Cheri vs. Cupidity

Seeing her bullets seeming to weaken, Cheri switched up what she was firing again and aimed for the non scaly parts of the naga.

Change to Poison Bullet —> Focused Fire

(Focused Fire -roll [7, 45]- Fail!)
(Struggle -roll 17- Fail!)


Once again, Cheri's bullet failed to pierce the ice she trapped her opponent in.



Cheri: 23 Willpower + Poison Bullet
Nicole: 10 Stamina + Bound

As she did last time, Cheri tried to place two bullets in the same spot to pierce through the ice.

Double Tap

(Double Tap -roll 72, 64- Success! Poison -roll 99, 50- Success!)
(Struggle -roll 5- Crit Fail!)

This time both bullets managed to break through the ice and strike the naga held within.


Cheri: 23 Willpower + Poison Bullet
Nicole: 7 Stamina + Bound + Poisoned(3)

With a clear opening in the ice, Cheri focused on firing a heavier bullet through it.

Change to Earth Bullet —> Focused Fire

(Focused Fire -roll [73, 81]- Fail!)
(Struggle -roll 47- Fail!)

Unfortunately, Cheri just missed the whole she created.


Cheri: 23 Willpower + Poison Bullet
Nicole: 6 Stamina + Bound + Poisoned(2)

Seeing that she had time, Cheri just kept trying to land shots through the hole she made.

All Cheri's shots managed to do was break the ice keeping her foe trapped.

Nicole: 5 Stamina + Poisoned(1)

Hoping that she would still be a little stiff from the cold, Cheri fired another burst of pellets at the naga.

Scatter Shot

(Hypnotic Gaze -roll 41- Fail!)

The naga let out a shriek of pain as the shotgun burst tore into her.

Nicole: 2 Stamina

It was clear that her shots were having an impact on the naga, so Cheri tried to finish this off with one last shot to the forehead.

Focused Fire

The bullet struck the snake woman right between the eyes and she fell to the ground, unconscious.

Cheri didn’t think that far ahead about shooting the naga in the head with a heavy bullet when she wanted to ask her questions. She looked around for a bench or something she could rest the passed out naga on.

Lucky, there was bench not too far from where they fought.

Knowing it may be a little until the naga regained consciousness, Cheri went back on her exploration of the village, hoping that she would find someone more talkative next time.

As Cheri traveled, sweet scent caught her attention. Following her nose led the midara hunter to the town hall. Poking her head inside, she saw a lot of people laid out in makeshift beds.

Tending to them all was a brown-haired woman wearing a translucent purple flower-patterned kimono that barely went to down to her thighs.

Poe: 20 Stamina

Cheri cleared her throat to announce her presence, before saying, “Excuse me miss, but would you be able to answer some of my questions?”

The kimono clad woman looked up at hearing Cheri's voice. "Oh? I was not aware we had a new visitor." she said as she approached. As she came closer, Cheri realized the sweet smell was coming from this woman.


Cheri: 30 Willpower + Mana Bullets
Poe: 20 Stamina

“Well, I just arrived and was hoping to clear up some rumors about this village. Those being that it is a place where mirada and humans coexist, or a human village enslaved by mirada,” Cheri told her, “Or something else from what I see here.”

"Ah," the sweet smelling woman said with a blush as she looked away from Cheri, "when we first came here, we were... rather desperate. We did not realize the effects our enthusiasm would have on the humans until it was too late."


Cheri: 30 Willpower + Mana Bullets
Poe: 20 Stamina

“And this was the outcome of that?” Cheri asked, motioning to the room full of humans, “Did you at least change what your were doing after realizing that?”

The kimono clad woman winced. "These pets, they are trapped in a permanent haze of pleasure. They no longer have the will to clean, feed or take care of themselves. I regret that they have fallen into this state, but taking care of them is all I can do."

“Are you the only one here that has regret about this?” Cheri asked, deciding to ignore the fact she called them pets, “It seems like at least one of the other mirada here doesn’t from how they attacked me as soon as we meet.”

"Some of us don't really have much of a choice." the sweet smelling woman said. "Do you know who attacked you?"

“I never got her name since she didn’t seem to want to chat, but she was a naga, if that helps you figure out who it was,” Cheri informed her.
