Leon vs The Eastern Kingdom

"Yep," Leon answered, sounding happier and prouder then he should of, but it finally worked for him. Seeing if this 'streak' of spells that usually don't work working, he tried to create a tread of rope around her from the other side of the wall.

Leon's happiness was short lived as his opponent's leg suddenly smashed through his barrier. Before he could get over his shock, her other leg struck him in the side.


Leon: 29 Willpower + 10 Mana
Mei-Mei: 30 Stamina

Of course, he couldn't be happy with his spells doing their job, any time it happens it seems to backfire or get canceled out in the next moments. Sighing, Leon launched a blade of wind at his opponent.

(Cutting Gale)

The wind spell slammed into the woman with enough force to send her flying across the throne room.

"So you can do things other than hide." Mei-Mei said with a grin as she landed on her feet.

Leon: 29 Willpower + 10 Mana
Mei-Mei: 28 Stamina

Leon says nothing in return, only sending another blade to try keeping her at a range.

The second wind spell struck her but Mei-Mei stood her ground. The woman then blew a kiss and fired a blast of Love Magic from her lips at Leon. The energy struck him and filled him with a warm fuzzy feeling.

Leon: 27 Willpower + 10 Mana + Charmed
Mei-Mei: 26 Stamina

"Of course you have a ranged skill," Leon complains as he sends a fireball at her, still assuming she was more 'dangerous' up close.

Mei-Mei opened her mouth to respond only to burst into flames. She immediately dropped to the floor and rolled on the ground until she put herself out.


Leon: 27 Willpower + 10 Mana + Charmed
Mei-Mei: 24 Stamina

Leon continued his onslaught of projectiles, sending another fireball her direction.

(Chain Trap -roll 39- Fail!)

Mei-Mei let out a cry of pain as the fireball struck her. She swung her arm and a metal chain flew out of her oversized sleeve that just barely missed hitting her opponent.


Leon: 27 Willpower + 10 Mana + Charmed
Mei-Mei: 22 Stamina

Leon stepped back, thinking he knew the range of her hidden chain as he sent another fireball towards her.

The martial artist dodged his spell and quickly approached him. She didn't attack him however, instead her fighting stance had relaxed as she eyed him intently.

Mei-Mei: 22 Stamina + Counter Stance(3)

Leon stepped back, assuming this was some sort of trap to get him in the previously seen chains, sending yet another fireball towards her.

Mei-Mei dodged around his spell and placed a quick kiss on his cheek. She then backed off and took a deep breath.



Leon: 24 Willpower + 10 Mana
Mei-Mei: 23 Stamina + Counter Stance(2) + Deep Breathing

Seeing how easily she dodged his last attacks, also managing to land a kiss on him, Leon tried a different attack that would be harder to avoid and/or counter.

(Light Burst)

A startled cry of pain let Leon know that his spell had worked as intended.



Leon: 24 Willpower + 10 Mana
Mei-Mei: 23 Stamina + Counter Stance(1)

Hearing this, Leon tried to push his spell even further, both in range and intensity.

Leon pushed his spell too far and blinded himself. This left him wide open to receive another kiss from his opponent.



Leon: 21 Willpower + 10 Mana
Mei-Mei: 23 Stamina

As he regained his sight, he attempted to send two spears of ice towards her as soon as he saw her.

(Lip Blast -roll 20- Success! Charm -roll 21- Fail!)

Mei-Mei evaded on spear only to be struck by the other. She countered by blowing a kiss and fired a blast of pink energy from her lips that struck the mage.


Leon: 19 Willpower + 10 Mana
Mei-Mei: 21 Stamina

Trying to keep this a ranged battle, feeling that he has a better chance of winning if he does so, or at least a better chance than an up-close battle, Leon sends a ball of flames flying towards Mei-Mei.

The martial artist tried to leap over the spell, but ended up getting her foot singed for her efforts.

Mei-Mei: 20 Stamina

Leon continued his attack, sending another fireball towards her, this one slightly higher then the last incase she tried jumping over it again.

Leon's spell exploded in his face, which actually saved him from getting caught in the chain the martial artist launched from her sleeve.

"Third times the charm," Leon thought as he once more sent a fireball towards the woman.
