Tacticians. Robin meets Liselle. (Fin)

"Hah. You would have been welcome in the Shepherds...Assuming that they got past the whole 'you being a slime' thing." Robin coughed slightly. "Ah. They were the group of people I adventured with."

(You know I wonder what unit Liselle would be if she accidentally got transported into FE-verse)

"I think you made mention of them once or twice. Who are they specifically, if I may ask?" She means upward a bit as she puts her attention solely listening to Robin.

"Hrmm...How to explain it.....They were...a group of mercenaries. Lead by Prince Chrom. They found me laying down on the ground unconscious, and gave me a place to stay in their ranks. They were an army...And they were family." Robin could feel a warm smile make it's way to his face. He held them in such high regard.

(S SUPPORT EVERYONE. HAVE ALL THE SLIME BABIES.)

(I dunno, I can see Liselle having verbal spars against Virion <.<)

"Prince Chrom, it sounds like a royal sanctioned mercenary group. And from the way you look and speak, they seem to treat you well." She then remember one thing about the whole thing. "Just how exactly did you get here? It doesn't sound like you are here by will if you really wanted to stay with the Shepherds."

"Ah...."

Robin's expression fell, becoming a somber one.

"There was...a threat. A Fell Dragon, known as Grima. He threatened to terrorize our world. I was meant to be his vessel, though it didn't work out as well as one would hope. We had a choice. Either Chrom could strike the final blow, putting Grima to sleep...Or I could, which would kill Grima...and myself. I took the latter option, wishing to put an end to him. And...It brought me here."

(Maybe.)

Liselle listens to the story and tries to piece things together before coming up with a few outrageous conclusions. "So it sounds like either Grima and you have the same life force, have some sort of life or fate bond bound to each other, or are potentially the same person except from different time-lines...suppposely but something went awry didn't kill you but sent you here. Did Grima have any aspect of chaos?" Where the heck does Liselle come up with these theories?!

"I mean..He was a dragon of pure destruction, so there was that. Not to mention the fact that I guess I was born in an attempt for his ass to use me as a vessel before my mother took me away. I believe he managed to find a me from a different time and use that instead, or something along those lines."

"So I guess my theory was close to the mark in a sense." She holds out both of her hands to the side. "Doesn't quite explain how you didn't die but ended up in a world full of horny women bent on turning you into a mindless sex slave."

".....Well, a bunch of horny women bent on turning me into a mindless sex slave, and you. But yeah, it seems weird. Maybe some higher power wanted to torment me." Robin sighed. "And besides...Why would they go for me? I'm nothing special. Unless there's some creature that wants a smart guy around."

Liselle shakes her head briefly in doubt "Not sure about that. If I was some higher power that want to make your life miserable, having you meet a slime girl that rather play chess with you and tease you a bit where you should been enslaved or worse wouldn't be my first choice of dealing with you." She looks up in the sky. "Although to be fair, I accidentally found you first while I was above in harpy form."

"True. Very true. Though I still don't know why any Midara would go for me. All I've got going for me are my smarts. Some people say I've got looks, but I don't think so."

"Trust me, Robin. You are plenty cute. And the hair is a fairly exotic touch as well." She reaches to brush his hair. "I am surprised that no one in your world has manage to snag your heart. You got a some qualities that any women would go for, much less midaras."

Robin smiled faintly at her praise. "Thank you...And to be fair, there were a few women who caught my eye..Though one was my friend Chrom's daughter from the future, another was a merchant girl...and then there was one who rode a wyvern into battle...And there was this Dark Mage who supposedly really liked me, for...some reason."

"Huh that is quite a wide variety of people there. Though the daughter of Chrom from the future would be an amusing time pretzel. Then again, your presence also a bit of one as well." She pauses for a moment in thought at the information. "I guess you got a lot of incentive to return back to your world, even if many people believe you are dead due to striking a final blow to Grima."

"Yeah....And he's my pal. I doubt he'd want me dating his daughter from the future. And..yeah. I need to get home...If such a thing is even possible."

"Sadly magic is not one of my fortes, even though I can do a lot of theories with it. Sorry." She offers a sad smile. "Only thing that can be done right now is to make upgrades to your tome so that you'll still want to go home. There are plenty of midaras like me that can accept 'no' for an answer but some will try to make you say 'yes' or don't even give you a choice. And here are your most important asset when dealing such." She points at Robin's boots.

Robin blinked, looking at his feet. "...Kick their behinds or run away? Sounds about right." Smiling, Robin leaned forward and tried giving Liselle a hug. Well..The best he could do to a slime..puddle..being. "Thank you. Seriously, I can't thank you enough."

Liselle is perfectly huggable if she is upright. "Just give my regards to the Shepherds." She gives a friendly smile.

"And to the previous comment, I do mean run away or at least get a better position so you are at an advantage. You got perfectly workable feet, use them. A magic-resistant or magic immune midara would probably be your worst opponent, if I am not already. Fortunate I do not know of any of the former."

"I'll do that. I'd rather not get into any battles, if this fight was any indication. Even if the tome is upgraded, there's no telling if it's enough when you take into account all these Midara."

"Agree, I actually follow the same mentality despite being irritatingly difficult to bring down, only I can get away with not fighting since I can turn transparent and be almost impossible to see. Sadly your arsenal doesn't have a masking or stealth spell, doesn't it?"

"Well if anything, I can escort you to the place where the alchemist lives before we part ways. No sense of having you captured before your journey barely started."

"It doesnt. I can throw exploding lightning spears though. In fact, if you didn't interrupt the charge...I probably would have flung one at you. Most likely miss, too."

Standing up, Robin dusted off his robes. "Sure. Shall we?"

"Sure, if you have any other questions, we can talk about it on the way." She turns around on her puddle before sliding forward, casting a gaze behind to make sure you are ready before moving forward.

Following, the Tactician crossed his arms. "I guess the only question I have now is if there are any places or Midara you can think of that I should try to avoid. I doubt you've seen every Midara, but any info you can give me would be appreciated."

"From what I can recall, some arachnes species tend to suck their mates dry but they act like femme fatales and definitely will not take no for an answer so you can definitely recognize them, just watch out for their web shots. The various succubi are a bit of a mixed bag that either can either life drain you dry or mostly that you do not die but those tend to try to keep you as well. There are some exception though. The biggest red flag, you want to look out for is if they are overly aggressive and won't take no for an answer.

On the flipside, you have some of the dryads, tree nymphs, that are sometimes lonely and will preposition to you for companionship but will not bother you if you politely decline. Many butterflies midaras are some of the most gentlest midaras and only spend time talking to people, just avoid hanging around too long as their dust and kind nature will kind of make you fall in love with them, and they can't really control the dust 100%. It probably won't be required but they also get spooked easily." She taps the end of her puddle once. "In fact, we are in an area that has a lot of them."

"Hrmm...I see. And at the risk of coming off as a pervert...The lonely ones that wan't companionship. I assume that's a permanent thing, or is it more of a 'one and done' kind of deal? I'm just asking in case I end up seeing one and want to help." Pulling the collar of his robe over his mouth and nose, he continued to move after her. Better safe than sorry.
