Having recovered a little, Flynn got to his feet as he replied, “Yeah, everything is fine.”

"Flynn was giving a demonstration on how effect his cursed based magic is." Sonya explained as she pushed herself off of the floor.

"Cursed? That sounds, unpleasant." the queen noted.

“And likewise, she was demonstrating how effective swinging around a big sword is,” Flynn commented.

"As expected of my first knight." the queen said with a bit of a sigh.

“So, are they able to summon that slime?” Flynn asked.

"No," the queen answered with a shake of her head, "but we are able to track its movements. She seems to have fled from the kingdom for the time being."

“And are you guys going to rush it like last time or wait and try to locate where it’s base is?” Flynn asked.

"You assume she has a home?" the queen asked with a tilt of her head.

“Not necessarily a home, but it having some sort of base or hideout is a fair assumption,” Flynn says, “Where else would it be putting the people it has taken?”

"Worst case? It's been completely dissolving them." the queen answered sadly.

“It only seemed like it could absorb liquids, so dissolving them is probably out of the question, so the worst case would more be sucking them dry of any liquid inside of them,” Flynn states.

"Even that would still be fatal." the queen remarked with a worried look. "I'll see what we can do about finding her base."

“Relax a little, that last part was mostly a joke. All three of us that fought it were in it at some point, and none of us noticed our insides being absorbed,” Flynn replied.

"That's a relief, at least." the queen replied with a sigh. "Um, Flynn, was it? What are you planning on doing now?"

“After hearing of the state a majority of your troops are in, I was going to offer my service, for a price of course, to teach them how to use curses so they could actually be used,” Flynn answered.

"Oh, well, that's delightful." the queen replied with a smile. "What price were you thinking of?"

“It somewhat depends on the quality of your troops, but all I’m looking for price wise is not too high, but high enough to live a comfortable life,” Flynn says.

"I supposed that depends on what you mean by comfortable." The queen remarked with a tilt of her head. "What you mean could be as simple as a roof over your head, or so, so much more."

“A house in a quiet location that isn’t too far away from wherever I’ll be teaching.” Flynn said, “A pay enough to rent or buy that, and a little extra for anything I may need to buy.”

"That sounds reasonable." the Queen replied with a nod. "I'll see if we have a place that suites you."

“So I take it you’ll be accept my service,” Flynn says, since she hasn’t confirmed it yet.

"Yes." the queen told him with a charming smile.

“Then I guess while you find a suitable house, I’ll go collect the belongings I’ll need from my current residence,” Flynn replies.

"And where is that?" The queen asked with a tilt of her head. "Will you need any help moving your things?"
