Brin vs. Neo

Bored.

He walks in, scanning his surroundings, his hand on his sword, his shield already drawn.

There's a lady sitting on a pile of stolen goods, parasol in hand. She grins when she sees him, closing her parasol and pointing its tip at him.

He immediately spots her. It was obvious that she was the thief that the contract told him about, but was she really so unafraid of someone coming to take her in that she just sat there and smirked at him? No matter how cute she was, Brin had a job to do, and it was time to get to work. He draws his sword and begins the fight.

Basic Cutter: 18. Success! She's hit, but doesn't seem to be outwardly affected aside from the knockback. As she recovers, a phantasmal clone of Neo appears next to her. The original winks at Brin and blows him a kiss.

He was absolutely shocked at the appearance of a second girl. He was so taken aback, he lost himself in the cute wink and the kiss she blew. He quickly shook it off, and brandished his blade for his next attack.

Blade Combo: 92. Critical hit! The phantasm takes the hit, shattering into what looks like shards of glass. Neo pouts.

With newfound determination, Brin decides a different approach. He brandishes his shield in front of him and attempts to fortify his defenses.

Shield Protection: 64. Success! He hardens his defenses.

Neo frowns and goes back on the offensive, grabbing at him.

Taste Test: 15. Fail! But her Aura is restored, at least.

Brin: 25
Neo: 26 HP, 4 Aura

With his defense temporarily strengthened, he decides that it's time for him to use a much riskier strike.

(Starlight Slash)

Starlight Slash: 79. Fail! He fumbles, falling prone before the temptress and her illusory clone.

They grin maliciously and try to go in for more smooches.

Taste Test: 97. Fail! But at least they get another clone.

Bewildered by the appearance of another cute girl, all three smiling down at him, filled him with a little fear and anticipation. He backs off and goes for another slash
