, fishes out some rectangle currency and hands it to Lisette.

Robin stared curiously at the money, before looking back at her. "I see...Tell me, are there any ways for me to prove myself to IDOL? As for girls..I have not really ran into many girls who have pulled that kind of stunt with me, aside from one who was...training me to resist charms, for lack of a better description."

"Well it depends on what you want to do in IDOL.  Now that I should mention this, any personnel either need to be able to take care of themselves or escorted by personnel that can.  Otherwise they have to stay within building.  Not just talking about the charm stuff, we have had actual attacks on us that are meant to harm.

Ahh,  the girl is making progress?  I guess you are trying to train so you don't end up turning against your allies  She wrinkles her nose  Having that happen really sucks and can actually be traumatizing as well...

Abigail crosses her arms over her chest before, eyes closing for a moment as she starts to think. "Let me see. The two thinks that you want in the long term is:

1. Get rid of Grima and when I mean get rid, I do mean the knife version, not the boot. But to take a dragon of that calibur alone is suicide not to mention Grima gets free vacancy, so you will need allies. You said you got some but having more as well as knowing of what they do.

2. You want to go home, preferably when problem 1 is solved. You cannot do it yourself. Astral connection is very difficult and a handful of people can do that reliably. So you will need to extend your knowing of who can do such stuff and the resources to be able to do that.

So...you need networking and word weaving skills.

"Connecting with a lot of people. More people you know, and more people you are acquainted with and they can either direct you to those that can help you, or can help direct. Though if you say that your words is not as eloquent, well you now have a direction for a skill to improve! It will also help you with your strategist background as well, learning to communicate is as important as learning to advise." She suggests, outlining the potential benefits of improving his orator speech. "Plus you can even kick start troop morales."

Her words rang true. Though he had been good at directing his troops, actually talking could be a bit..awkward at times. He remembered when Maribelle tried teaching him how to be more proper and noble-like...and how she butchered the "language of commoners" as she called it. "That is true. Thank you, miss Abigail!"

"Keep missing me and someone else is going to get hit." She sticks her tongue out at him playfully. "I know of a person that can help with that but unfortunately she's on a diplomatic mission at the moment. Apparently having a gazillion of different skills makes her a busy rabbit."

"....." Getting an idea, he pointed to her cheek. "Oh hey..You have some food on your cheek." He leaned in, grinning....before poking and prodding at it with a napkin. "Oh really now? Interesting."

"Huh oh thanks!" Surprise and grateful tone punctuate her tone with the response to his napkin cleaning. She saw the grin and knew what he is trying to do but is playing dumb to throw him off guard. "She is a Jill of all trade girl but her main forte is public speeches and communications. Sadly she is going to be gone for a month or bit less or I would refer you to her." Sad smile follows the slightly bad news.
