Lily Wahcea in the Gilded City

Lily had finally made it to Rollatia, the famed Gilded City. Just at first glance, it lived up to its reputation of incredible wealth. There was little doubt that it also lived up to its reputation of having one of the largest sex industries in the known world. But Lily wasn't here for money or indulgence, she was here for a mythical book that was rumored to reveal different knowledge for each and evey person that opened it, a book known to be in the custody of the Merchant Queen of Rollatia.

Lily smiled at the city as she sighed looking at all the areas to hide and learn as she slowly began to move towards crowds to hide herself and listen for information about the city, she'd need to learn everything she could before she could form her plan

"Hey, cat ears. Welcome to Rollatia. Feel like taking a survey? It's about your kinks and preferences, it simply wants you to list them, it helps inform further city development. What do you say?" Lily was immediately approached by a talkative woman holding a notepad, she seemed courteous, although her question was incredibly nosy.

Lily squeaked trying to act natural as she rubbed her head "That seems very sudden...is this normal?"

"It is normal, it's one of the things the mayor ordered. I ask all of the new adventurers this question, at least all the ones I see, so don't feel like you're being singled out." She kindly explained, hoping to encourage Lily to answer.

Lily think about it for a second thinking she would draw attention if she didn't so she nodded writing down that she liked taller partners and kisses hoping the small information was enough not wanting to mention her enjoyment of being pet or treated similar to one

"Thank you for filling out the survey! Oooo, height difference and kissing, I like it. I can't think of a place in town that doesn't have tall girls working, but there's a place called 'Pucker Up' where you can have all the kisses you could ever want. Stop by if you're looking to have some fun, and here's some pocket change as thanks for being a good sport. Bye now, duty calls." The woman stowed away Lily's response before spotting another adventurer and going to ask them presumably the same question.

Lily sighed hoping if she was being watched she didn't look strange as she decided to look around again to get some information on her target

Lily could barely get her bearing in the massive city before being approached by a saleswoman. "Oh my gosh, you are so cute! If I pay you, would you wear this little bow in your hair for the rest of the day and let people know you got it from 'Simple Accessories'? I think it'd look perfect on you." She seemed smitten with Lily at first sight, offering her a cute pink bowtie with hearts that could fit in the palm of her hand.

Lily squeaked at the sudden woman as she listened to her offer as she thought about it "um...how much would you pay ma'am?" She may be a theif and ninja but money is money and a bow isn't that bad

"I'll give you 15 Gold and the bow. But, if you accept, you have to wear it for the rest of the day, it's part of the deal. Come on, I want to see you in it, pretty please?" The woman was begging at this point, but she didn't seem like she would force Lily at all.

Alita nodded slowly before smiling "Well i don't see why it would be a problem i guess...some extra gold never hurt" as she thought to herself the less intimidating she looked the easier information could reach her

She put the bow in Lily's hair, then stepped back to admire her. "Ooooo, it's perfect, especially with your cute little cat ears! Here you go, actually, you can take extra. Consider it a gift from me. See you around!"

(As long as Lily wears the bow, her opponents gain the ability to use a move where they pet Lily's ears that deals 2 damage.)

Alita adjusted the bow to make it comfortable smiling at the extra gold as she looks around again for information realizing she keeps getting distracted

Lily began wandering around, but overheard someone saying they got directions from a lady in the town square. That seemed like a good place to start, right?

Lily smiled and walked towards the town square aiming to find the lady hoping to get some basic landmarks she could use as a waypoint for her search

The musician waved Lily off as she departed, happy that she listened for at least a little while. She saw the large fountain that marked the town square, and a woman in a suit giving a couple directions. Seemed like Lily found her goal.

Lily smirked as she walked up and held up her hand "Oh hello ma'am, can you tell me some places in this town? i only just arrived..."

"I'd be delighted to. This is the Square, smack dab in the middle of Rollatia. Many residential areas are centered here and to the North, Town Hall is just over there. To the West is where there's most of the straightforward businesses in Rollatia: farmer's markets, blacksmiths, tailors, everything a city needs and them some, many of them run by the Merchant Queen. To the East is where people go to have fun, good hearted fun and a little sexual deviance. It's a bit dangerous, however, as that's where the Queenpin's gang likes to prowl.

Lily nodded and pulled out a small notebook to write down the information before smiling to the woman "well thank you so much! would you also be able to tell me about the merchant queen and queenpin gang?" Any and all information would be perfect for the ninja and she wanted it all

"Sure. The Merchant Queen is the richest woman in this already rich city. Her power and influence are substantial, and she's always looking to make more money. The Queenpin runs the criminal underworld, and has virtually all of the sex shops of the east side in her pocket. They're both tough customers, be careful around them." The woman kindly explained to the ninja, her eyes kept going back to her bow and cat ears.

Lily nodded and wrote down the information she was given as she smiled and looked at the woman "Anything else you can tell me about the town? like rumors or legends?"

"Oh, there's not much to tell, other than that many believe the Mayor, the Merchant Queen, the Police Commissioner, and the Queenpin are all close associates, although there's little concrete evidence." The woman seemed like she had shared all she knew. As she talked, she had begun gently patting Lily's head, unable to resist her cuteness.
